AB - Growing interest in Serbia in adaptation of viticulture to climate change emerged from a recorded positive impact of summer increased draught on domestic wine quality. Another motivation is that viticulture has been recognized as one of the fastest developing agricultural sectors in Serbia and, to contain its growing potential, it is crucial to provide basis for its future sustainable development. Prioritization and implementation of adaptation measures in practice require reliable assessment of climate projections. For climate change impact assessment is used high resolution multi-model ensemble of nine regional climate models simulations, bias corrected, with two most probable future scenarios of GHG emissions RCP4.5 and RCP8.5, for the period 2016-2100. Analysis has been done for the near future, mid-century and end of the century periods. The periods are defined according to the IPCC 5th Assessment Report, which enables comparison of climate change impacts with a wider region, and preferably motivate future international collaboration and knowledge exchange.

AB - BACKGROUND: Three clones of Cabernet Franc (Nos. 02, 010 and 012) were selected in the last phase of clonal selection in Serbia. Wines made from each clone were assessed for quality parameters and taste during five consecutive vintages (2008-2012) and compared to the standard. The wine quality was determined based on the following parameters: alcohol, total extract, anthocyanins, tannins, pH, titratable acidity, volatile acidity, aldehydes, esters and reducing sugars, relative density, ash, colour, tonality, and tasting score. In the last year of the study, grapes and wines of Cabernet Franc clones and a standard were subjected to a chemical analysis of their phenolic composition, resveratrol and radical scavenging activity. In the last year of the study, grapes and wines of Cabernet Franc clones and a standard were subjected to a chemical analysis of their phenolic composition, resveratrol and radical scavenging activity. Methods: Chemical analyses of grapes and wines along with sensory and radical scavenging activity evaluations were done according to the standard procedures. Results: The wines of the clone No. 010 showed some superior properties compared to the other two clones and the standard; in five-year period the average concentration of anthocyanins (179 +/- 3.8 mg/L) and polyphenolics (1.85 +/- 0.02 g/L) was significantly higher than in wines of clones and the standard, (168-173 mg/L and 1.63-1.74 g/L for anthocyanins and phenolics, respectively). Furthermore, the same clone had a higher alcohol content (13.97 +/- 0.03%) in each year of the study, which indicated that it ripened faster than other clones (13.06-13.08 %) and compared to the standard (13.04 +/- 0.07%). This finding suggested that the clone No. 010 could possibly have a significant economic impact and further increase popularity of Cabernet Franc in a cooler climate viticultural region. It was also found to have the highest contents of aldehydes (488 +/- 1.54 mg/L) and esters (322 +/- 0.71 mg/L) compared to aldehydes (452-467 mg/L) and esters (290-310 mg/L) measured in other wines. Finally, the highest amount of phenolic compounds (1220 +/- 40 mg/kg) and resveratrol (70 +/- 3.3 mg/kg) were found in the grapes of the clone No. 010. The present study revealed a strong correlation of total phenolic contents and anthocyanins with radical scavenging activities (0.936 and 0.929, P lt 0.001, respectively) indicating that this activity of wines was derived mainly from their phenolic compounds. Conclusion: The wine of the clone No. 010 contained the highest concentration of aldehydes, esters, anthocyanins, polyphenolics and resveratrol and consequently achieved the best tasting score. This clone may offer a new Cabernet Franc wine with geographical indication.

AB - organic production is a process that develops a viable and legitimate agricultural ecosystems. The link between man, agriculture and local environmental conditions, provides quality food for people, plants and animals in a healthy environment. There are a few basic principles and ideas that explain the production of organic food in the ecosystem. The organic viticulture production in which there is a balance between environmental conditions, varieties and methods of cultivation. The two main factors that determine the choice of location concepts and establishing assortments. Organic viticulture is widespread mainly in the Mediterranean countries of Europe such as Italy, France and Spain. The Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and constant air currents limiting the development of pests and diseases on grapevines. The same concept can be seen in California, USA and South Africa. In the wine-growing countries with humid climates apply to another concept of organic viticulture, and that is the use of varieties resistant to pests and diseases. In Romania, Germany, Hungary, Switzerland and northern France are represented interspecific hybrids and new resistant varieties. In the north-east of America, on the border with Canada, grown varieties Vitis labrusca and Vitis species in the south rotundifolia. However, in these humid regions is crucial in the selection of sites with appropriate climatic and soil conditions. The choice of suitable climatic conditions is important for conventional viticulture in order to get the best quality of grapes and wine.

AB - During a four-year period, ampelographic experiments focusing on the berry cluster (average length of grape cluster, number of grape clusters per shoot, number of berries per grape cluster and length of peduncle), berry (length of berry and berry juice yield), length of pedicel and seed (length of berry seed) of Merlot cultivar (used as a relevant standard) and 11 clones (Nos. 022, 023, 025, 026, 027, 028, 029, 030, 031, 033 and 034) were performed in order to establish the differences among them. These experiments were actually conducted in the third phase of individual clonal selection of Merlot cultivar carried out in Serbia. The lengths of grape cluster and pedicel as well as berry must yields differed significantly among the examined clones. The cluster and principal component analyses classified 12 samples into three divergent clusters/groups, respectively. The clones belonging to the cluster II /the second group/ had significantly higher values of numbers of grape clusters per shoot and berries per grape cluster; lengths of peduncle and berry; berry must yield and length of pedicel, compared both to standard Merlot /the cluster I, the first group/ and the clones of the cluster III /the third group/. The phenological observations showed no significant differences in the beginnings and durations of phenological stages and vegetation period of the examined clones. The obtained results indicate the real need for further research work focused both on the agrobiological and technological properties of the grapes and wines aiming to better describe the selected clones.

The obtained results indicate the real need for further research work focused both on the agrobiological and technological properties of the grapes and wines aiming to better describe the selected clones., Tokom četvorogodišnjeg perioda urađen je ampelografski opis grozda, bobice i semenke jedanaest klonova (022, 023, 025, 026, 027, 028, 029, 030, 031, 033 i 034) i sorte Merlo (kao standarda) u cilju utvrđivanja razlike među njima.

AB - A study was conducted during three years (2009 - 2011) to evaluate the cropping potential and quality of the grape variety Cabernet franc cultivated in the Trstenik vine growing region. The data obtained showed that Cabernet franc can be successfully grown under the environmental conditions of the Trstenik vine growing region as it produced good yields of high quality grape. Over the three-year period, the average yield per hectare was about 10 t, with the sugar and total acids contents being 200 g l-1 and 6.9 g l-1 respectively, suggesting optimum growing conditions for this variety in the study region.

AB - Grape brandy is a product obtained by fermentation and distillation of crushed grapes of cultivated grapevine Vitis vinifera. Grape brandy quality depends on many factors such as: grapevine varieties, climate, soil, time and method of distillation, storage methods and other distillates. The grapevine variety 'Neoplanta' grown in the experimental field of the PD 'Center for Viticulture and Enology' in Niš was used in the experiment. Tests were performed in the laboratory of the Centre. Healthy grapes of harvest maturity were squashed by a stalk-removing electric crusher. Fermentation was performed in plastic containers in the presence of the indigenous microflora of wine yeasts. This paper presents the influence of pH and inorganic nitrogen added to the fermentation medium on the content of volatile components and concentrations of higher alcohols.
AB - Lozovača ili lozova rakija predstavlja proizvod koji se dobija fermentacijom i destilacijom celog kljuka grožđa plemenite vinove loze Vitis vinifera. Kvalitet rakije lozovače zavisi od velikog broja faktora: sorte vinove loze, klime, zemljišta, vremena i načina destilacije, načina čuvanja destilata i dr.

AB - Aims: The selection of cv. Merlot clones performed in the Grocka winegrowing region, Republic of Serbia, and the study of agrobiological and technological traits of three selected clones and Merlot standard. Methods and results: The selection of clones was done using the method of individual clone selection in four phases over 15-20 years (Cindric, 2003). O.I.V. methods were used in determining the most important agrobiological and economic-technological traits of grapes. The results of studied traits of grape and wine suggest that the quality of the clones surpassed the quality of the standard. Although the highest values for most of the studied traits were obtained for clone 025, there was no statistically significant difference between the clones. Indeed, the significant distinction between the clones was obtained for total polyphenol content (TPC) and total anthocyanin content (TAC) in wines : the wine of clone 025 had the highest TPC and TAC values. According to the tasting scores, wines of the clones may be classified as quality wines with geographical indications. Conclusion: The selected clones were characterised by good quality grapes and wines. Improved viticultural parameters, versus the mother vine, indicate the need for further research work on the chemistry of both grapes and wines, aiming to better understand the characteristics of the selected clones and their market potential. Significance and impact of the study: The development of new clones (namely 022, 025 and 029) of better quality than the mother vine will, in the long term, lead to the introduction of the best clone(s) in viticultural practices and production. Until today, the clonal selection of Merlot has not been done in the Republic of Serbia and there are no recognised clones.

AB - In this paper the differences were examined between clones of Cabernet sauvignon (clones ISV-F-V5, ISV-F-V6 and R5), i.e. the difference between uvological properties of grape clusters and grape berries, based on the different positions on the bearing shoot. Tests were conducted at the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture 'Radmilovac'. Standard ampelographic methods were used in numerous analyses of grape yield, as well as uvological properties of clones. All data were statistically analyzed and processed by the method of two-factor analysis of variance with repeated measuring of one factor (height) and Tukey HSD test. Analysis of variance showed no significant differences between clones. The best results were achieved with grape clusters positioned in the base of bearing shoot. The first positioned grape clusters on the bearing shoot had the highest share in the total grape yield, the highest amount of sugar, and the highest positioned grape clusters had higher content of total acids. The differences determined between examined clones were in regard to productivity and quality of grapes which reflected also on production value.

AB - List of table grape varieties which are actual for growing in Serbia are very traditional. Reason for that is probably relative small consumption of table grape, which are 4-5 kg per population. There is no professional or scientific justification. Large number of table grape varieties and clones of standard varieties had been created in the world and in us in last 20 years. Many grapevine varieties and clones had been imported in Serbia, and new varieties were created here in recent years. All this contributes to the higher quality and quantity offer of table grapes. If favorable ecological conditions have been added to this fact, we will have increased both production and consumption of table grape. The clones of standard table grape varieties: Afuz ali (966 and ISV 9), Muscat Hamburg (206 and 932), Muscat of Alexandria (308), Sultanina (919) and etc., with its features surpass population of varieties. Also, imported varieties: Matilda, Victoria, Michel Pallieri, Black Magic, Velika, Lival, Prima, Danlas and etc., supplemented varieties with different periods of maturation. Our new quality table grape varieties as Demir kapija, Karmen, Srbija, Lasta, etc., are found place in the standard production. Enriched grapevine list will affect that on both better production and consumption of table grape.
Klonovi standardnih sorti: Afuz-ali (klon 966 i ISV 9), Muskat hamburg (klon 206 i 932), Aleksandrijski muskat (klon 308), Sultanina bela (klon 919) i dr., svojim osobinama nadmašuju populaciju sorti. Takođe, introdukovane sorte Matilda, Victoria, Michel Pallieri, Black magic, Velika, Lival, Prima, Danlas i dr., dopunjuju sortiment različitog perioda sazrevanja.

AB - The inheritance of level of susceptibility to three fungal diseases caused by Plasmopara viticola, Oidium tuckeri, and Botrytis cinerea was investigated in seedlings of an F-1 population obtained by crossing Vitis vinifera 'Drenak crveni' and 'Dattier de Beyrouth'. The occurrence of diseases symptoms was observed on leaves and berries and its intensity was estimated according to the O.I.V. descriptors. Unless a quantitative variation was observed, if seedlings of different O.I.V. classes are group into two main categories of susceptible and tolerant individuals, a monogenic inheritance of a major genetic factor for disease susceptibility could be hypothesized for the observed diseases.

AB - In our well - known vineyard area where mostly varieties for colored wines are grown also exist good conditions for white wine varieties. Varieties Pinot blanc, Riesling, Kladovska bela (Pinot noir x Prokupac noir) and Godominka (Dimyat - autogamy self pollination) in those conditions has shown high yield and quality of grapes.
Sorte Burgundac beli, Rizling rajnski, Kladovska bela i Godominka u konkretnim uslovima ispoljavaju zavidne prinose i kvalitet grožđa.

AB - Grapevine growing of table varieties is very interesting, specially in Grocka vineyard area. Agroecological conditions of this vineyard area obtained regular and high results and satisfactory grape quality of table varieties of early ripening periods. The paper study the agribiological and commercial characteristics of new table varieties (Erli muskat, Radmilovački muskat i Banatski muskat). Investigation results show that the average grape yield portion of table grape, which is intend to market, and grape quality, gives important differences between varieties.
AB - Ekološki uslovi većine vinogorja u Srbiji omogućavaju redovnu i visoku rodnost, kao i dobar kvalitet grožđa stonih sorti različitog perioda sazrevanja, a naročito ranog perioda sazrevanja.

AB - The paper shows the results of several years of testing the influence of the size of vine living area and the degree of vine loading with fruitful buds to the most important agrobiological and economic and technological characteristics of cultivar Cabernet Sauvignon. The results confirm beyond any doubt that the increase of vine living area is directly proportional to the increase of vegetative and fruitful potential of individual vines. Smaller vine living area (smaller distances between plantings) decreases fruitfulness of individual vines, and increases grape yield per 1ha. Better grape quality is obtained with larger vine area.

What could one expect from vineyards based on planting material of suspicious origin?.

AB - On the basic of three-year testing of five black wine varieties of the Prolec occidentalis group, grown in the vineyard district of Grocka, the following conclusions can be made: 1. High yield of grapes exhibited variety game black the great, while varieties merlot, Burgundac black and cabernet Souvignon had smaller yield of grapes, and the Caberne franc variety had the smallest yield of grapes. 2. The biggest cluster masshad variety cabernet franc the great, followed by varieties merlot, game black and cabernet Souvignon, while smallest cluster mass had the Burgundac black variety. 3. Biggest berry mass had the cabernet franc variety, while smaller berry mass had varieties merlot, cabernet Souvignon and game black, and smallest berry mass had the Burgundac black variety. 4. Biggest sugar content in must had the Burgundac black variety, while cabernet Souvignon, cabernet franc and merlot varieties had less sugar, and game black the great variety had the smallest sugar content. 5. Biggest content of total acids in must had cabernet Souvignon variety, less acid total had varieties merlot, game black and Burgundac black, and the smallest content of total acids in must had the cabernet franc variety.
AB - U radu su prikazani rezultati proučavanja važnijih agrobioloških i privredno tehnoloških karakteristika pet crnih vinskih sorti grupe Proles occidentalis: Burgundac crni, Game crni, Kaberne sovinjon, Kaberne fran i Merlo u uslovima gročanskog vinogorja.

AB - Results obtained by examining the most important commercial and technological characteristics for five introduced table grapevine cultivars, interspecies hybrids (Frumoasa, Rusmol, Vitjan, Vostorg and Kodrijanka) are represented in this paper. Cultivars were reciprocal compared. Obtained results showed considerable variation in respect of examined characteristics, but contemporary showed ability for successful growing in Grocka-vineyards-area conditions, and in other vineyards-area with the similar agro ecological conditions.

AB - Grapevine growing of table varieties in Serbia is very interesting, specially in Grocka vineyard area. Agro ecological conditions of this vineyard area obtained regular and high results and satisfactory grape quality of table varieties of very early ripening periods. The paper study the agribiological and commercial characteristics of new table varieties (Demir kapija Beogradska rana, Gročanka, Opuzenska rana), standard varieties (Kardinal Erli muskat). Investigation results show that the average grape yield portion of table grape, which is intend to market, and grape quality, gives important differences between varieties.
AB - Gajenje stonih sorti u Srbiji je veoma interesantno, posebno onih veoma ranog perioda sazrevanja. Ekološki uslovi gročanskog, kao i većine drugih vinogorja omogućavaju redovnu i visoku rodnost i dobar kvalitet grožđa stonih sorti ovog vremena sazrevanja.

AB - On the basis of testing of the variation of the Cabernet Franc variety population, grown on OŠD "Radmilovac", Vinča-Grocka, of the Agricultural Faculty in Zemun, the following can be concluded: – tests were performed in the period from 1997 to 2000; – variations of the Cabernet Franc population in agro ecological conditions of the vineyard district of Grocka express positive uvological properties where expressed statistically important and very important differences; – cluster mass of tested variations varies, ranging from 55.96 g (variation 08) to 120,96g (variation 02); – berry mass of tested variations varies, ranging from 1.19 g (variation 016) to 1.71 g (variation 05); – some of the tested variations 02,10 reached a level necessary for approval of clones according to methodology of the Federal Commission for variety testing the agricultural crops.

AB - Grapevine growing of table varieties in Serbia is very interesting, specially in Grocka vineyard area. Agroecological conditions of this vineyard area obtained regular and high results and satisfactory grape quality of table varieties of different ripening periods. The paper study the agribiological and commercial characteristics of new table varieties (Demir kapija, Beogradska rana, Gročanka, Opuzenska rana, Radmilovački muskat, Banatski muskat, Smederevski muskat and Beogradska besemena), standard varieties (Muskat hamburg, Kardinal, Erli muskat, Afuz-ali) and Smederevka, variety with Multipurpose characteristics. Investigation results show that the average grape yield, portion of table grape, which is intend to market, and grape quality, gives important differences between varieties. .
AB - Gajenje stonih sorti u Srbiji je veoma interesantno, a posebno u gročanskom vinogorju, jer ekološki uslovi ovog vinogorja omogućavaju redovnu i visoku rodnost i povoljan kvalitet grožđa stonih sorti različitih epoha sazrevanja.

AB - Taking into account the data concerning new very early table variety 'Serbia', one can conclude : 1. By the method of not controlled fertilization of table variety Ribier /Alphonse Lavallée/,it has been created very early table variety which is named: 'Serbia'. 2. Morphological and physiological characteristics show that ampelographic and genetic significations confirm the identity of the new variety and idendity of the new created genetic potential of Vitis vinifera L. Agro biological chararacteristics show many positive properties as well as many advantages in compararison with control variety Cardinal and variety Ribier. Taking into account grape yield /15.000-20.0000 kg/ha/, the new variety can be sorted in high-yield varieties and concerning maturing time of grape it is very early table variety of Vitis vinifera. Technological characteristics transportability and stability of grape confirms that the variety 'Serbia' is quality table variety and can be to grow and developed under all agroecological conditions in which are growned very early and early table varieties in Yugoslavia, especially variety Cardinal.
AB - U radu je dat sažet prikaz stvaranja veoma rane stone sorte vinove loze 'Srbija'. Rad obuhvata poreklo semena, proizvodnju sejanaca, proizvodnju sadnog materijala, terenska i laboratorijska istraživanja. Ispitivana su važnija botanička, fiziološka, agrobiološka i tehnološka svojstva. .
