AB  - Twenty-seven maize inbreds (12 commercial and 15 developing lines) from Maize Research Institute breeding program were subjected to microsatelite analysis. The aim was genetic diversity determination, establishing relationships among tested lines and assigning them to heterotic groups according to molecular marker data. Number of alelles detected was 97, with an average of 3.23. Major allele frequency was in a range from 0.33 to 0.82 (average 0.55). The highest value for observed heterozygosity was 10% for several developing lines. Mean values for gene diversity and PIC were 0.56 and 0.48, respectively. Frequency-based distances were calculated using Roger's coefficient and average value of 0.57 indicates high genetic diversity in analyzed maize inbreds. Distance matrices were subjected to cluster analysis and PCA. Multivariate analysis methods showed considerable concurrency with pedigree data. Results of analysis with 30 microsatellite markers could be useful for defining/redefining heterotic groups but should be complemented with field testing data.

Uloga integralnih sistema suzbijanja korova u konceptu održive poljoprivrede, I deo - opšti i biološki aspekti integralnih sistema suzbijanja korova

AB  - U radu su iznete osnovne pretpostavke tranzicije ka savremenim integralnim sistemima suzbijanja korova u okviru koncepta održivog razvoja poljoprivrede. Savremeni sistemi zemljoradnje i tehnologije gajenja glavnih ratarskih i povrtarskih kultura nalažu potrebu integrisanja nove strategije kontrole korovske vegetacije na oranicama u bitno izmenjenim uslovima. Istraživanja u oblasti biologije i ekologije korova, posebno modeliranje dinamike korovske populacije, predstavljaće osnov iznalaženja, odabira i uvođenja novih metoda suzbijanja, sa ciljem smanjenja opasnosti po agroekosistem i životnu sredinu. Redukcija u primeni hemijskih zaštitnih sredstava apsolutno je ostvariv cilj sa aspekta sagledivih potencijala alelopatije i konkurentske sposobnosti gajenih vrsta i mogućnosti da se savremenim metodama selekcije i biotehnologije, te raspoloživim agronomskim merama ostvari uspešna kontrola korovske populacije na nivou praga štetnosti. Sistemi organske zemljoradnje, a u manjoj meri i opisani konzervacijski sistemi, nezamislivi su bez adekvatne uloge plodoreda, gajenja pokrovnih useva, gajenja useva u konsocijacijama i dr. Sveobuhvatna, precizna primena agrotehničkih, fizičkih, bioloških i hemijskih mera suzbijanja korova od posebnog je značaja u gajenju povrća na ekološki prihvatljivim osnovama. Prvi deo rada obuhvata i biološke aspekte, dok se drugi deo odnosi na agronomske aspekte integralnih sistema suzbijanja korova.

Effects of liming and the application of various phosphorous fertilizers on potato yield in pseudoglay type soil in the dragačevo region

AB  - During the period between 1993 and 1995, an investigation of the fertilizing effect on the potato yield was conducted on the extremely acidulous pseudoglay (pH in KC1 3.25) in Guča. NJIVAL was applied as a lime source in the quantity of 8 t.ha-1, and LIFOS (origin Lisina, near Bosilegrad, containing 15% P2Os and 22% CaO) in the quantity of 1.2 and 3 t.ha-1. On the basis of different applied lime quantities, the effect of fertilizing with standard nitrogen and potassium was established. Unfavorable soil chemical properties (pH, content of P 2O5, Al, and % V) were considerably improved by the application of a NJIVAL and LIFOS combination, compared to an application of NJIVAL alone. Chemical characteristics of the soil were also corrected to a certain point, first of all, P2O5 with the application of LIFOS in the combination with nitrogen and potassium fertilizers. Potato yields in all variants with NJIVAL and LIFOS applications were statistically quite significantly higher in regard to the control variant and to the variant with NPK fertilizers. The average potato yield of 13.414 kg.ha-1 achieved by the application of LIFOS (3 t.ha-1) and NJIVAL (8 t.ha -1), in combination with nitrogen and potassium fertilizers, represented a yield increase of 44 % apropos to the control variant.
