AB  - Korovski suncokret (Helianthus annuus L.) je invazivna vrsta na teritoriji Republike Srbije koja izaziva značajno smanjenje prinosa u različitim poljoprivrednim kulturama. Tokom žetve suncokreta dolazi do rasipanja semena iz koga se u narednim godinama mogu razviti samonikle biljke. Ukoliko se, na određenoj površini, samonikle biljke suncokreta razvijaju duži vremenski period doći će do pojave korovskih formi ove vrste. Spontana hibridizacija korovskog suncokreta sa drugim formama suncokreta može prouzrokovati značajnu agresivnost ove invazivne vrste. Samonikle biljke suncokreta koje potiču od hibrida tolerantnih na ALS inhibitore su uglavnom nosioci gena tolerantnosti zbog čega je njihova osetljivost na herbicide značajno smanjena. Razmenom genetičkog materijala između različitih formi i tolerantnih hibrida suncokreta omogućen je transfer ALS gena koji je odgovoran za tolerantnost na herbicide ALS inhibitore na potomstvo. Poljski ogled je izveden na dva lokaliteta u okolini Požarevca, a tokom tri godine evidentirana je spontana hibridizacije između tolerantnih hibrida suncokreta (Sumo 1 PR i Rimi) i osetljivih hibrida suncokreta (hibrid Duško), samoniklog suncokreta (poreklom od osetljivog hibrida Sremac) i korovskog suncokreta.

AB  - Biological production of 12 populations of weed species Abutilon theophrasti Medik. from diff erent geographical origin was studied in our agroecological conditions. Seeds of these populations were collected at the stage of physical maturity at the following locations: Catalonia-Spain (CAT), Croatia (CRO), Greece (GRE), Hungary (HUN), Iowa-USA(IOWA ), Legnaro-Italy (ITA), Minnesota-USA (MIN), Portugal (POR), Serbia (SER), Slovenia (SLO), Arganda-Spain (SPA) i Piza-Italy (TOS). In the autumn of 2013 seeds were planted at the Experimental farm of Faculty of Agriculture 'Radmilovac' with density 1 plant per 0.25 m2. At the stage of maturity numerous vegetative (plant height, root length, the number of branches, the number of leaves, leaf area) and generative (the number of capsules per plant, the number of locules per capsule, diameter of capsule, weight of seeds per plant) parameters were measured. Comprehensive analysis of the measured parameters was confirmed that the biological production of the studied populations differ, whereby these differences depended on the observede parameters. For vegetative parameters, differences were most pronounced for leaf area. For generative parameters differences between populations were most pronaunced for the number of capsules per plant and weight of seeds per plant.
AB  - Biološka produkcija 12 populacija korovske vrste Abutilon theophrasti Medik. različitog geografskog porekla, je proučavana u našim agroekološkim uslovima. Semena ovih populacija su sakupljena u fazi fi zičke zrelosti na sledećim lokalitetima: Katalonija-Španija (CAT), Hrvatska (CRO), Grčka (GRE), Mađarska (HUN), Ajova-SAD (IOWA ), Legnaro-Italija (ITA), Minesota-SAD (MIN), Portugal (POR), Srbija (SER), Slovenija (SLO), Arganda-Španija (SPA) i Piza-Italija (TOS). U jesen 2013. godine semena su posejana na oglednom dobru Poljoprivrednog fakulteta 'Radmilovac' u gustini od 1 biljke na 0,25 m2. U fazi plodonošenja mereni su brojni vegetativni (visina stabla, dužina korena, broj grana, broj listova, površina listova) i generativni (broj čaura, prečnik čaura, broj kućica u čauri, masa semena po biljci) parametri. Analizom merenih parametara potvrđeno je da se biološka produkcija ispitivanih populacija razlikuje, u zavisnosti od ispitivanog parametra. Kod vegetativnih parametara najizraženije razlike su konstatovane kod površine listova, dok su kod generativnih parametra najizraženije razlike utvrđene za broj čaura i masu semena po biljci.

Transfer of genes responsible for herbicide tolerance from crop to wild relatives

AB  - Due to an intesive growing of crops tolerant to herbicides, obtained by conventional breeding methods or by genetic engineering (genetically modified - GM crops), interest for studies of gene transfer from crops to wild relatives has increased in the last two decades. This paper provides an overview of the risks associated with growing crops tolerant to herbicides, with the most attention paid to transfer of genes responsible for tolerance through pollen. Also, potential barriers for prevention of this problem were analyzed. Considering that sunflower hybrids tolerant to herbicides cultivate in our country, potential risks of gene transfer from these hybrids to wild relatives were discussed. A study of the transfer of genes responsible for tolerance to herbicides has mostly been limited to the hybrid offspring of the F1 generation so far. However, research in this area in the future should be focused on the long-term effects of this phenomenon studies.
AB  - Usled sve učestalijeg gajenja useva tolerantnih na herbicide, bilo da su dobijeni klasičnim metodama oplemenjivanja (netransgeni usevi) ili primenom genetičkog inženjeringa (trans- geni tj. genetički modifikovani (GM) usevi), interesovanje za proučavanje transfera gena sa useva na divlje srodnike je poraslo u poslednje dve decenije. U ovom radu je dat pregled rizika povezanih sa gajenjem useva tolerantnih na herbicide, pri čemu je najviše pažnje posvećeno transferu gena odgovornih za tolerantnost putem polena. Takođe, sagledane su i potencijalne barijere za sprečavanje ove pojave. S obzirom da se kod nas gaje hibridi suncokreta tolerantni na imidazolinone i tribenuron-metil, razmotreni su i potencijalni rizici od transfera gena sa ovih hibrida na divlje srodnike. Proučavanje transfera gena odgovornih za tolerantnost na herbicide do sada je uglavnom bilo ograničeno na hibridno potomstvo F1 generacije. Ipak, istraživanja u ovoj oblasti u budućnosti treba usmeriti na proučavanje dugotrajnih efekata ove pojave.

Weedy sunflower: Helianthus annuus L.

AB  - Weedy forms of Helianthus annuus L. are morphologically clearly different from the hybrids and volunteer plants. The main traits distinguishing weedy sunflower are strong branching without apical dominance, production of many seed heads, reduced size of the seed head and achene in comparison with the cultivated sunflower, seed dormancy and shattering. Hybridization between cultivated and their volunteer or weedy (or wild) sunflower is inevitable in regions of traditional sunflower crop production. Weedy sunflower is a large problem in whole area in Balkan Peninsula where sunflower planting, like as in Hungary, Croatia, Romania, Serbia and etc. Those plants have adapted to different environment in an undesired way, becoming harmful and invasive weeds such it was happened in Banat, Bačka, Srem and Belgrade area. Weedy sunflower can emerge during the row crops cycle (maize, sugerbeet, sunflower, soybean etc) and cause considerable yield losses if present at high densities. Introduced in the production system tolerant sunflower hybrids are at risk of gene flow from tolerant crop to weedy sunflower to form resistant weedy populations. Stewardship programs for imidazolinone and sulfonilurea tolerant crops have been developed and implemented to reduce gene flow and weed resistance and to preserve these effective weed-management tools.
AB  - Hibridna forma divljeg suncokreta Helianthus annuus L. je veoma srodna gajenom suncokretu, od kojeg se razlikuje po jakom grananju, visini biljaka, prisutnosti pigmenta antocijana u različitim organima, mnogobrojnim glavicama, relativno malim ahenijama koje se oslobađaju tokom zrenja, dormantnosti i lomljivosti semena itd. Gajeni i divlji suncokret su reproduktivno kompatibilni i istraživanja su pokazala da se mogu lako ukrštati kada rastu u blizini. Na našim prostorima, hibridne frome divljeg suncokreta su u invaziji i najveće populacije su zastupljene na području Banata, Bačke, Srema i u okolini Beograda. Između populacija ovih formi divljeg suncokreta jako je izražena varijabilnost. Ove korovske biljke sa neobradivih površina i rubova parcela često prodiru u okopavinske useve (kukuruz, soja, suncokret, šećerna repa) i dovode do značajnih gubitaka u prinosu. Uvođenjem u proizvodnju hibrida suncokreta tolerantnih na herbicide ALS inhibitore stvara se potencijalni rizik od protoka gena sa hibrida u hibridne forme divljeg suncokreta i dobijanja rezistentnih korovskih populacija.

Stewardship programs for imidazolinone and sulfonilurea tolerant crops have been developed and implemented to reduce gene flow and weed resistance and to preserve these effective weed-management tools., Hibridna forma divljeg suncokreta Helianthus annuus L. je veoma srodna gajenom suncokretu, od kojeg se razlikuje po jakom grananju, visini biljaka, prisutnosti pigmenta antocijana u različitim organima, mnogobrojnim glavicama, relativno malim ahenijama koje se oslobađaju tokom zrenja, dormantnosti i lomljivosti semena itd. Gajeni i divlji suncokret su reproduktivno kompatibilni i istraživanja su pokazala da se mogu lako ukrštati kada rastu u blizini. Na našim prostorima, hibridne frome divljeg suncokreta su u invaziji i najveće populacije su zastupljene na području Banata, Bačke, Srema i u okolini Beograda. Između populacija ovih formi divljeg suncokreta jako je izražena varijabilnost. Ove korovske biljke sa neobradivih površina i rubova parcela često prodiru u okopavinske useve (kukuruz, soja, suncokret, šećerna repa) i dovode do značajnih gubitaka u prinosu. Uvođenjem u proizvodnju hibrida suncokreta tolerantnih na herbicide ALS inhibitore stvara se potencijalni rizik od protoka gena sa hibrida u hibridne forme divljeg suncokreta i dobijanja rezistentnih korovskih populacija.",

AB  - Three weedy sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) populations (WS-P1 and WS-P2 - originated from sites where herbicide ALS inhibitors used many years; WS-P3- was obtained from a site where herbicides was never used) were studied for ecological fitness assessment. Vegetative parameters (plant height, fresh weight, leaf area), relative chlorophyll content, fecundity and percentage of germination, length and weight of seedlings in filed/control conditions were recorded during two years. The most frequently WS-P1 and WS-P2 populations were of better ecological fitness than the WS-P3 population. Based on the results it was found that populations of WS which originated from sites where herbicides permanent used are with better ecological fitness in compare with population which originated from a site where herbicides was never used it was connect with genetic diversity and polymorphism which could promote the invasiveness of these weedy sunflower populations in landscape.
AB  - Tri populacije korovskog suncokreta (Helianthus annuus L.) (KS-P1 i KS-P2 - potiču sa površina gde je duži niz godina bilo primene herbicida ALS inhibitora; KS-P3- potiče sa površine gde nikada nije bilo primene herbicida) su ispitivane u cilju procene njihovog fitnesa. Za procenu fitnesa u poljskim uslovima proučavani su vegetativni parametri (visina biljaka, sveža masa, lisna površina), relativni sadržaj hlorofila, prinos i parametri prinosa (broj glavica po biljci i prečnik glavice). U kontrolisanim uslovima ispitivana je klijavost semena, dužina i masa klijanaca. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata zaključeno je da populacije KS koje potiču sa površina gde su primenjivani herbicidi su sa boljim vegetativnim i generativnim potencijalom, a što se može dovesti u vezu sa izraženijim genetičkim polimorfizmom koji im omogućava veću i uspešniju invazivnost.

Response of Avena fatua L. to pyroxulam

AB  - Responses of weed species Avena fatua L. to pyroxulam were studied in pots on the open field. Pyroxulam were applied when plants were 15-20 cm high. Herbicide applied at five different rates (150g ha-1; 112.5 g ha-1, 75 g ha-1, 37.5 g ha-1 i 18.75 g ha-1) without and with adition of adjuvant Dassoil in rate of 500 ml ha-1, while control were not treated. For estimation plant responses to growing rates of pyroxulam the next parameters were neasured and analyzed: vizual estimation of plant damage (7 and 14 days after herbicide application), fresh and dry weight (14 days after herbicide application). Responses of A. fatua to pyroxulam were different depend on application rate of herbicide, adition of adjuvant and studied parameter. Adition of ajuvant increased reduction of measured parameters, although its impact on pyroxulam effect were more prominent based on ED50 values. Namely, ED50 value for fresh weight was more higher when pyroxulam applied without adjuvant (42.16 g ha-1), then in case when adjuvant Dassoil added (13.96 g ha-1).
AB  - Reakcije korovske vrste Avena fatua L. na piroksulam su ispitivane u saksijama na otvorenom polju. Primena piroksulama je obavljena kada su biljke dostigle visinu od 15-20 cm. Herbicid je primenjen u 5 različitih količina (150g ha-1; 112,5 g ha-1; 75 g ha-1; 37,5 g ha-1 i 18,75 g ha-1) i to u varijanti bez okvašivača i uz dodatak okvašivača Dassoil u količini od 500 ml ha-1, a kontrola nije tretirana. Za procenu reakcija biljaka na primenu rastućih količina piroksulama mereni su i analizirani sledeći parametri: vizuelna ocena oštećenja (7 i 14 dana nakon primene herbicida), sveža i suva masa biljaka (14 dana nakon primene herbicida). Reakcije A. fatua na piroksulam bile su različite u zavisnosti od količine primene herbicida, dodatka okvašivača i ispitivanog parametra. Dobijeni rezultati su potvrdili opravdanost dodavanja okvašivača, s tim što je njegov uticaj na efekat piroksulama bio uočljiviji na osnovu ED50 vrednosti. Naime, ED50 vrednost za svežu masu je bila znatno veća u slučaju primene piroksulama bez dodatka okvašivača (42,16 g ha-1), nego u slučaju kada je dodat okvašivač Dassoil (13,96 g ha-1).
