AB  - The objective of this paper was to study variability, heritability and correlation of the three production traits in 1409 first-calf heifers of Holstein-Friesian breed; including the determination of the quantity of milk during lactation (ML), the quantity of milk fat during lactation (MM) and the quantity of protein during lactation (PR). According to the obtained results it could be concluded that there were statistically significant differences (P lt 0.01, P lt 0.05, P lt 0.001) between ML, MM and PR regarding the effect of season of the first calving and the length of the first lactation. In addition, there were also significant differences (P lt 0.01, P lt 0.001) between ML and PR with respect to the effect of farm on which animals were raised, while on MM variability the year and age at first calving had a significant effect (P lt 0.05). A share of Holstein genes and the ration which animals were fed had no effect (P>0.05) on variability of any of the examined traits, while the farm on which animals were raised had no effect (P>0.05) on MM, and year and age at first calving did not demonstrate (P>0.05) statistically significant effect on ML and PR. By applying the animal model, based on the use of kinship matrix which involved 3867 animals, by help of REML methodology following heritability coefficients were evaluated: ML h(2) = 0.25; MM h(2) = 0.40; PR h(2) = 037. Coefficients determined for genetic and phenotypic correlations indicated existence of complete and positive correlations between these traits the interval of values being from r(g )= 0.96 between ML and MM to r(g) = 1.00 between ML and PR.

The effect of tannin supplementation of mid-lactation dairy cows diets on metabolic profile parameters and production characteristics

AB  - The aim of this study was to examine the effect of using tannin supplement in ration for mid-lactation dairy cows (90 +/- 17 days in milk) and the number of lactation on metabolic profile parameters values. Additionally, the effect of tannin supplementation on cows' production characteristics in the 2nd lactation was evaluated. Research was conducted on 80 Holstein cows divided into two groups of 40 cows (control and experimental group) that included 16 cows in 2nd and 12 in 3rd and 4th lactation. The tannin supplement Tanimil SCC (40 g/cow/day; 40% of tannins) was added in the total mixed ration (TMR) of experimental group, while the control group of cows was fed ration without the tannin supplement. The trial lasted 60 days. Dairy cows, fed diet supplemented with tannin, had markedly lower values (P lt 0.05) of B-hydroxybutyrate concentration (0.79 vs. 0.96 mmol/L) and lower blood urea concentration (5.89 vs. 6.93 mmol/L). Difference in the blood glucose concentrations (3.92 vs. 3.89 mmol/L) was not significant. The lactation number had no significant effect on values of metabolic profile parameters (concentration of glucose, B-hydroxybutyrate and urea). The effect of interaction of lactation number and tannin supplement on the values of examined parameters of metabolic profile was not significant. Supplementation of tannin in the diet for cows in the second lactation, had a positive effect (P lt 0.05) on the milk yield (4.42%) and yield of 4% fat corrected milk (FCM, 5.24%). The use of tannin, improved concentration (3.20 vs. 3.12%) and yield (from 1.16 to 1.24 kg/day) of milk protein (P lt 0.05). Addition of tannin also improved concentration and yield of milk fat, as well as the concentration of lactose. The supplementation of Tanimil SCC to mid-lactation dairy cows had a positive impacts on reduction of blood content of B-hydroxybutyrate and urea, and improved productive performances of cows in the second lactation.

The soybean molasses in diets for dairy cows

AB  - The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of the use of soybean molasses in the nutrition of lactating cows on their performance and some blood and rumen content parameters. Treatments included isoenergetic and isoprotein rations: total mixed ration (TMR) which included 1 kg of soybean molasses and TMR without soybean molasses. The use of soybean molasses in TMR for lactating cows increased yield of 4 % FCM (5.03 %). There was no difference in milk fat content and yield between treatments. The use of soybean molasses increased the concentration (3.45 vs 3.32 %) and yield (from 0.81 to 0.88 kg/day) of milk protein. Improved utilization of consumed ration dry matter (DM), energy and crude protein by 4.60, 4.81 and 7.82 %, respectively, was confirmed. There was no significant effect of including soybean molasses in TMR on ruminal pH value, number and structure of protozoa population nor on their motility. Soybean molasses had a positive effect on decrease of the urea blood concentration (5.45 vs 6.30 mmol/L) while no significant effects were observed for the concentrations of glucose, Ca and P in blood. Results of this study indicate that soybean molasses, as a source of readily available energy, can be used successfully in rations for lactating cows.

The influence of wilting and compaction degree on parameters of chemical composition, proteolysis and quality of lucerne silage

AB  - The influence of wilting, actually two levels of dry matter content (DM = 250 and 360 gkg-1) and three levels of compaction (460, 550 and 620 gdm-3) on variations in parameters of chemical composition, proteolysis and quality of lucerne silage was investigated. The experiment was set as 2x3 factorial with three replications per each treatment. Based on the results of chemical analysis, there was no significant variation within the contents of basic nutrients (p>0.05), while some variation was observed in lipid and carbohydrate contents. In silages with higher dry matter content the reduction of fermentation was observed, with acetate as dominant product in acid contents in A2B1 treatment, and also reduction in proteolytic processes which shows as lower ammonia and soluble nitrogen content (p lt 0.05). With the increase of level of compaction the increase in lactic acid was observed, with decrease in ammonia and soluble nitrogen (p lt 0.05). In material with natural moisture content, regardless of the level of compaction, the butyric fermentation was observed and intensified aminogenesis. On the basis of this investigation it can be concluded that wilting and adequate compaction are the key physical factors which influence silage quality parameters.
AB  - U radu je ispitivan uticaj provenjavanja, odnosno dva stepena sadržaja suve materije (SM = 250 i 360 gkg-1) i tri stepena sabijenosti (460, 550 i 620 gdm-3) na promene parametara hemijskog sastava, proteolize i kvaliteta silaže lucerke. Eksperiment je postavljen po statističkom modelu 2x3 u tri ponavljanja po svakom tretmanu. Na osnovu rezultata laboratorijskih analiza, utvrđeno je nesignifikantno variranje u sadržaju pojedinih hranljivih materija (p>0,05), izuzev masti i ugljenih hidrata. U silažama sa većim stepenom suve materije utvrđena je redukcija fermentacije, sa dominacijom sirćetne u ukupnom sadržaju kiselina u tretmanu A2B1, kao i redukcija proteolitičkih procesa, odnosno manji sadržaj amonijaka i rastvorljivog zota (p lt 0,05). Sa povećanjem stepena sabijenosti došlo je do porasta apsolutnog udela mlečne kiseline i smanjenja udela amonijačnog i rastvorljivog azota (p lt 0,05). U materijalu sa prirodnim sadržajem vlage, bez obzira na stepen sabijanja, došlo je do buterne fermentacije i intenziviranja aminogeneze. Na osnovu izvedenih ispitivanja može se zaključiti da su provenjavanje i adekvatno sabijanje ključni fizički faktori za parametre kvaliteta silaže lucerke.

AB  - Different phases of plant development (beginning of bloom - 10% flowers, midbloom - 50% flowers), two growth cycles (II and IV cut) and two levels of biomass wilting (DM = 320 gkg-1 and 410 gkg-1) on changes in chemical composition, proteolysis and quality of lucerne silage were investigated in this experiment. Experiment was set as statistical model 2×2×2 (2k). Based on the results of chemical analysis it is confirmed that in earlier cut lucerne silages there was more crude protein, ammonia and soluble nitrogen , and less crude fiber (p lt 0.05). Lucerne silages from IV cut were very little different from silages from II cut in nutrient content and quality parameters. Wilting lucerne to the highest level of dry matter reduced total fermentation and proteolysis (p lt 0.05). At the same time there were no significant differences in chemical composition of silages (p>0.05), unless protein. On the basis of this investigations it can be concluded that ensiling of lucerne in latter phases of plant development, with higher degree of wilting, produces silages with better quality parameters, but also with significantly lower nutritive value. Therefore the use of various methods of induction and stimulation of lactic acid fermentation is recommended for lucerne mass cut in earlier development phases - with the aim to obtain maximum nutrients and best quality.
AB  - U radu je ispitivan uticaj različitih faza razvića (početak cvetanja - 10% iscvetalosti, sredina cvetanja - 50% iscvetalosti), dva ciklusa korišćenja (II i IV otkos) i dva stepena provenulosti biomase, odnosno sadržaja suve materije (SM = 320 g/kg i 410 g/ kg) na promene parametara hemijskog sastava, proteolize i kvaliteta silaže lucerke. AB  - The objective of this study was to compare effects of products derived from soybeans, with different oil content, on milk production and some, more important indicators of metabolic profile, during the middle period of lactation. The experiment was conducted on two groups of Holstein cows. There were 15 cows in each group. The ration of the control group of cows (I), was based on equal amounts of full-fat and low-fat (expeller soybeans meal), heat treated soybeans. Cows in experimental group (II) were received ration, wherein full-fat heat treated soybeans, was completely replaced with expeller soybeans meal (Biopro 60). At the end of experiment, milk production in control group of cows was 29.95 kg with butterfat content 3.54%, while in the experimental group it was 31.47 kg of milk with the butterfat content 3.45%. The differences of mentioned parameters were not statistically significant (p>0.05), nor in the case of protein content which was 3.50% in control group and 3.48% in experimental group of cows. According to achieved results it can be concluded that is possible to improve production, when nutrition of cows is based on soybean products with lower fat content, during the middle period of lactation.
AB  - Cilj istraživanja je bio poređenje uticaja proizvoda od soje, sa različitim sadržajem ulja, na proizvodne rezultate i važnije pokazatelje metaboličkog profila krava, u srednjem periodu laktacije. Ogled je sproveden na dve grupe krava, crno-bele rase u tipu Holštajna, sa po 15 grla u grupi. Obrok kontrolne grupe krava (I) zasnivao se na kombinaciji termički tretirane soje, punomasne i obezmašćene (sojina pogača). Krave ogledne grupe (II) konzumirale su obrok, u kome je punomasna termički tretirana soja u potpunosti zamenjena sojinom pogačom (Biopro 60). Na kraju ogleda, u kontrolnoj grupi, ostvarena je proizvodnja mleka od 29,95 kg, sa sadržajem mlečne masti od 3,54%, dok je u oglednoj grupi ostvarena proizvodnja od 31,47 kg sa 3,45% mlečne masti. Razlike u napred pomenutim proizvodnim pokazateljima nisu bile statistički značajne (p>0,05), kao ni u slučaju sadržaja proteina koji je u prvoj grupi bio 3,50%, a u drugoj grupi 3,48%. Na osnovu ostvarenih rezulata, može se zaključiti da je moguće uticati na povećanje proizvodnje mleka korišćenjem proizvoda na bazi soje sa manjim sadržajem ulja, u ishrani krava, u srednjem periodu laktacije.

AB  - The main objective of this research was to study the effect of rations containing full-fat extruded soybeans or fat-extracted heat treated soybean meal, in the nutrition of dairy cows during the period of middle lactation. The study was carried out with two groups of 15 Holstein cows. The animal's health was controlled on the basis of body condition score, results in production, general condition of animals and some of the most important biochemical parameters of blood serum. In the case of nutrition based on rations where the total amount of soybeans was extruded or where it was partially replaced with fat-extracted heat treated soybean meal, the production of 4% fat corrected milk was 28.43 and 28.78 kg. Observed differences were not statistically significant (p > 0.05). The differences in the achieved average content of milk fat (3.38 and 3.45%) and protein (3.48 and 3.48%) were not statistically significant (p > 0.05). AB  - Fattening of broiler chickens is a very specific production process characterized by intensive production principles, rapid increase in broilers, small consumption of food/kg of gain (feed conversion ratio) and a large production of broilers' meat per square meter of surface. In order to increase the profitability of this production, the intention of farmers is to reduce the duration of production as well as to increase population density, with the aim of increasing the production of broiler chickens' meat, calculated per unit of surface (m(2)). However, most of the countries in the world, in order to protect and preserve the welfare of poultry, limit the maximum of broilers' meat production by regulations and standards. These researches aim to determine the optimal density and duration of fattening in a way to achieve the best production results and the profitability of fattening the broiler chickens hybrids Cobb 500 in temperate continental climate, while preserving the welfare of poultry. From six different population densities (16.84, 16.33, 14.29, 12.75, 14.80 and 15.46 birds per m(2)) and fattening period between 37 and 40 days, the best production and economic performance showed that a group of chickens that was fattened in a period of 40 days had a population density of about 16 birds per m(2). This group of broilers produced the most meat per m(2) (about 33 kg), the welfare of poultry is maintained and the standard was not exceeded, so we can say that the best economy and profitability of fattening broiler chickens in the concerned region is achieved. In other groups of chickens, profitability could be more advantageous if the increased population density goes up to 16 birds per m(2); or the duration of fattening could be extended up to 40 days and by this way the welfare of poultry would not be violated.

AB  - During the last ten years, poultry production in the world and particularly, EU has been specific due to new trends, whereby special attention is focused on regulations and procedures that are adopted by European Union (EU), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the World Trade Organization. Legal regulations in EU (standards, directions) are focused on all species and categories of poultry. Based on this, breeding of broiler (meat-type line strains) and production of hatching eggs and day old chickens (incubation) as well as other issues are the focus of this review. This paper presented results of studies carried out using different technological procedures in the breeding of broiler and production of one day old chickens. These showed a full expression of genetic potential of strains, along with preservation of poultry welfare.

AB  - Influence of pelleting calf feed mixtures supplemented with bentoni on microbiological and mycotoxicological properties was investigated. Microbiological and mycotoxicological quality was investigated at the production day (day 0) and after 45 days of storage. Total count of microorganisms in the pelleted mixture, at the day 0 (280.000/g), was several times lower than in the powdered mixture (2.000.000/g). Similar results were obtained at day 45 when the total number of microorganisms in the pelleted mixture was 270.000/g and 1.800.000/g in the powdered mixture. Number of yeasts and molds at the production day in the pelleted mixture was 650/g, and in the powdered mixture it was 27.000/g. Similar results were obtained 45 days later when the number of yeasts and molds in the pelleted mixture was 540/g, and 16.000/g in the powdered mixture. There were 6 species identified in the pelleted mixture, and 9 species in the powdered mixture at the day of production. Similar mold species ratio in the pelleted (11) and powdered mixture (13) was found at day 45. In the examined samples representatives of Fusarium genus - F. subglutinans i F. verticillioides dominated. Number of sultite-redzcing clostridia in the mixtures, in both observed periods, was similar (below 1000/g of sample). By mycotoxicological analysis of mixtures at the production day, only trichotecene (T-2 toxin) presence was found in amount of 0,337 mg/kg. The applied technological procedure of pelleting with bentonite supplement, had positive influence on the improvement of microbiological and toxicological properties of mixture.
AB  - U ogledu je ispitivan uticaj peletiranja krmnih smeša za telad sa dodatkom bentonita na mikrobiološku i mikotoksikološku ispravnost smeša. Brašnasta i peletirana krmna smeša za telad su proizvedene po istoj recepturi. Mikrobiološka i mikotoksikološka ispravnost smeša ispitana je na dan proizvodnje (0-ti dan) i posle 45 dana lagerovanja. Ukupan broj mikroorganizama u peletiranoj smeši, na dan proizvodnje (280.000/g) bio je višestruko manji od broja u brašnastoj smeši (2.000.000/g). Slično je bilo 45 dana kasnije, kada je ukupan broj mikroorganizama u peletiranoj smeši iznosio 270.000/g, odnosno 1.800.000/g u brašnastoj smeši. Mikotoksikološkom analizom smeša na dan proizvodnje utvrđeno je jedino prisustvo trihotecena (T-2 toksin) u količini od 0,337 mg/kg smeše. Primenjeni tehnološki postupak peletiranja, uz dodatak bentonita kao vezivnog sredstva, imao je pozitivan uticaj na poboljšanje mikrobiološke i toksikološke ispravnosti ispitivanih krmnih smeša.

AB  - The overview of additives used in silage preparation is presented in the paper. Those most present around the world these days are biological additives (bacterialenzymatic inoculants). They are used to enhance the fermentation in the plant material which is difficult to ensile (leguminous), and also in order to increase aerobic stability in maize silage (which is the most common in our country). Aside from those mentioned, also the additives based on zeolite are intensively investigated in Serbia. The obtained results show the decrease in some mycotoxin contents in silages with the zeolite added. It is also confirmed that those additives decrease proteolytic activity, which is particularly important in maize silage with urea added.
AB  - U radu je dat pregled aditiva koji se danas najviše koriste pri siliranju. Najaktuelniji su, širom sveta, biološki dodaci (bakterijsko-enzimski inokulanti). Koriste se radi intenzifikacije fermentacije u biljnom materijalu koji se teže silira (leguminoze), kao i u cilju povećanja aerobne stabilnosti kukuruzne silaže (najčešće spremana vrsta slaže kod nas). Osim ovih dodataka, u Srbiji se nekoliko godina intenzivno ispituju aditivi na bazi zeolita. Dobijeni rezultati govore o smanjenju količine nekih mikotoksina u silaži sa dodatim sredstvima na bazi zeolita. Pored toga, dokazano je i smanjenje proteolitičkih procesa, što je naročito bitno za silaže kukuruza sa dodatom ureom.

AB  - In this paper are presented results of usage of domestic and imported milk replacers. Domestic replacer is produced in the Factory of plant oils and proteins "Bioprotein" from Obrenovac, within the business system "Bankom", Belgrade. Domestic milk replacer quality was adjusted according to modern regulations in calves’ nutrition. The best materials were applied as milk replacer’s ingredients. Basically it consisted of milk powder, whey powder, fool fat, heated and blanched NGM soybean, isolated soybean proteins, yeast, concentrated fats, dextrose, emulsifier, mineral and vitamin additives, antioxidant, amino acids, toxin adsorbents and other materials. Production was conducted on highly specialized equipment. Contents of bacteria per one gram of sample was lower than 50,000. There were no of fungi, mould or pathogenic microorganisms present in the sample. Calves were consuming milk replacers in the amount of 6-7 L daily, but divided in two equal quantities in the morning and evening. Period of liquid nutrition lasted two months, which was the end of the trial. During the trial, calves that were consuming domestic milk replacer achieved average daily body weight gain (526 g), higher compared to calves that were consuming imported milk replacer (479 g). The deference was statistically significant (p lt 0.05). There were no health disorders or mortality, in both groups of calves.
AB  - U radu su prikazani rezultati ispitivanja upotrebe domaće i uvozne zamene za mleko. Domaća zamena za mleko proizvedena je u Fabrici biljnih ulja i proteina "Bioprotein" iz Obrenovca, poslovni sistem "Bankom" Beograd. Kvalitet ove zamene za mleko bio je usaglašen sa savremenim normativima o potrebama teladi u hranljivim i drugim sastojcima. Bila je sačinjena na bazi najkvalitetnijih sirovina, pretežno domaćeg porekla (mleko u prahu, surutku u prahu, punomasno termički obrađeno brašno ljuštenog i genetski nemodifikovanog zrna soje, izolat proteina soje, kvasac, koncentrat masti, dekstroza, emulgator, mineralni dodaci, vitamini, antioksidant - BHT, aminokiseline, adsorbent toksina, aroma i drugi dodaci). Proizvodnja je obavljena na specijalizovanoj opremi. Sadržaj bakterija u uzorku bio je manji od 50.000 u gramu. Prisustvo gljivica, plesni i patogenih mikroorganizama nije utvrđeno. Zamena za mleko davana je teladima u količini od 6-7 L/dan, u dve jednake porcije (jutro i veče). Napajanje teladi tečnom hranom trajalo je do dva meseca uzrasta, odnosno kraja ogleda. Prosečan dnevni prirast teladi ogledne grupe napajane domaćom zamenom za mleko (526 g) bio je veći od prirasta teladi napajene uvoznom zamenom za mleko (479 g), pri čemu su utvrđene razlike bile statistički značajne (p lt 0,05). Zdravstvenih problema i uginuća teladi nije bilo, ni na jednom od ispitivanih tretmana.

Proizvodnja je obavljena na specijalizovanoj opremi. Sadržaj bakterija u uzorku bio je manji od 50.000 u gramu. Prisustvo gljivica, plesni i patogenih mikroorganizama nije utvrđeno. Zamena za mleko davana je teladima u količini od 6-7 L/dan, u dve jednake porcije (jutro i veče). Napajanje teladi tečnom hranom trajalo je do dva meseca uzrasta, odnosno kraja ogleda. Prosečan dnevni prirast teladi ogledne grupe napajane domaćom zamenom za mleko (526 g) bio je veći od prirasta teladi napajene uvoznom zamenom za mleko (479 g), pri čemu su utvrđene razlike bile statistički značajne (p lt 0,05). Zdravstvenih problema i uginuća teladi nije bilo, ni na jednom od ispitivanih tretmana.",

AB  - The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the effects of simultaneous using heat-treated corn grain as basic energy source and heat treated whole soybeans as protein source, in diet for calves 60-120 days old. The main predicted effects were improved energy and nutrients utilization efficiency and production performances of calves at this age. Thirty-six weaned Holstein calves were used, there were three treatments using different concentrates, formulated as: concentrate with micronized corn grain and extruded whole soybeans (KTT); concentrate with non-treated corn grain and soybean meal (KTN); concentrate with non-treated corn grain and extruded whole soybeans (KS). The marked effects of simultaneous use of heat-treated corn grain and whole soybeans were determined for feed efficiency (feed conversion ratio, FCR was 6,2% higher for calves on KTT than on KTN and 4,3% higher than on KS treatment). Efficiency of energy utilization (MJ ME/kg of gain) was better for calves on diet with KTT concentrate (5.8 % and 5.3% lower efficiency of metabolic energy utilization for KTN and KS treatment respectively). Consumed crude protein was better utilized for growth by calves on KTT diets, than other two treatments (10.8 % more CP/kg of growth for KTN, and 7.5% more for KS).
AB  - Cilj istraživanja je bio utvrđivanje značaja i uticaja istovremenog uključivanja termički tretitranog zrna kukuruza kao osnovnog izvora energije, i termički obrađenog zrna soje kao izvora proteina u koncentrat za telad uzrasta 60-120 dana, u pogledu povećanja efikasnosti iskorišćavanja energije i hranljivih materija, a koja bi se ogledala u poboljšanju osnovnih proizvodnih pokazatelja teladi u ovom uzrastu. Ogled je izveden sa 36 odlučenih teladi crnobele rase u tipu holštajna, telad su bila raspoređena u 3 grupe, a u ishrani su korišćene sledeće smeše: smeša sa mikroniziranim kukuruzom, i ekstrudiranom sojom (KTT);smeša sa neobrađenim kukuruzom i sojinom sačmom (KTN);smeša sa neobrađenim kukuruzom i ekstrudiranom sojom (KS).Utvrđen je značajan pozitivan uticaj istovremenog korišćenja termički obrađenog kukuruza i soje u koncentratu za odlučenu telad, na efikasnost iskorišćavanja: konzumirane hrane-manji utrošak SM hrane za kg prirasta teladi KTT grupe, za 6,2% u odnosu na telad KTN grupe, odnosno za 4,3% u odnosu na telad KS grupe; energije iz konzumirane hrane: manji utrošak ME za kg prirasta teladi KTT grupe, za 5,8% u odnosu na telad KTN grupe, i 5,3% u odnosu na KS grupu; konzumiranog sirovog proteina: telad KTN grupe su imala veći utrošak SP po kg ostvarenog prirasta za 10,8%, telad KS grupe za 7,5%, u odnosu na telad na KTT koncentratu.

AB  - In this paper an overview was given of feeding roe deer and red deer in different conditions. As herbivores and ruminants, these animals eat a large number of feeds, like pasture or browse, and feed selection depends mostly on season. Being selective grazers they obtain relatively high level of protein and low level of fiber in their diets. Additional feeding is required if high gain is wanted and better quality of trophy, which depends on the quality and quantity of available natural feeds and the season. Additional feeds can be hay, roots and tubers, silage, sugar beet pulp and brewers grains, and among concentrates cereal and legume grains including the feed mixes produced by feed mills. Farm production of red deer requires very intensive additional feeding because it is necessary to meet the nutritive requirements of animals.
AB  - U radu je dat pregled domaće i strane literature, koja se odnosi na ishranu srna i jelena u različitim uslovima. Kao herbivori i preživari, ove životinje u ishrani koriste veliki broj biljnih vrsta, u vidu paše ili brsta, a izbor hraniva zavisi od sezone. Selektivnim konzumiranjem postiže se veći nivo proteina i manji celuloze u obrocima. U cilju postizanja većih prirasta i boljeg kvaliteta trofeja neophodna je dopunska ishrana, koja u kvantitativnom i kvalitativnom smislu zavisi od raspoložive prirodne hrane i sezone. Za dopunsku ishranu koriste se seno, korenasto-krtolasta hraniva, silaža, repini rezanci i pivski treber, a od koncentrata zrnevlje žita i leguminoza, kao i industrijski proizvedene smeše koncentrata. Farmski uslovi gajenja jelena zahtevaju veoma intenzivnu dopunsku ishranu, uz poštovanje određenih preporuka.

AB  - In this paper a summary of domestic results was given about the use of additives based on zeolite in ensiling. Those additives decrease silage contamination with mycotoxins, adsorb part of the ammonia produced and intensify lactic acid fermentation. The positive influence of additives based on zeolite is occurring when material with large quantities of fermentable sugars is used, while its efficiency in lucerne ensiling depends on usage of high doses of zeolite.
AB  - U radu je dat pregled domaćih rezultata u vezi korišćenja dodataka na bazi zeolita pri siliranju. Ovakvi dodaci smanjuju kontaminiranost silirane hrane mikotoksinima, adsorbuju deo nagrađenog amonijaka i intenziviraju mlečnokiselinsko vrenje. Pozitivan uticaj dodataka na bazi zeolita ispoljava se pri siliranju materijala sa velikom količinom fermentabilnih šećera, dok je njegova efikasnost pri siliranju lucerke uslovljena korišćenjem znatno većih doza.

AB  - This paper gives the overview of the trend of production of conserved feeds in the world, chemical composition of silages from domestic investigations and summary of works that covered the field of different silage usage, single or combined, in cow rations. AB  - Milk yield and content of main milk components are dominantly genetically determined characteristics. This fact must be considered while searching for possibilities for improving milk yield, dry matter, fat and protein. The effect of nutrition on milk yield and content of milk components is very significant. Cows with the genetic potential for production over 6 000 kg of milk in lactation show even more significant impact of this effect. Such genetic potential creates new requirements in nutrition of cows; increased feedstuff quality, inclusion of feedstuff rich in energy and protein addition of minerals, vitamins and other supplements if necessary. Application of proper herd management and working processes on the farm modern technological and technical milking solutions, housing conditions of the cows, also have effect on the milk yield and content of some milk components, mainly dry matter, fat, and partially protein. Usage of cottonseed in nutrition of cows, in amount of 1,5 kg/day contribute to the enhancement of milk production, dry matter, fat and protein in milk. For this reason, especially in nutrition of highyielding cows, use of cottonseed is justified.The limiting factor for use of cottonseed can be disorder of cereal and oilseed meal or cottonseed price parity. Use of minerals with buffer characteristics, based on natural raw minerals, with various and complementary physical and chemical characteristics, has a positive effect on enhancement of milk production, dry matter and fat content in milk. Protein content is slightly changed. Therefore, buffer supplementation especially in stressing conditions of nutrition of highyielding cows, can be fully justified.
AB  - U radu se analiziraju faktori koji mogu da utiču na promenu sadržaja važnijih sastojaka mleka i prezentiraju najnoviji rezultati istraživanja o mogućnostima njihovog očuvanja. Posebna pažnja posvećena je, pored genetskih, grupi paragenetskih faktora koji se odnose na normative o potrebama grla u hranljivim materijama, kvalitetu i osobinama pojedinih hraniva i dodataka obrocima. Skrenuta je pažnja i na značaj primene odgovarajuće tehnike hranjenja krava. Izneseni su rezultati prema kojima dodatak 1,5 kg zrna pamuka u obrok krava, odnosno 3–4% mineralne predsmeše (na bazi bentonita, organozeolita, sode bikarbone i magnezijum oksida) u superkoncentrat za krave (30% ukupnih proteina) utiče na povećanje mlečne masti za 0,1–0,2 procenat poena uz adekvatno povećanje sadržaja suve materije i neznatno povećanje sadržaja proteina u mleku.

AB  - The results of the investigation of cottonseed utilization efficiency in lactating cows nutrition are presented in this paper. Experiment was conducted on 20 cows (divided in two groups) in Holstein breed type. Rations contained similar amount of energy and protein. Dry matter content of control group ration composed of alfalfa, wheat straw, concentrate, brewers' grains and soybean meal was 32,37:3,87:14,84:9,89:34,03 i 4,13% respectively. The experimental group was fed with ration where 2,2 kg of concentrate dry matter was replaced with 1,84 kg of cottonseed and 0,36 kg of soybean meal dry matter. Protein percent in dry matter was 16,53 and 16,92%, and energy 6,54 and 6,66 MJ NEL/kg. Cottonseed addition had positive effects on milk (29,47:31,05 kg) and 4% FCM production (26,55:29,51 kg) milk fat content increased from 3,34 to 3,67%, and protein from 2,80 to 2,95 % (p>0.05). Dry matter intake per kg of produced milk in experimental group was lower by 6,66%, and 11,90 % for fat corrected milk, which reduced rate of nutrition costs in milk price by 4,48 percentage points.
AB  - U radu su prikazani rezultati istraživanja efikasnosti korišćenja zrna pamuka u ishrani krava u laktaciji. Istraživanje je izvedeno na dvadeset krava (podeljenih u dve grupe po 10) crno bele rase u tipu holštajna. Obroci su sadržavali približno istovetnu količinu energije i proteina. Kontrolna grupa hranjena je obrokom u kojem je udeo SM iz zelene lucerke, pšenične slame koncentrata, sirovog pivskog tropa i sojine sačme iznosio 32,37:3,87:14,84:9,89:34,03 i 4,13%. U obroku II grupe krava 2,2 kg SM iz koncentrata bilo je zamenjeno sa 1,84 kg SM iz zrna pamuka, i 0,36 kg SM iz sačma soje. Udeo proteina u SM ispitivanih obroka iznosio je 16,53 i 16,92% a energije 6,54 i 6,66 NEL/kg. Uključivanje zrna pamuka u obrok krava pozitivno je uticalo na produkciju namuženog (29,47:31,05 kg) i na mast (4% mm) korigovanog mleka (26,55:29,51 kg), i povećanje masti, sa 3,34 na 3,67%, odnosno, proteina, sa 2,80 na 2,95 % (p>0.05). Utrošak suve materije obroka za kg mleka u krava koje su dobijale pamuk bio je manji za 6,66,% za namuženo odnosno 11,90 % za mast korigovano mleko, što se odrazilo na smanjeno učešće troškova ishrane u ceni mleka, za 4,48 procenat poena.

AB  - The goal of this paper is to present the new recommendations for calf feeding, published by National Research Council (2001) as the seventh revised edition. In the new edition requirements for some nutrients, and values of energy content for maintance and growth in calves fed milk and milk repalcer are corrected. Protein requirements for calves weighing up to 100 kg, are defined more accurately. Corrections and amendments of some previously undefined questions and problems in calf nutrition in new edition are made, regarding the new knowledge and research results.
AB  - U ovom radu predstavljeni su novi normativi za ishranu teladi koje je publikovao National Research Council 2001. godine, kao sedmo dopunjeno izdanje. Novo izdanje donosi korekcije u potrebama pojedinih hranljivih materija, vrednosti sadržaja neto energije za održanje uzdržnih potreba i prirast kod teladi hranjen mlekom ili zamenom za mleko, i preciznije su definisane potrebe u proteinima za telad do 100 kg telesne mase u odnosu na izdanje iz 1989. godine. U novom izdanju izvršene su ispravke i dopune nedorečenih pitanja i problema u ishrani teladi, a u skladu sa novim saznanjima i rezultatima.

AB  - The trial was conducted on three groups of Frisian calves to investigate the usefulness of milk replacers. Experiment lasted 30 days. The control group received full-fat milk, the first experimental group received domestic milk replacer and the second experimental group received imported milk replacer. All groups were fed ad lib with concentrate mixture with 18% crude protein lucerne hay and water. During the experimental period the biggest growth and the best feed conversion ratio was achieved in the calves in control group which received cow's milk. Calves that received domestic milk replaced had intermediate result while the calves that received imported milk replacer had the lowest performances.
AB  - Ispitivanje efikasnosti korišćenja zamena za mleko u ishrani teladi, u tečnom periodu ishrane (0-60 dana uzrasta), izvedeno je na 30 teladi crno-bele rase, u tipu holštajna, podeljenih u tri grupe po 10 grla. Kontrolna grupa (K) je napajana punomasnim mlekom, prva ogledna grupa (A) zamenom za mleko domaće proizvodnje a druga ogledna grupa (B) zamenom iz uvoza. Koncentracija suve materije u zamenama za mleko iznosila je 12,5% i davana je teladima u količini od 6 lit/dan. Sve tri grupe dobijale su po volji koncentrat (17% ukupnih proteina), seno lucerke i vodu. U periodu napajanja, najveći dnevni prirast (547g) ostvarila su telad K grupe, koji je za 112g ili 25,75% bio veći od prirasta A grupe (435g) a za 124g ili 29,31% od prirasta B grupe (423g). Utvrđene razlike u prirastu bile su statistički značajne (p lt 0.05) Iskorišćavanje hrane bilo je najbolje u teladi napajane kravljim mlekom. Telad napajana domaćom zamenom za mleko imala su intermedijarnu vrednost iskorišćavanja hrane (između K i B grupe teladi).

abstract = "The trial was conducted on three groups of Frisian calves to investigate the usefulness of milk replacers. Experiment lasted 30 days. The control group received full-fat milk, the first experimental group received domestic milk replacer and the second experimental group received imported milk replacer. All groups were fed ad lib with concentrate mixture with 18% crude protein lucerne hay and water. During the experimental period the biggest growth and the best feed conversion ratio was achieved in the calves in control group which received cow's milk. Calves that received domestic milk replaced had intermediate result while the calves that received imported milk replacer had the lowest performances., Ispitivanje efikasnosti korišćenja zamena za mleko u ishrani teladi, u tečnom periodu ishrane (0-60 dana uzrasta), izvedeno je na 30 teladi crno-bele rase, u tipu holštajna, podeljenih u tri grupe po 10 grla. Kontrolna grupa (K) je napajana punomasnim mlekom, prva ogledna grupa (A) zamenom za mleko domaće proizvodnje a druga ogledna grupa (B) zamenom iz uvoza. Koncentracija suve materije u zamenama za mleko iznosila je 12,5% i davana je teladima u količini od 6 lit/dan. Sve tri grupe dobijale su po volji koncentrat (17% ukupnih proteina), seno lucerke i vodu.
