AB  - Buckwheat is an economically important gluten free cereal, and it is a good source of protein, fiber, and energy. The field experiments with buckwheat variety “Novosadska” were set in two experimental years in Pancevo, Serbia. The aim of this study was to determine the most optimal technology for buckwheat production. The study aims were to investigate the effects of (1) row spacing: RS1-25 cm and RS2-50 cm; (2) nutrition variants: (N1) 0 kg ha−1 NPK; (N2) NPK 30 kg ha−1; (N3) NPK 60 kg ha−1; and (N4) NPK 90 kg ha−1; (3) environment: Y1-2018 and Y2-2019; and their interactions on the plant height (PH), number of lateral branches (NoLB), mass of seeds per plant (MSP), number of seeds per plant (NoSP), buckwheat grain yield (GY); and (4) the correlations among these traits. All tested parameters of buckwheat significantly varied across row spacing, environment, and nutrition. The average grain yield in the row spacing, RD1-25 cm, was significantly higher than in the wider spacing, RD2-50 cm, and in 2018 than 2019 as well as with the nutrition NPK applied in the amount of 90 kg ha−1 in relation with all the other nutrition variants. All the studied agronomic traits were positively and strongly correlated with GY.

AB  - The influence of sowing method, growth regulator and harvest method on alfalfa seed yield was examined in three years (2015-2017), in locality near Belgrade, with using alfalfa variety NS Banat ZMS II. Research showed the statistically very significant effect of sowing method on seed yield, and the best average way for all three years period was 60 cm between rows of sowed seed. The growth regulator proved to be effective only in the rainy year, while harvesting crops previously treated with desiccant proved to beuseful, with the exception in the year of establishment when this difference was not statistically significant. Meteorological conditions had the highest influence on the seed yield, amount of precipitation in the vegetation period mostly, and the researched factors have proved to be useful in suppressing the consequences of poor weather. In years suitable for seed production, the recommendation for the production practice is an intermediate distance of 60 cm and the use of a desiccant.

AB  - Phleum pratense (L.) is the important forage grass species in Serbia. The study was conducted on 20 autochthonous population of Phleum pratense (L.), originating from Western Serbia. Plant height, protein content and crude cellulose content had a high direct impact on yield. Populations of PP16, PP20, PP2 and PP9 had the significantly higher yield of the raw matter compared to all the tested population and the highest values for the other evaluated parameters, also. The average yield of crude biomass was positive statistically highly significantly correlated with plant height (r=0.87**), and positively significantly correlated with a content of crude proteins and positive non significant correlated with crude cellulose (r=0.42 ). Based on obtained values and by the appropriate choice of selection methods, we conclude that we have excellent genotypes, PP16, PP20, PP2 and PP9 for a successful selection process in order to obtain new high yielding varieties of Phleum pratense.

AB  - The aim of soybean production is to achieve high and stable yields of good quality per unit area. An important role in high yields achieving has a proper arrangement of plants. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of row spacing and variety on increase of dry mass per unit time and the productivity of soybean. The paper analyzes three soybean cultivars and three row spacing. The analysis of the results showed a higher number of leaves in favorable weather conditions of second investigated year, to an average of row spacing included studies, and by varieties, which caused the development of a greater leaf area and thus directly and higher grain yield of soybean. In the first, dry year, in average for row spacing, the highest number of leaves had the seed formation stage (R5) cultivars Bosa and the Balkans in the fourth measurement, 18.0 and 18.7, respectively in the fifth measurement variety Dragana, 23.6. On average for the varieties included in the study, the largest number of leaves was in the fifth measurement (20.8) and in the square sowing (20 cm between rows). In the cultivars, largest number of leaves was observed in sowing in narrow rows (20 cm). Relative growth rate (RGR) is one of the most important parameters of the analysis of growth and represents a relative increase of dry mass per unit time. In the first, dry year the highest value of RGR were established in the first two intervals and amounted to 0.07 and 0.05 g/day. The largest soybean grain yield (4868 kg ha-1) was achieved at the narrow row sowing (at 20cm). Yields were decreased with increasing distance between the rows to 45 cm and 70 cm.
AB  - Cilj proizvodnje soje je ostvarenje visokih i stabilnih prinosa po jedinici površine kvalitetnog zrna. Značajnu ulogu u ostvarenju visokih prinosa ima i pravilan raspored biljaka. Cilj ovog rada je da se ispita uticaj međurednog rastojanja i sorte na povećanje suve mase u jedinici vremena i na produktivnost soje. U radu su analizirane, tri sorte soje i tri međuredna rastojanja. Analizom dobijenih rezultata utvrđen je veći broj listova u meteorološki povoljnijoj drugoj istraživanoj godini, kako u proseku za međuredna rastojanja obuhvaćena istraživanjima, tako i po sortama, što je uslovilo razvoj veće lisne površine a time neposredno i veći prinos zrna soje. U prvoj, sušnoj godini, u proseku za međuredna rastojanja, najveći broj listova imale su, u fazi formiranja semena (R5), sorte Bosa i Balkan u četvrtom merenju, 18,0 i 18,7, odnosno u petom merenju sorta Dragana, 23,6. U proseku za sorte obuhvaćene istraživanjima, najveći broj listova bio je u petom merenju (20,8) i to pri kvadratnoj setvi (20 cm između redova). Kod ispitivanih sorti najveći broj listova utvrđen kod uskoredne setve, 20 cm. AB  - Variability of Miscanthus morphological traits were the subject of two-year study (2010 and 2011). Plant height, stem number and number of developed leaves per plant was studied in dependence of the applied rhizomes planting density (2 and 3 per m(2)), as well as of applied nitrogen amount used for supplemental plant nutrition. The results showed that planting density had an impact on the investigated morphological characteristics of Miscanthus, while the affect of nitrogen was dependent on the weather conditions and distribution of rainfall, and was stronger during the first year at a maximum rate of this nutrient. In the second year, rhizomes planting density showed a stronger effect on the number of developed leaves per plant. Variation in number of stems per rhizome was evident in the planting year or in the second year, as well as among treatments. The number of leaves was increased by increasing nitrogen amounts, so in both years it was the largest at the maximum applied nitrogen amount of 100 kg ha(-1). Plant height, stem number and number of developed leaves per plant was studied in dependence of the applied rhizomes planting density (2 and 3 per m(2)), as well as of applied nitrogen amount used for supplemental plant nutrition. AB  - Istraživanja u organskom sistemu gajenja sprovedena su na parcelama Instituta za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo u Bačkom Petrovcu (φN 45°20’, λE 19°40’, m.s.l. 89), tokom 2013. godine. Analiza prosečnih prinosa pokazala je da je sorta heljde Novosadska, u varijanti prihrane, ostvarila viši prinos u odnosu na kontrolnu varijanu. Prosečni prinosi zrna heljde za sortu Novosadska iznosili su 2.296 kg ha-1 U varijanti sa prihranom prinosi su bili viši za 141 kg odnosno za 6,34 % u odnosu na kontrolnu varijantu. Prosečna masa biljke iznosila je 32,30 g, visina biljke 175 cm a prosečna visina prve bočne grane iznosila je 16,61 cm. U kontrolnoj varijanti biljke su imale statistički značajno višu visinu prve bočne grane u odnosu na varijantu sa prihranom, p  lt 0.05. U varijanti sa prihranom masa biljke bila je viša u odnosu na kontrolnu varijantu.

AB  - In this paper, the grain yield of maize commercial hybrids developed at the Institute PKB Agroekonomik. The tested hybrids from different maturity groups from FAO 200 to FAO 700th. Hybrids have been tested through a network makrodemonstracionih reflected in eight locations. In conditions of extremely dry periods followed by high air temperatures, what conditions were like in 2012. year, hybrids PKB Agroekonimik expressed a high degree of tolerance to drought stress factor at several sites in terms of production without irrigation. Domestic hybrids were created classical breeding methods in long-term multi-year test to stress factors. Results achieved in some localities justify route selection to preserve genetic biodiversity and its use in hybrids in extremely difficult conditions for maize production. Proper selection of hybrids for the production of a certain area represents 50% of good preconditions for achieving maximum yields, while the other 50% is done properly and timely cultural operations used.
AB  - U radu je analiziran prinos zrna kukuruza komercijalnih hibrida stvorenih u Institutu PKB Agroekonomik. Ispitivani hibridi kukuruza pripadaju različitim grupama zrenja od FAO 200 do FAO 700. Hibridi kukuruza testirani su kroz mrežu makrodemonstracionih ogleda na osam lokaliteta. U uslovima izuzetno sušnog perioda praćenog visokim temperaturama vazduha, kakvi su bili uslovi tokom 2012. godine, hibridi kukuruza Instituta PKB Agroekonimik iskazali su visok stepen tolerantnosti na stresni faktor suše na nekoliko lokaliteta u uslovima proizvodnje bez navodnjavanja. Domaći hibridi stvoreni su klasičnim metodama selekcije u dugotrajnom višegodišnjem testiranju na stresne faktore. Rezultati ostvareni na pojedinim lokalitetima opravdavaju pravac selekcije u cilju očuvanja genetičkog biodiverziteta i njegovog korišćenja kroz stvorene hibride u uslovima izuzetno otežanim za proizvodnju kukuruza. Pravilan izbor hibrida za proizvodnju u određenom rejonu predstavlja 50% dobrog preduslova za ostvarivanje maksimalnih prinosa dok ostalih 50% pripada pravilno izvedenim i blagovremeno primenjenim agrotehničkim merama.

AB  - Wheat was in the past, is at present and will surely be in the future, basic and vital element of the daily diet of humans and animals. The world market, and more and we do have expressed the desire and request of sorts, which in addition to high and stable yields with good quality parameters and flour. Cultivars with the most stable yield and good quality grain were varieties Talas and Pobeda. These varieties are high in quality protein and by analogy, this is a high gluten content and quality, as confirmed by rheological measurements. High yields of tested wheat varieties are the result of the interaction of genetic potential of the tested wheat varieties and application of good management systems in circumstances where the distribution of rainfall during the growing seasons, from the time of sowing and harvest was not favorable to the production of wheat. After testing cultivars, Talas and Pobeda are classified in A2 quality group, group of cultivars for quality flour and bread, and as such also belong to the group of improvers. Varieties Merkur, Ratarica and Esperia are classified as B1 group, group of cultivars good for bread. Cultivars NS 40 S and Balaton are classified as B2 quality group. The cultivar with the lowest quality is sorta Apach and classified in the C1 group of quality, which means that millers and bakers must mix flour with a variety of cultivars of flour improver, to obtain good quality bread.
AB  - Pšenica je bila u prošlosti, jeste u sadašnjosti a sigurno će biti i u budućnosti bazna komponenta svakodnevne ishrane ljudi i životinja. Sada i kod nas, kao i u svetu, sve više se javlja tražnja za sortama koje pored visokog prinosa zrna, imaju i dobar kvalitet brašna. Sorte domaće selekcije Talas i Pobeda, stabilnog prinosa i dobrog kvaliteta, i u ogledima su potvrdile svoje osobine. Ove sorte imaju i visok sadržaj kvalitetnih proteina, a analogno ovome je i visok sadržaj glutena ali i kvalitet, što su potvrdila reološka merenja. Visoki prinosi ispitivanih sorata pšenice jesu rezultat interakcije genetičkog potencijala i primene dobre agrotehnike u uslovima kada raspored padavina u toku vegetacione sezone, od momenta setve do momenta žetve, nije pogodovao proizvodnji pšenice. Nakon obavljenih ispitivanja i ove godine sorte Talas i Pobeda svrstane su u A2 kvalitetnu grupu, odnosno to su sorte dobrog kvaliteta brašna i hleba i kao takve spadaju i u grupu poboljšivača. AB  - Last year (2012) will be marked as one of the worst in the History of Agriculture in Republic of Serbia. Heat and drought affected low quantity and quality of forage. In the same year we had lack of hay and maize silage. According weather forecast and anti­cipated climatic changes in the future, farmers need to found new ways to provide forage, especially in the "no irrigation" plant farming. In that way, ensiling of whole-crop cereals could be one of the solutions, because of theirs nutritive values, yields and all risks of heat and drought from planting to harvesting.
AB  - Protekla 2012. god. u istoriji poljoprivredne proizvodnje u Srbiji biće označena kao jedna od najnepovoljnijih, posebno kada je u pitanju količina i kvalitet kabaste stočne hrane za ishranu preživara, naročito mlečnih krava (nedostatak i slab kvalitet sena i silaža kukuruza). Sa postojećim klimatskim predviđanjima u budućnosti se može očekivati nedostatak kabaste stočne hrane u uslovima "suvog" ratarenja. Jedno od mogućih rešenja je korišćenje strnih žita za pripremanje silaža i sena, kako zbog svojih nutritivnih vrednosti, tako i zbog prinosa i smanjenih rizika od suše i visokih temperatura.

AB  - In hybrid maize seed processing, due to variable and different agro ecological conditions in production, exist a problem of seed shape and size. Seed of different shape and size, beside physiological traits cause a problem in practice as planting material. First process to achieve planting value is to divide seed to different fractions of shape and size. In this paper, two single cross hybrids from Maize Research Institute Zemun Polje. have been studied. Seed was produced in two different locations. For each hybrid combination, two seed fractions were obtained for shape and three for size. For each hybrid combination and location, six different seed sizes were obtained. For each seed size, from hybrid combination and location, following seed characteristics were study: 1000 kernels weight, seed germination, kernel number per kilogram, kernel number and weigh by liter. Experimental data were calculated to total variability by factorial analysis of variance and correlation. Results shows similarity and differences in seed traits by seed size, location and hybrid combination. Of high significance are differences for kernel number per kilogram, kernel number and weight by liter. These results are of practical significance for hybrid maize seed processing.
AB  - U doradi hibridnog semena kukuruza, usled promenljivih i sasvim različitih agroekoloških uslova u semenskom usevu, pojavljuje se seme različitog oblika i veličine. Seme različitog oblika i veličene pokazuje i različite fiziološke osobine tako da nastaju brojni problem u primeni takvog setvenog materijala. Stoga je prvi postupak u doradi setvene vrednosti semena kalibriranje na frakcije različitog oblika i veličine. U radu su izvršena istraživanja sa hibridnim semenom dve SC kombinacije stvarane u Institutu za kukuruz "Zemun Polje". Seme je proizvedeno na po dve lokacije. Za svaku hibridnu kombinaciju izdvojene su dve frakcije oblika i tri veličine. Frakcije semena izdvajane su naizmeničnim kombinovanjem cilindričnih rešeta sa pravougaonim i okruglim otvorima. Za svaku hibridnu kombinaciju i lokaciju izdvojeno je šest rangova semena. Ispitivane su sledeće osobine hibridnog semena: masa 1000 semena, klijavost semena, broj semena u kg, broj i masa semena u litri. Eksperimentalni podaci obrađeni su na ukupnu varijabilnost. Rezultati pokazuju sličnost i razlike u ispoljavanju osobina hibridnog semena kukuruza u odnosu na frakciju, lokaciju proizvodnje i hibridnu kombinaciju. Posebno su od značaja razlike za broj semena u kg, broj i masa semena u litri. Ovi rezultati magu se primeniti za unapredjenje procesa dorade semena kukuruza.

AB  - Wheat was in the past, is at present and will surely be in the future, basic and vital element of the daily diet of humans and animals. The world market, and more and we do have expressed the desire and request of sorts, which in addition to high and stable yields with good quality parameters and flour. Cultivar with the most stable yield and good quality grain varieties Talas and Pobeda. These varieties are high in quality protein and by analogy, this is a high gluten content and quality, as confirmed by rheological measurements. High yields of tested wheat varieties are the result of the interaction of genetic potential of the tested wheat varieties and application of good management systems in circumstances where the distribution of rainfall during the growing seasons, from the time of sowing and harvest was favorable to the production of wheat. After a Talas of testing cultivars and classified Pobeda in A2 quality group, and to the cultivar of good quality flour and bread, and as such belong to the group of improvers. Varieties Merkur, the Carica and Ratarica are classified as B1 that is a quality group. they are good cultivars of bread. cultivars NS 40S and Balaton are classified as B2 quality group. The cultivars with the lowest quality is sort Apach and classified in the C1 group of quality, which means that millers and bakers have flour mixed with a variety of cultivars of flour improver, to obtain good quality bread.
AB  - Pšenica, je bila u prošlosti, jeste u sadašnjosti a sigurno će biti i u budućnosti bazni i vitalni element svakodnevne ishrane ljudi i životinja. Na svetskom tržištu, a sve više i kod nas postoji izražena težnja i traženost sorti, koje pored visokog i stabilnog prinosa imaju i dobre parametre kvaliteta brašna. Sorte sa najstabilnijim prinosom i dobrim kvalitetom zrna su sorte Talas i Pobeda. Ove sorte imaju visok sadržaj kvalitetnih proteina a analogno ovome je i visok sadržaj glutena ali i kvalitet, što su potvrdila reološka merenja. Visoki prinosi ispitivanih sorata pšenice jesu rezultat interakcije genetičkog potencijala ispitivanih sorata pšenice i primena dobre agrotehnike u uslovima kada je raspored padavina u toku vegetacione sezone, od momenta setve, pa do žetve pogodovao proizvodnji pšenice. Nakon ispitivanja sorte Talas i Pobeda svrstane u A2 kvalitetnu grupu, odnosno to su sorte dobrog kvaliteta brašna i hleba i kao takve spadaju u grupu poboljšivača. Sorte Merkur, Carica i Ratarica svrstane su u B1 kvalitetnu grupu tj. one su dobre hlebne sorte. Sorte NS 40S i Balaton svrstane su u B2 kvalitetnu grupu. Sorta sa najlošijim kvalitetom je sorta Apač i svrstana je u C1 kvalitetnu grupu što znači da mlinari i pekari moraju brašno ove sorte mešati sa brašnom sorata poboljšivača, da bi se dobio kvalitetan hleb.
