The changes in the socioeconomic and property structure of agricultural holdings in Central Serbia
Promene u socioekonomskoj i posedovnoj strukturi zemljoradničkih gazdinstava u centralnoj Srbiji
Апстракт
The process of farm polarization has been noted in the economically more advanced regions. On the other hand, underdeveloped regions have had an increase in the number of mid-sized farms. It is important to figure out that there have been changes in the property structure of agricultural holdings on the territory of central Serbia as a result of certain modifications in the operation of economic laws, market and price structure. The broad trend outlined above also reflects other socioeconomic changes that are part of the development process, including demographic changes. Namely, the number of total and agricultural population has significantly been lowered owing to the process of deagrarization and the fact that agriculture has completely been abandoned in central Serbia. This has had its impact on the changes of labor availability, especially on the number of active agricultural population. Total and agricultural population decreased during the period 1960-1991. It must be observed t...hat there is a decrease in the number of agricultural holdings. At the same time, there is an increase in the number of mixed and non-agricultural holdings.
Pod uticajem privrednog razvoja i procesa deagrarizacije odvijaju se značajne promene u agrarnoj strukturi zemljoradničkih gazdinstava Centralne Srbije. Nastale promene treba tretirati kao specifičnu ekonomsku zakonitost širih procesa koncentracije i centralizacije kapitala i drugih faktora proizvodnje posebno naučno-tehničkog progresa.
