This study is an attempt to determine the changes in the size of the production units of the social sector agriculture. At the same time it points to its changing tendencies under the influence of integration processes. Integration processes in agriculture have had an uneven trend and are insufficiently connected to other activities. Disconnected trends of horizontal and vertical Integration are the result of an insufficient influence of the market on the role and independence of the economic subjects. Government measures have often been the only criterion for integration hindering thereby the development of production forces and labor productivity increase. As a result of the integration processes in agriculture certain tendencies of optimizing production units with respect to the production factors have been noted In the trial period (1970-1990) a significant increase of the organic content of the capital, production and income increase per worker and unit of land area utilized has b...een registered in the case of a number of economic subjects.
