Influence of hunting districts on variability of trophy value of roe deer - Capreolus capreolus l

Abstract

To analyze variability of trophy value of roe deer (Capreolus capreolus L) data on 2339 trophies classified in three kinds of hunting districts (flat surface, hilly and mountain area) were used. Influence of the hunting area on the individual parameters of trophies estimates are mostly expressed in weight, colors and pearling of antlers. The weight of antlers shows much more variability then the length of antlers, while the most expressed variability was in the subjective classification of the trophy.

Analiza varijabilnosti trofeja srndaća (Capreolus capreolus L), obavljena je na 2339 trofeja, razvrstanih u tri tipa lovišta (ravničarski brdski i planinski). Uticaj tipa lovišta na pojedine parametre ocene trofeja, no/vise se ispoljavaju na masi rogovlja, boji i iskričavosti parogova. Masa rogovlja ispoljava veću varijabilnost od dužine parogova, dok najveću varijabilnost ispoljavaju subjektivne mere ocene trofeja.
