Application of slow disintegrating fertilizers in the production of medicinal, aromatic and seasoning herbs seedlings

Abstract

The paper presents the review of several years of research of the use of slow decomposing fertilizer Scotts (Osmocote Exact) in the production of medicinal, aromatic and seasoning herbs seedlings. Basil, garden balm, lavender, sage, thyme, oregano, spearmint, echinacea, rosemary, pyrethrum and hyssop seedlings have been produced in containers (speedling system) and in pots (pot system) with the use of different doses of slow decomposing fertilizer. The obtained research results point to significant effect of slow decomposing fertilizer in the production of medicinal, aromatic and seasoning herbs. The use of slow decomposing fertilizer in the production of medicinal, aromatic and seasoning herbs seedlings represents a new technological solution.

U radu je dat pregled rezultata višegodišnjih istraživanja primene spororazlagajućeg đubriva Scotts (Osmocote Exact) u proizvodnji rasada lekovitog, aromatičnog i začinskog bilja. Rasad bosiljka, matičnjaka, ehinacee, ruzmarina, miloduha, žalfije, timjana, origana, spearmint nane i buhača proizveden je u kontejnerima (speedling system) i u saksijama (pot system). Dobijeni rezultati istraživanja ukazuju na značajan efekat primene spororazlagajućeg đubriva u proizvodnji rasada lekovitog, aromatičnog i začinskog bilja. Upotreba sprororazlagajućeg đubriva u proizvodnji rasada lekovitog, aromatičnog i začinskog bilja predstavlja novo tehnološko rešenje.
