Abstract
Correlation among traits depends on genotype and effects of environmental conditions. The most important aim in breeding of organisms is to improve the genotype. Therefore, it is necessary to establish the rate of influence of genotype on correlations. In this paper the method for calculating genetic and phenotypic correlations is presented. Genetic correlations show interrelationship among traits after elimination of variations due to environment factors. Genetic correlations are the base for efficient application of selection on the genotype level.
