Selection of vineyard peach types for stone consumption and processing
Selekcija tipova vinogradske breskve za stonu potrošnju i preradu

Vineyard peach population in Serbia has a great genetic variability of types with different using values. Although vineyard peach selection programs in our country are very intensive, there are no any recognized and purebred trees of vineyard peach used for different purposes. The aim of this paper was to investigate major biological and pomological characteristics in twenty vineyard peach types, collected at the experimental field "Radmilovac" at the Agricultural Faculty in Belgrade, in order to select the best ones for stone consumption and processing. Examined types showed great variability with regard to investigated characteristics. Based on fruit weight and fruit attractiveness, taste and harmonic relation of sugar and acid content, the most promising types for stone consumption are I/1, I/5 II/17, II/19 and XIX/15. Types I/8, I/12, II/8, II/14, XIX/28 and XIX/30 which have a high soluble solid content, satisfactory yield and good quality of compote and juice, can be recommended ...for different aspects of processing.
U ovom radu proučavane su važnije biološko-pomološke osobine kod 20 tipova vinogradske breskve, kolekcionisanih na Oglednom dobru "Radmilovac" Poljoprivrednog fakulteta u Beogradu, kako bi se odabrali nabolji za potrošnju u svežem stanju i preradu. Proučavani tipovi pokazali su veliku varijabilnost u pogledu ispitivanih osobina. Na osnovu mase i atraktivnosti ploda, ukusa i skladnog odnosa šećera i kiselina kao najperspektivniji za potrošnju u svežem stanju mogu se preporučiti tipovi sa oznakama I/1, I/5 II/17, II/19 i XIX/15. Tipovi I/8, I/12, II/8, II/14, XIX/28 i XIX/30 koji imaju visok sadržaj rastvorljivih suvih materija, zadovoljavajući prinos i dobar kvalitet kompota i soka mogu se preporučiti za razne vidove prerade.
