Abstract
The phenophase of flowering in 42 apricot cultivars at the Experimental estate 'Radmilovac' of the Faculty of Agriculture in Belgrade during the period often years (1995-2004) was studied. The average time of bloom in this region was in the third decade of March, and the average dates for all cultivars were: the flowering onset on the 22th of March, full bloom on the 25th of March and the end of bloom on the 1st of April. The amplitude of the earliest and the latest flowering onset between years ranged from 47 to 51 days and was about 4 to 5 times higher then the amplitude between cultivars (5-19 days). Duration of bloom was 10.2 days in average, with the variation from 9.1 days in cv Carola to 11.9 days in cv Precoce de Tyrinthe. In years, duration of bloom of the individual cultivars varied from 5 to 17 days. The marks of flowering intensity ranged from 6.0 in cv Cacak's Flat to 8.4 in cv Jubilejniy, and they decrease with the age of trees. On the basis of the period of the flowering... onset, studied cultivars have been divided into four groups: early (4 cvs), mid-early (14 cvs), mid-late (21 cvs) and late (3 cvs). The influence of ecological factors (primarily temperature) on flowering is bigger than that of genetic characteristics of cultivars.
