AB - Fattening of broiler chickens is a very specific production process characterized by intensive production principles, rapid increase in broilers, small consumption of food/kg of gain (feed conversion ratio) and a large production of broilers' meat per square meter of surface. In order to increase the profitability of this production, the intention of farmers is to reduce the duration of production as well as to increase population density, with the aim of increasing the production of broiler chickens' meat, calculated per unit of surface (m(2)). However, most of the countries in the world, in order to protect and preserve the welfare of poultry, limit the maximum of broilers' meat production by regulations and standards. These researches aim to determine the optimal density and duration of fattening in a way to achieve the best production results and the profitability of fattening the broiler chickens hybrids Cobb 500 in temperate continental climate, while preserving the welfare of poultry. From six different population densities (16.84, 16.33, 14.29, 12.75, 14.80 and 15.46 birds per m(2)) and fattening period between 37 and 40 days, the best production and economic performance showed that a group of chickens that was fattened in a period of 40 days had a population density of about 16 birds per m(2). This group of broilers produced the most meat per m(2) (about 33 kg), the welfare of poultry is maintained and the standard was not exceeded, so we can say that the best economy and profitability of fattening broiler chickens in the concerned region is achieved. In other groups of chickens, profitability could be more advantageous if the increased population density goes up to 16 birds per m(2); or the duration of fattening could be extended up to 40 days and by this way the welfare of poultry would not be violated.

AB - These investigations were intended to identify the influence of parental flock age at heavy hybrid Ross 308 (usage period) on more important reproductive capabilities (carrying eggs intensity of brood eggs, egg mass, one day old chick mass, relative chick mass share in complete egg mass) and consumption of food per processed - hatched chicken (final product of production cycle). Flock usage period lasted for 40 weeks (all eggs), respectively, 38 (brood eggs) weeks and there was possibility, based on achieved results, with evaluation of phenotype correlation, to get some concrete conclusions about the age influence on analyzed parameters during mentioned flock rising period. Phenotype correlation among investigated characteristics has been identified since second half of parental flock using period, since 41(st) week age (20(th) carrying eggs week) up to the end of production process when parental flock was 61 week old (41(st) egg production week). Flock age has statistically important positive (P lt 0.05) influence on carrying eggs intensity of brood eggs until 49(st) week (r(p) = 0.391) and on percentage of chicken feasibility regard the complete number of inputted eggs until 50(th) week (r(p) = 0.434). There was statistically significantly increasing of egg mass and one-day old incubated chicken mass (P lt 0.001) as parental flock was older. Complete correlation connectivity has been identified between egg mass and absolute chick mass (P lt 0.001), while very strong (P lt 0.001) or strong (P lt 0.01) correlative connectivity between egg mass and relative chick share [(chicken mass/egg mass) x 100]. Further more, we determined negative correlation between eggs age and food consumption per hatched chicken for all time of breeding broiler parents, except 61(st) week when we determined positive coefficient of phenotype correlation (r(p) = 0.062), but statistically inconsequent.

AB - The objective of the present study was to investigate the effect of multiphase nutrition, i.e. different mixtures used in broiler nutrition, whose protein content was reduced in several phases, on production performances of broilers. The study was performed on 1216 individually tagged chickens of the Ross 308 strain, separated by sex, and divided into four groups. The standard fattening technology, with four nutrition treatments, was applied during the trial period (1-21 days). Chickens of the first group (control) were fed diet containing 23% of proteins from the 1st to 21st day, while the protein content in the remaining three trial groups was reduced during the trial period in several phases. Based on processed data it can be concluded that different programmes of multiphase nutrition had resulted in different effects on production performances of male and female chickens. Multiphase nutrition at the end of the starter period (21st day) had no statistically significant effect on a body weight of male and female chickens, i.e. the reduction of the protein level in mixtures for broilers had no effect on the decrease of the body weight compared to control male (723.48 g) and female (680.66 g) chickens. At the same time, programmes of multiphase nutrition (T4) resulted in the most favourable feed conversion in male (1.468) and female (1.502) chickens, which is in favour of the application of multiphase nutrition, considering that the difference in feed conversion can be essential for accomplishing positive economical results in the production. .

AB - Multiphase broiler nutrition is important from the standpoint of nutrition optimization, economical efficiency of production and protection of the environment. Objective of research is to investigate the effect of multiphase nutiriton, i.e. different mixtures used in broiler nutrition, whse protein content has been reduced in several phases during first fattening stage, on production performances of broilers. Investigation was carried out on 608 individually tagged male chickens, Ross 308 strain, divided into 4 groups: T1 (control group) - nutrition with mixture containing 23% of protein from 1-21st day; T2 - nutrition with mixture containing 23% of protein from 1st to 7th day, and from 7th to 21st day diet containing 21.5% protein; T3 - nutrition with mixture containing 23% of protein from 1st to 14th day and from 14th to 21st day diet containing 21.5% protein and T4 - nutrition with mixture containing 23% of protein from 1st to 3rd day, from 4-6th day with 22.55% protein, 7-9th day with 22.10% protein, 10-12th day diet with 21.65% protein, 13 - 15th day with 21.20% protein, 16-18th day with 20.75% protein and 19th-21st day diet with 20.30% protein. Main production parameters were registered during the trial period (from 1 to 21st day).Through processing of obtained data it ewas established that chickens of the T4 group (2092.42g), had realized statistically significantly higher body mass compared to T2 (2025.00g) and T3 (2020.07g), but not in relation to control group T1 (2055.16g), during trial period of 42 days. Also, it can be concluded that in regard to daily gain in period up to 21st day, no statistically significant differences between trial groups were established, however, for the entire trial period, average daily gain of chickens in T4 group (48.84g) was statistically considerably higher compared to T2 (47.24g) and T3 (47.13g), whereas in relation to T1 no differences were established T1 (47.99). Feed conversion differed between groups, precisely in favor of the application of multiphase broiler nutrition, i.e. feed conversion of the trial group T4 (1.870) was the best compared to T1 (1.918), T2 (2.005) and T3 (1.970). Based on obtained results it can be concluded that multiphase nutrition had effect on production performances, primarily level of food utilization.

Based on obtained results it can be concluded that multiphase nutrition had effect on production performances, primarily level of food utilization., Multifazna ishrana brojlera je značajna sa aspekta optimiziranja ishrane, ekonomičnosti proizvodnje i zaštite životne sredine.

AB - The aim of the research was to examine the impact duration of fattening the basic production indicators in the production of meat broilers hard line hybrid Cobb 500 The investigation included 36 round broiler chickens of both sexes who fattening in the period since 2004. until 2009. year at a private farm in the vicinity of Brčko District. Depending on the round, the shortest period of fattening lasted 34.5, 44.0 and longest days. Lengthening the duration of fattening increased the final body weight, feed conversion and mortality of broiler chickens, but decreased average daily gain and the value of production index. Namely, between the duration of fattening and production indicators tracked established a very strong, strong correlation and high correlation. The coefficient of correlation between the duration of the fattening and final body mass of broiler chickens was rp = 0.831***, conversion of food rp = 0.745***, mortality rp = 0.430**, average daily growth rp = 0.068ns and the production index rp = -0.226ns. Seen as a whole, during the fattening broiler chickens were achieved very good results in fattening up 39, 40, and 41 days. Namely, the longer fattening exacerbate the production results, and thus reduces the cost of fattening broiler chickens.

AB - These investigations were attended to identify the influence of parental flock age at heavy hybrid Cobb 500 (usage period) on more important reproductive capabilities, respectively, on carrying eggs intensity of brood eggs, incubation results, egg mass, one-day old chick weight, as well as on relative chick weight share in complete egg weight. Flock usage period lasted for 40 weeks (all eggs), respectively 38 (brood eggs) weeks and there was possibility, based on achieved results, with evaluation of phenotype correlation, to get some concrete conclusions about the age influence on analysed parameters during mentioned flock rising period. Phenotype correlation among investigated characteristics has been identified since second half of parental flock using period, since 41(st) week age (20(th) carrying eggs week) up to the end of production process when parental flock was 61 week old (41(st) egg production week). Flock age has statistically significant (P lt 0.05) influence on carrying eggs intensity of brood eggs until 50(th) week (r(p) = 0.389) and on percentage of chicken feasibility regard the complete number of inputted eggs until RP week (r(p) = 0.416). There was statistically significant increasing of egg weight and one-day old incubated chicken weight (P lt 0.001) as parental flock was older. Complete correlation was found between egg weight and absolute chick weight (P lt 0.001), and very strong (P lt 0.001) or strong (P lt 0.01) correlation between egg mass and relative chick share [(chicken weight/egg weight) x 100].

AB - The study presents results of examination of qualities of consumable eggs of two light hen types, Shawer 579 and Hisex Brown. Every four week, on the sample of 30 eggs for each hybrid, internal qualities of eggs were examined. This examination confirmed the rule that with the age, mass of yolk increases, too. A little greater height of yolk was found in hens Shawer 579. Mass, color and diameter of yolk were almost the same in both examined types. Generally, both examined hybrids gave satisfying results regarding qualities of yolk.
AB - U radu su prezentovani rezultati ispitivanja kvaliteta konzumnih jaja dve provenijence lakog tipa kokoši: Shaver 579 i Hisex Brown.
