AB - This paper analyzes the problems related to the reconstruction of a semi-mounted
berry harvester into a self-propelled one specified for exploitation on smaller orchards. The
components of the self-propelled machine, their purpose and mutual functional connection are
described in details, which retained the principle of unilateral picking of half the row of bush
berries from its semi-mounted predecessor. Among the most important general design features,
the following stand out in particular: the drive of the harvester working components, which is
achieved by means of appropriate combinations of hydraulic and mechanical power transmissions,
which allows it to be highly adaptable to different working conditions on the terrain, and the
control device, which is designed to maintain the movement of the machine in the direction set
by the driver, without decreasing the safety and passability requirements of the machine itself.
In the technology of berry fruit production in the Republic of Serbia, the harvesting process is
still the basic limiting factor. Manual picking participates as much as 75% in total production
costs. The costs of mechanical harvesting are between 2.05 and 2.27 times lower in comparison
to manual picking, depending on whether the machine is a towed or self-propelled. The paper
also provides a comprehensive analysis of the energy parameters of work for both versions of
the harvester. The results indicate that power losses on rolling and slipping are lower in the
self-propelled version 10 and 40%, respectively, while in the semi-mounted version the power lost
on the climb is 60-70% lower compared to the self-propelled version. As the harvesting process
is still a limiting factor in berry fruit production, in addition to reducing costs by applying
mechanized solutions, one of the goals of the work is the optimization of applied technical
solutions for the same.

AB - In agricultural production, sowing is one of the most important agro-technical
operations that influence the quality of the product and yield. The crops sowing quality, including wheat, depends on properly prepared soil, that is, on the quality of soil cultivation.
However, despite well-executed soil cultivation, satisfactory results cannot always be achieved if
sowing is not done in an appropriate manner. The achieved depth of sowing affects the speed of
sprouting, rooting, resistance of plants to low temperature and drought, intensity of budding,
growth and development, and achieving the highest yield in certain conditions. In unfavorable
agro-technical conditions, and especially in the conditions of dry farming, optimal conditions for
high-quality sowing often cannot be ensured by applying the conventional method. Therefore,
new cultivation and sowing systems are being applied in order to perform high-quality sowing
in time. During the experiment, the influences of the tillage system and sowing method on the
sowing depth and the depth of the formation of the tillering nodes were registered. The results
of two-year study are given, where four methods of tillage were applied, namely conventional
tillage at depths of up to 25 cm and three reduced tillage methods at different depths. Reduced cultivation with a discc harrrow was done at a depths between 8 and 12 cm, and reduced
cultivation with rototiller was done at depths of 5-10 cm and 10-15 cm. During the tests, the
sowing depth and the depths of the tillering nodes were determined by direct measuring of the
knots positions of the analyzed plants. Furthermore, it was verified that depth of the knot
has a significant effect on the resistance of wheat to low temperatures during winter and lack
of moisture during summer droughts. Achieved results enable further optimization of applied
cultivation and sowing systems.

AB - Tillage involves various complex mechanisms of mechanical disturbance of the soil, aimed to advance its physical structure by creating relevant conditions for growing crops Quality regulation of every specific tillage conception is critical for the soil physical parameters. Thus, the main goal of this work was to review approaches to the analysis of the quality of soil cultivation techniques. Relationships have been established between the basic operating parameters of the mechanization applied and the consequent particle size spreading of the soil. Supplementary, statistical indices of the distribution pattern of soil particles, based on higher-order dimensionless statistical parameters were estimated. The observed mass distributions of soil aggregates was the result of extremely complex and superimposed influences of soil type, field conditions, crop structure, equipment used, etc. At this stage, an accurate forecast of the impact of soil tillage techniques on the changes in composition and size distribution of soil aggregates based on mathematical modelling is very difficult. Further research will be continued to include wider range of soil types, agricultural mechanization systems and their operational regimes.

AB - The article is focused on the behaviour of the basic properties of dairy cow's solid manure over the maturation period. The manure was exposed to mechanized aerobic processing by mechanically turning-over. Performed analysis comprehended measurements of mass participation percentages of organic components, mineral matters, H2O, N, P2O5 and K2O, as well as measurements of PH-values during the seven weeks of supervised test period of effective aerobic preparation of the composting material. Through maturation, large growth of averaged mass percentages of nitrogen, phosphorous-pentoxide and potassium-oxide, more than triple in comparison to the initial levels in a fresh solid, has been verified. Following a possible common approach in the scientific and technical practice, an analytical semi-empirical approach was used in describing the changes over the time of manure properties during composting, supported by prototype of the machine Kompomat 1. Combining the analytical theory of diffusion partial differential equations and application of numerical methods to non-linear fitting of the experimental output data, it was verified that all acquired manure parameters follow an identical general exponential law (R2 all properties = 0,906-0,990; RMSEall properties = 0,010-2,544). Clear relationships between the values of basic parameters of solid manure under mechanized aerobic fermentation (y) and composting duration lap time (x) have been established. © 2022, Strojarski Facultet. AB - This paper presents the tests results of three types of hay mowing machines (later in text: mowers), namely a self-propelled oscillatory mower-conditioner and two tractor-mounted mowers with oscillatory and rotary blades, used to mow alfalfa grown under dry land conditions in the region of central Serbia during three seasons in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Although characterized by older design, they are still commonly used at smaller and medium size farms in this region. Therefore, their optimal exploitation parameters are still of large importance for hay quality and production efficiency and sustainability. The exploitation parameters of all three mowers generally increased linearly with higher speeds, having high R2 values (over 0,8), with rare exceptions. The regression coefficients b clearly showed that the self-propelled mower-conditioner achieved maximum increase in production performance (b = 0,3606), compared with the oscillatory (b = 0,1158) and rotary mowers (b = 0,1414). Mower design had a significant (p ≤ 0,001) effect on cutting and chopping losses, production performance, and specific fuel consumption (p ≤ 0,05). The tests confirmed the superiority of the self-propelled mower over the two mowers aggregated with tractors.

Therefore, this paper was aimed to describe mathematical model for droplet size distribution. Through field exploitation experiment, data was used from three ISO numbers of nozzles (hollow cone 80 015; 02 and 03), two air-assisted sprayers (axial and radial fan) and two permanent crops (vineyard and an apple orchard). Water sensitive papers were used for evaluation of droplet diameters, and digital image analysis with Image J software was used for data processing. Mathematical model through homogenous diffusion equation and simplified differential equation shows that droplet size distribution had exponential function of modelling. Theoretical mathematical model was confirmed in experimental results, where coefficient of determination of exponential regression model for 80 015 nozzles was 0.93 with 5.15 of RMSE. The same coefficient for 80 02 nozzles was 0.96 with 2.88 of RMSE and for 80 03 nozzle R2 was 0.93 with 3.25 of RMSE. In addition, it is proved that droplet diameter depends on operating pressure with very high negative correlation (80 03 nozzles: r = −0.98; 80 02 nozzles: r = −0.97; 80 015 nozzles: r = −0.95). This data will help future researchers in their papers to facilitate and describe similar models for plat protection processes, and all agricultural producers to determine optimal operating pressure which is immensely important in economic, biologic, technical and ecologic aspect.

AB - The paper presents the three years efficiency results (2011-2013) of the work and ways of harvesting (three types of mowers, with or without spreading the forage) influencing the quality of the forage (the content of crude protein and crude fiber) during the three days drying process. These results indicate that the harvesting method can strongly affect the work efficiency, energy consumption, the forage drying intensity and the quality of forage used for hay and haylage preparation. The best quality of the forage was achieved when a drum rotating mower POTTINGER CAT 185 was used. Negative correlation was found between content of crude protein and the crude fibre content, depending on the type of mower, varying in the range between r= -0.978 and r= -0.882 (POTTINGER CAT 185 r= -0.882 P lt = 0.05 to JF STOLL SB 200 r= -0.978 P lt = 0.001).

AB - The paper analyzes the possibility and the needs for the use of specific types of robots (mini unmanned aircraft with different designs and the designation of UAVs) and the possibility of using in agriculture (agrodrone). The year 2015 was proclaimed (Fortune Magazine, 2016) as the year of increasing and widespread use of UAVs in various areas of human activity, especially in agriculture and forestry (75% of use). This is important for large farm areas, where UAV has many useful functions and a very cost-effective commercial application. Today, the needs for UAVs have increased sharply with various opportunities for both civilian and military needs. There is also a significant interest in the development of new drones that can autonomously fly in different environments and locations and can perform various missions and tasks. Over the past decade, a wide range of applications for drones has gained the significance that led to the discovery of various types of unmanned UAVs of different sizes and weights. In this review, the classification of UAVs ranging based on a detailed overview of the development of the drone industry in recent years, this paper demonstrates the evolution of drones and differents application technologies. Of course, this development is very advanced and revolutionary, as well as the development of mobile and smart phones and the Internet, which will open the way for many users to participate in defining the future of UAV implementation. AB - At present, spreading of mineral fertilizers in Europe is most commonly performed using centrifugal disk spreaders with attached vanes. The motion of an ideal spherical homogeneous fertilizer particle along the straight vane attached to a flat rotating disc was analyzed in this paper. The analysis was performed in the non-inertial reference coordinate system. From the assumptions introduced to enable analytical describing of the real particle motion as well as the general tools of solid mechanics, the ordinary in-homogenous second-order differential equation having constant coefficients arose. Its solution represents an approximation of the real relative motion of the fertilizer particle along the straight radial vane fixed to the flat horizontal disc rotating at a constant angular velocity. However, the solution of this kind can be very useful for the optimization of centrifugal spreader working parameters.

abstract = "At present, spreading of mineral fertilizers in Europe is most commonly performed using centrifugal disk spreaders with attached vanes. However, the solution of this kind can be very useful for the optimization of centrifugal spreader working parameters., U Evropi se za rasipanje granularnog mineralnog đubriva najčešće koriste centrifugalni rasipači sa lopaticama. AB - The analysis of the factors that show decisive influence on the tractors stability and the possible overturning, should preventively indicate the possible improvements of the tractor construction, in order to increase the tractor's and operator's safety. The purpose of this paper is to check the static angles of the longitudinal and lateral tractor stability, using the different methods that check the tractor stability up to the to the turnover limit. The process is based on the tractor longitudinal and lateral tilting and measurement of the reference values of the wheels heights with respect to the base. The same angles can be obtained by various analytical and numerical methods based on the Theoretical mechanics. This paper suggests on the importance of empirical data, because they are the basis for further stability analysis of the tractors, other self-propelled agricultural machines.

AB - The paper analyzes the motion of idealized spherical homogeneous fertilizer particle along the straight vane attached to flat rotating disc. The analysis, based on the assumption on the pure rolling of the particle along the vane (without sliding), has been performed in the non-inertial reference coordinate system, which rotates together with the spreader disk. The particle motion along the vane is described by hyperbolic cosine function, which is the solution of the ordinary in-homogenous secondorder differential equation having constant coefficients. Solution of this kind represents an approximation of the real motion of fertilizer particle along the radial vane fixed to horizontal disc rotating at constant angular velocity. However, it can be very useful for optimization of centrifugal spreader design and working parameters, as well as for further analysis of the whole fertilizer spreading process that also includes particle flight.

AB - Many filtration systems employing perlite granulations have been designed so far. Size distribution of perlite particles directly influences the retention properties of filter media. The information on the size distribution of perlite particles, used in each specific dead-end filtration process (the flow of fluid being filtered is perpendicular to the surface of filter medium), is crucial for the adequate design of filter medium. In order to facilitate the design of filter systems possessing filter media of this kind, a new and particular mathematical model has been developed for this present study. It is based on an appropriate partial differential equation and additional mathematical conditions, whose solution is an exponential function describing the probability density distribution of perlite particle sizes. The formulated model was experimentally verified by measuring the particle sizes of a perlite granulation using the morphometric method, based on the application of a standard light microscope and digital image analysis software. The fitting procedure of experimental data gave acceptable values of accuracy parameters - high R-square factor (R-2 = 0,905) and small value of the root-mean square error (MSE = 0,490).

AB - Proper seed distribution over area and depth is the essential condition that provides later uniform plants distribution over the vegetation space. Paper presents statistical analysis of two drills accuracy results in winter rye sowing. Experiment was done in north Kosovo, during rye sowing with two mechanical seed drills, OLT Gama and IMT 634.23. Besides the comparative analysis of the sowing results achieved by these two drills, in the paper is tested and verified the applicability of Gaussian function for analytical description of longitudinal, transverse and depth distribution of winter rye seed at the experimental plot.
AB - Forage harvesters should chop crop mass to particles having short and uniform lengths. Length distribution of forage particles represents an important parameter for ruminant's diet formulation, especially for dairy cattle. During silage production, harvest considerations should be focused to obtaining the adequate particle size distribution of the ensiling crop particles. This paper presents the results of mining studies of three different forage harvesters at harvesting maize for silage preparation. The aim of this testing is to determine the operational characteristics and quality of the following forage harvesters Claas Jaguar 675, Zmaj 350 and John Deere 5820. The average yield of the mass was about 26 t ha(-1). Based on these results, it is concluded that the losses due to cutting height range from 3.83% to 5.97%. Clear relation between working velocity of forage harvesters and losses caused by inappropriate cutting height was proved. These two parameters are directly proportional, i. e. their connection is strong (R-2 = 0.88) and linear. All three harvesters achieved fairly acceptable cut lengths of harvested maize particles. However, experimental results verify the operational supremacy of forage harvesters Class Jaguar 675 and John Deere 5820 with relation to the long used forage harvester Zmaj 350. The minimum deviation achieved for long chopped mass in relation to the setting, was recorded when storing silage with silage Claas Jaguar 675 in which the average length of chopped mass was 9.97 mm, where as for the fraction of length up to 10 mm was 69.87%.

AB - This paper presents results of dry aggregate size analysis of non-carbonate Humogley after the autumn tillage for wheat seeding. The 140 soil samples have been taken from square area of 90 m in length and 60 m in width, at depths of 0-5 cm and 5-10 cm. Structural aggregates larger than 9.5 mm were dominant in samples at depth of 0-5 cm, 51.67%. In contrast, the fractions larger than 50 mm have not been evidenced in any of acquired soil samples. This way, the regular conditions of Humogley has been confirmed and, therefore, its applicability for soil aggregate analysis and testing of the appropriate models has been verified too. Among others, presented results also show the large discrepancies of mean weight diameters of structural aggregates at different sample sites over the experimental plot. The analogue difference has been evidenced between the sample sites at depths of 0-5 cm and 5-10 cm. It follows that analysis of the representative distribution of soil structural aggregates of any plot demands analysis of large number of soil samples, acquired over the whole area of the plot.

AB - The biggest problem in seed birdsfoot trefoil harvest is pod cracking before and during harvest. At full maturity, birdsfoot trefoil pods crack easily, resulting in seed spillage and hence seed losses. The cracking pod problem significantly limits the successful production of seeds. Exploitation indices, operational performance and reliability of a used general-purpose Claas Mercator 50 combine harvester in harvesting birdsfoot trefoil seed were studied. The testing was carried out in field conditions in Western Serbia area. The losses of grain over the cutter bar and over the threshing machine were found out.Total header and thresher losses ranged from 21.28% to 23.86% at an operating speed of 2.04 km/h and 2.63 km/h, respectively. This is an expected result for the crop under increased crop moisture conditions. There was loss of operating time i.e. congestion of unharvested grain due to increased operating rate, seed moisture and straw. Time consumption for elimination of harvesting delay at a rate of 2.63 km/h was higher than at a rate of 2.04 km/h and accounted for 13.48% of the total operating time. The research also involved monitoring of intensity pod cracking during the day depending on air temperature. Birdsfoot trefoil pod opening intensity increased of starts after 11 a.m. at air temperatures over 30 0 C when 80-90% of pods crack at 17- 20% moisture.
AB - U žetvi semena žutog zvezdana najveći problem predstavlja otvaranje mahuna pre i toku žetve.

AB - Alfalfa is one of the most important crops for forage production. Traditional method of alfalfa conservation assumes hay preparation. However, nowadays it is also commonly processed in the form of silage and haylage. Physiological effects of forages that are included in diets depend on plant species, stage of maturity, method of preservation and diet composition. Physical characteristics of rations for ruminants are primarily influenced by dietary forage to concentrate ratio, type of forages and concentrates, and mean particle size of feeds. Length distribution of forage particles represents an important parameter for ruminant’s diet formulation, especially for dairy cattle. During silage production, harvest considerations should be focused to obtaining the adequate particle size distribution of the ensiling crop particles.
This paper presents results of testing three contemporary types of self-propelled silage harvesters applied in the alfalfa haylage preparation: Claas Jaguar 950, Krone Big X 700 and Krone Big X 500. All machines were adapted with pick-up headers. In the study are analyzed length distributions of chopped alfalfa particles. Resulting frequency distributions of produced haylage are characterised by high mass percentage of the fraction comprehending the largest particles. It is also evident that harvester Class Jaguar 950 achieved the mean chopping length closest to preset value.

AB - The paper presents testing results of three silage combines employed in maize silage preparation in Toplica region. It is focused on determination of technical working parameters of tested machines. Achieved results verified the superiority of silage combine John Deere 5820, which produced the chopped mass having particle lengths of the smallest deviation with respect to the preset cutting length. In this case, the average length of chopped mass was 9.9 mm, having 69 % mass in the range up to 8 mm. The other two silage combines produced lower mass percentage of this fraction and larger variations of particle lengths with respect to the preset length. Minimum mass flow rate was evidenced for the silage combine Fortschrit E-286: 7.3 kg s-1 (26.3 t h-1) and the surface productivity of 0.83 ha h-1, at the average speed of 4.0 km h-1. Maximum production rate was achieved with silage combine John Deere 5820: 10.9 kg s-1 (39.1 t h-1) at average working velocity of 4.7 km h-1 and surface efficiency of 1.21 ha h-1.

abstract = "The paper presents testing results of three silage combines employed in maize silage preparation in Toplica region. AB - So far, many types, styles and sizes of mowing equipment has been developed and introduced in the agricultural practice. Therefore, leaf crops harvesting seems to be easier to mechanize with respect to other cultivars. However, keeping the leaf matter clean and loaded into a dryer without contaminants limits the kind of mechanization that can be used. In this paper is given a general review of Parsley (Petroselinum crispum) crops properties, possible benefits of its applications and basic principles of mechanized growing technology. In addition a simplified agroeconomical calculation of the production costs against possible income from sold vegetables, based on current prices expressed in euros is also provided. This way, the production of Parsley herbs is justified from medical, nutritive, culinary and economical points of view. Finally, results of testing three harvesters of different design, applied for collecting and preparation of parsley leaves at parcels in the region of south Banat (North Serbia) are presented and analysed. Measurements comprehended following working parameters: harvester velocity, loss of acquired crop and cutting lengths distribution of parsley leafs.

AB - The plant cell walls play an important role in defining the shape and size of the plant cell, matter flow regulation, mitigation of environmental influences and achievement of homeostasis, as well as in defense and protection against pathogens in plant tissues and organs. This paper presents an original approach to the establishment of the mathematical model based upon the former study dealing with the surface nano-roughness distribution of the model cell wall. The differential equation accompanied with the appropriate additional conditions, which describes such kind of distributions, has been formulated and presented. The developed model was tested using the already reported experimental data of an artificial cell wall, made of polysaccharides based on bacterial cellulose supplemented with xyloglucan and pectin (BCPX) that imitate properties of the natural cell wall. It has been demonstrated that proposed differential equation, has an analytical solution in the form of the normal Gaussian distribution, which describes the surface roughness of cell walls made of this material accurately.
