AB - Increased demand for food production, influenced by the constant growth of population, resulted in the agricultural production systems that are more energy and economy intensive. The aim of this study was to evaluate the energetic and economic efficiency of sugar beet and wheat production. Attention was given to the fertilizer usage and its share in energy consumption since it can amount to 50%. Data show that energy input in wheat production was 5.84 MJ.kg(-1) and in sugar beet it was 0.93 MJ.kg(-1). The highest share of energy input both in wheat and sugar beet was observed for fertilizers, 52.45% and 46.70%, respectively. Economic analysis has shown that wheat production is a low profitable production with a net return of only 20.69 USD.ha(-1), in comparison with sugar beet production with a net return of 513.53 USD.ha(-1). Costs related to the fertilizer use prevailed in total variable and total production costs. Economic analysis has also shown that the benefit-to-cost ratio was higher in sugar beet production (1.33) compared to wheat production (1.03). Furthermore, it was determined that these economic indicators were less sensitive in sugar beet production than in wheat production regarding the variation of fertilizer.

AB - The efficiency of primary agricultural production is under constant analysis relative to energy, economy and ecology. Notwithstanding technological innovations in agricultural production, engineers and researchers are still seeking to create a production system that would render the primary agricultural production more energy efficient and ecologically sustainable. The purpose of this paper is to examine the energy consumption and efficiency of crop production with an emphasis on the importance of mineral fertilizers and their influence on the overall energy consumption. The results obtained indicate that mineral fertilizers claim a share of the total energy consumption in crop production ranging from 40.53 % in sunflowers to 55.19 % in maize. A statistically significant correlation was found between the energy inputs for fertilizers and crop yields. The regression analysis performed showed a positive correlation between the energy inputs for fertilizers and yields in all the crops considered, with the exception of wheat.

AB - In this paper the influence of greenhouse construction type on energy efficiency of tomato and lettuce production was analysed. Influence of greenhouse construction on energy consumption was estimated for four different double plastic covered greenhouses. Specific energy input, energy output-input ratio and energy productivity were estimated in the tomato and lettuce production. Results show that there are differences in energy efficiency regarding the production as well as regarding the type of construction. The average energy input in greenhouse tomato production was 24.13 MJ m(-2) while in lettuce it was 3.19 MJ m(-2). Results also showed that the type of greenhouse construction has a significant influence on the energy efficiency of the greenhouse tomato and lettuce production. Greenhouses with the higher specific volume, in both cases had the higher energy output, higher energy efficiency, higher energy ratios and higher energy productivity.

AB - In this paper, two different approaches in analyzing the tractor lifetime assessment are presented. The first one is based on reliability theory and the other one is based on the relevant experience that was implemented in the ASABE standards. In this way, the dependence of tractor reliability and lifetime on working conditions is presented through two models verified in the paper. Tractors from two different producers were analyzed. Experimental data were collected during the tractor working engagement at the fields of Agricultural Corporation Belgrade (ACB). Analyzing the obtained data it is possible to find the mismanagement in the tractor usage. Removing them it is possible to extend the period of tractor utilization. In this way the overall organization of tractor- machinery system on a farm can significantly be improved.

AB - Basilicata region is traditionally an agricultural territory which can be seen from the diffused presence of rural buildings and water mills, used in the past above all for grinding of the cereals. These factories were built primarily in the hilly and mountainous areas near to broad streams and springs. Unfortunately, today the greatest part of the mills is overgrown by uncultivated vegetation and represent ruins without the hydraulic and grinding systems. Only a small number of these mills is still working. A lot of factories, however, preserved, at least partially, the brickworks and/or the hydraulic and grinding systems; therefore, they could be recovered and used for didactic-demonstrative aims, in a context of rural tourism, and/or to produce good quality material for typical pasta and biscuits, in order to keep alive a historical-cultural tradition of the Basilicata. The aim of this paper was to present the state of the art of some existing agricultural water mills and to give future perspectives and ideas how to reconstruct them and revitalize them. The paper shows their historical characterization and a first classification based on their state of conservation, both structural and plant.

AB - The paper analyzes the possibility and the needs for the use of specific types of robots (mini unmanned aircraft with different designs and the designation of UAVs) and the possibility of using in agriculture (agrodrone). The year 2015 was proclaimed (Fortune Magazine, 2016) as the year of increasing and widespread use of UAVs in various areas of human activity, especially in agriculture and forestry (75% of use). This is important for large farm areas, where UAV has many useful functions and a very cost-effective commercial application. Today, the needs for UAVs have increased sharply with various opportunities for both civilian and military needs. There is also a significant interest in the development of new drones that can autonomously fly in different environments and locations and can perform various missions and tasks. Over the past decade, a wide range of applications for drones has gained the significance that led to the discovery of various types of unmanned UAVs of different sizes and weights. In this review, the classification of UAVs ranging based on a detailed overview of the development of the drone industry in recent years, this paper demonstrates the evolution of drones and differents application technologies. Of course, this development is very advanced and revolutionary, as well as the development of mobile and smart phones and the Internet, which will open the way for many users to participate in defining the future of UAV implementation. LIVONA Company, Belgrade, Serbia (and Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture in Belgrade, in tehnical cooperation) has a study and plans on the implementation of the model micro drone EBee SQ Livona RTK in the future general plans for inspection of protection Soils of territory Minicipality of Stara Pazova (351 km2), and agricultural company Napredak, and exspecially plans for soils of agriculture of R. AB - U radu su analizirane mogućnosti i potrebe upotrebe specifičnih vrsta robota (mini bespilotnih letelica sa različitim dizajnom, o značane kao UAV) i način korištenja u poljoprivredi (agrodron). AB - The paper analyzes the motion of idealized spherical homogeneous fertilizer particle along the straight vane attached to flat rotating disc. The analysis, based on the assumption on the pure rolling of the particle along the vane (without sliding), has been performed in the non-inertial reference coordinate system, which rotates together with the spreader disk. The particle motion along the vane is described by hyperbolic cosine function, which is the solution of the ordinary in-homogenous secondorder differential equation having constant coefficients. Solution of this kind represents an approximation of the real motion of fertilizer particle along the radial vane fixed to horizontal disc rotating at constant angular velocity. However, it can be very useful for optimization of centrifugal spreader design and working parameters, as well as for further analysis of the whole fertilizer spreading process that also includes particle flight.

AB - Spinach is very common in the human nutrition due to its high nutritive value. It is commonly grown in the greenhouses. In region of Serbia, spinach is commonly grown in the tunnel structure greenhouses, covered with single or double PE folia without additional heating. The aim of the research was to see if different greenhouse construction types influence the microclimatic parameters in the spinach production and to see if choosing the certain greenhouse construction type can improve an overall production conditions resulting in higher spinach yield, lower energy consumption and higher energy productivity. Spinach production was tracked in the three different types of greenhouses. The round-shaped greenhouse has its base diameter of 7 m while tunnel type greenhouse was 5.5 m wide and 24 m long. Single span greenhouse was 10 m wide and 50 m long. All greenhouses were covered with PE UV IR 180 mu m folia. Results show that production conditions are dependent on type of greenhouse construction. During the winter spinach production solar radiation energy losses in the tunnel structure were 29.38% while the round-shaped greenhouse was losing 19.51% of the solar radiation energy. Losses in the single-span greenhouse were 12% in the morning hours and 43% during the day. During the day air temperatures in the greenhouses were higher. In the round-shaped and tunnel structure greenhouse this temperature difference lower than 1 degrees C and are not considered important for the plants. In the case of single-span greenhouse inside-outside differences were 2.52 degrees C up to 16.26 degrees C.

AB - Mineral fertilizers have a pivotal role in contemporary agricultural production, especially when seeking to exploit the full biological potential of crops. This paper presents the results of a three-year experiment on the distribution uniformity of different mineral fertilizer application systems. One of the objectives in this study was to define the physical and mechanical properties of four different types of mineral fertilizers and examine their changes during storage, transportation and application. A total of four fertilizers were taken into account: UREA, CAN, MAP and NP. The main physical properties, i.e. particle size, particle size distribution, friction coefficient, angle of repose and particle resistance, were analyzed on samples collected from the storage, the trailer (prior to application) and the field (after application). The results obtained show that fertilizers with a particle size distribution of 3.3 to 4.75 mm exhibit higher values of the angle of repose, friction and resistance. The lowest value of the angle of friction (17.53 0) was observed in the UREA fertilizer after application, whereas the highest angle of friction (24.37 0) was measured in the MAP fertilizer obtained from the storage. The values of the static repose angle varied depending on the fertilizer type and the place of sampling (storage, trailer or field). The lowest value of the static repose angle (30.34 0) was measured in the MAP fertilizer after application, whereas the highest static repose angle (36.91 0) was measured in the NP fertilizer from the storage. The NP fertilizer exhibited the highest value of the dynamic friction angle, whereas the lowest value of the dynamic friction angle was calculated for the UREA fertilizer. The NP fertilizer particles showed the highest resistance, whereas the UREA fertilizer particles were most susceptible to breakage.

abstract = "Mineral fertilizers have a pivotal role in contemporary agricultural production, especially when seeking to exploit the full biological potential of crops. The NP fertilizer particles showed the highest resistance, whereas the UREA fertilizer particles were most susceptible to breakage., Savremena poljoprivredna proizvodnja se ne može zamisliti bez primene đubriva, posebno sa aspekta boljeg korišćenja biološkog potencijala rodnosti gajenih biljaka. AB - Agricultural production in greenhouse represents the most intensive form of agricultural production. This is a very complex production system that needs to be well maintained and with great attention. The aim of this paper is to present preliminary research results on raspberry production in greenhouse and in the open field regarding the microclimatic production conditions. In this paper, results on microclimatic production conditions in the tunnel structure greenhouse and in the open filed are presented. The raspberry variety Heritage (Rubus Heritage) was grown in the 7 x 24 m tunnel greenhouse covered with the single PE folia and in the open filed. Results show that production conditions in the greenhouse enable prolonged harvesting (September, October) till the first frosts. Air temperature, air relative humidity and solar radiation were measured and analyzed. Temperature inside the greenhouse varied along the greenhouse and during the day but the variations were not significant enabling the uniform production conditions during the day. Air relative humidity did not show significant variation concerning the open field and greenhouse production. Solar radiation showed high losses in the morning hours. Only 25.82 % of solar energy was available to the plants.

AB - The effects of utilization of different color shade nets in lettuce production during the summer season were evaluated in Serbian climate conditions for pearl, blue, red and black shade nets in comparison to open field production. Applied shade nets (with shade index of 50%) significantly reduced solar irradiation (from 890 in open field to 400-560 Wm(-2) under the shade nets) and photosynthetically active radiation (from 2020 in open field to less than 1000 mu mol s(-1) M-2 under the shade nets). Color shade nets affected both, properties of lettuce during the growing period and its morphological properties. Namely, the leaf area index was increased, lettuce heads were characterized with significantly higher marketable head weight and head diameter, the period from planting to bolting was significantly shorter, the outer leafs were characterized with more intensive green tone (-a*) and the lettuce leafs were softer and more tender for lettuce grown under the shade nets in comparison to open field production. In respect to lettuce composition, total chlorophyll content, contents of both chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b, as well as carotenoid content were significantly higher in shaded leaves of lettuce than in the control plants. Significantly higher (30.78 mg GAE g(-1) d.m.) total phenol content was determined in plants grown under the pearl shade nets accompanied with significantly higher flavonoids content (14.28 mg RE g(-1) d.m.) and significantly higher antioxidant properties (lower EC50 DPPH values) in comparison to all other nets. However, the antioxidant properties of control plants were at the same level as for the pearl net, in spite of lower phenols and flavonoids content.

AB - Rapeseed is one of the most important sources of edible oil, raw material for industry, as well as feed. The yield and quality of rapeseed have significantly been improved in recent decades as a result of intensive breeding and optimized production technology. The application of Mendel's rules in introducing monogenic traits has also contributed to success in rapeseed breeding. Rule 1, which refers to the uniformity of F-1 generation, is now the basis of widespread development of rapeseed hybrids. Rule 2, dealing with genetic segregation in the F-2 generation, is the basis for understanding the process of breeding lines. Rule 3, regarding the independent segregation of genes and traits, while exempting linked traits, is the basis of combining different desirable properties by selection. In the last few decades, the systematic use of Mendel's rules has contributed to the improvement of many properties of rapeseed, including tolerance to biotic and abiotic stress, yield and seed quality. Particular progress has been made in breeding for resistance to diseases, including the identification of molecular markers for marker-assisted selection. The next objective of rapeseed breeding is to create varieties with improved tolerance to environmental stress (e.g. frost, heat, and drought). Based on Mendel's rules, classical breeding methods and the latest developments in the field of molecular genetics and breeding, future progress is expected in the field of rapeseed breeding with an emphasis on polygenic, quantitative traits such as biomass, seed, and oil yield.

AB - The aim of this research was to investigate the microclimatic parameters in the different tunnel greenhouse constructions in order to see if the choice of the greenhouse construction can improve the production conditions inside the greenhouse. A new type of round shape greenhouse construction is introduced that should lead to more energy efficient vegetable production. Production conditions were tracked in the open field and in the greenhouses. Results show that temperature pattern and its values during the night and day depend on the greenhouse construction, plant specie and production season.

AB - In this paper a way of improving the greenhouse production on the small scale or family farms is presented. A new type of round shape greenhouse construction is introduced that should lead to more energy, economy and ecology efficient vegetable production. Energy efficiency of the spinach and tomato production in the round greenhouse was compared with common tunnel structure. Results show that, regardless the production surface restrictions, with this type of greenhouse construction financial and energy savings are possible together with the minimization of the plant protection chemical usage. If organic fertilizer is used this type of construction can lead to improved food safety production.

AB - Contemporary agricultural production has high demands in sense of high productivity technical and production systems and thus imposes construction of new highly sophisticated technical solutions. One of these new solutions for the energy and economy efficient agricultural production is CASE STEIGER 400 tractor. The aim of the research was to determine the overall tractor working parameters and their optimization in tillage using a chisel plough. Obtained results show that the average fuel consumption during the field experiments was 38.8 l/ha, productivity 2.4 ha/h and energy consumption 68.6 kWh/ha. In the case of non-conventional tillage overall energy consumption was 250 MJ/ha, indicating that energy savings are feasible if adequate production technology is applied and technical systems used.

AB - The successful use of plant breeding for improving desirable traits requires the existence of genetic variability for these traits. Induced mutations are often used to create new genetic variability within a plant species. The objective of this study was to provide new genetic variability that can be exploited for improvement of important agronomic traits in sunflower production. The seeds of 8 sunflower inbred lines from the gene collection of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad, Serbia were irradiated with gamma rays (gamma) and fast neutrons (Nf) and treated in an ethyle-methane-sulphonate (ems) solution. The manifestation of mutations was mostly expressed in the M-2 and M-3 generations. Seven mutants were selected: 1 early flowering (L3ME), 2 short (L2MS and RIMS) and 1 high stature (R3MT), 2 with higher oil content (L1MO and R2MO) and 1 with branching (L4MBr). The stable progenies were evaluated in micro-plot tests in M-6 and M-7 generations for seed yield and other agronomic traits in comparison with their respective original lines. Further studies should be focused on testing new mutant lines in hybrid combinations, as well as determining the inheritance of mutant traits.

AB - In this paper carrot open field production was analyzed. Spring seeded carrot was used for root drying and summer seeded carrot was used for the fresh consumption. Average yields were 50 and 69 t/ha with the total energy input of 52.45 and 76.44 GJ/ha. Total energy consumption in drying was 373 GJ/ha. Carrot root for the fresh market was stored for six months, then washed and packed with the total energy input of 99 GJ/ha. In the structure of energy inputs for drying, the highest share had the natural gas consumption and electricity and these were 74.52 and 19.73 %. In the case of fresh market carrot processing, the highest share in total energy input of 74.57 % had the electricity. In order to minimize the energy input in the process of drying, carrot should be seeded in spring and the one that is for the fresh consumption, should be seeded in summer.

AB - In this paper the influence of tomato production technology and greenhouse construction type on production energy efficiency was analyzed. Influence of greenhouse construction on energy consumption was estimated for four different double plastic covered greenhouses: a tunnel type, covered with 180 µm PE UV IR outside folia, a gutter connected plastic covered greenhouse with 50 µm inner folia and 180 µm outside folia, a multi-span greenhouse with four bays with 50 µm inner folia and 180 µm outside folia and a multi-span greenhouse with thirteen bays were used. Specific energy input, energy output-input ratio and energy productivity were estimated. Results show that there are differences in the open field and greenhouse tomato production. The lowest energy input was measured for the open filed tomato production (18.02 MJ/m2) while in greenhouses in average was 24.13 MJ/m2. Concerning the greenhouses alone, the highest energy input was calculated in the case of tunnel structure, 26.87 MJ/m2. The lowest yield was observed in the open filed tomato production (1.89 kg/m2). The highest yield was achieved in the multi-span greenhouse with thirteen bays (6.08 kg/m2). Analysis showed that tomato production technology influences the energy efficiency and that the type of greenhouse construction has a significant influence on the energy efficiency of the greenhouse tomato production.

abstract = "In this paper the influence of tomato production technology and greenhouse construction type on production energy efficiency was analyzed. Analysis showed that tomato production technology influences the energy efficiency and that the type of greenhouse construction has a significant influence on the energy efficiency of the greenhouse tomato production., U radu je prikazan uticaj tehnologije gajenja paradajza (otvoreno polje ili objekti zaštićenog prostora) na energetsku efikasnost. AB - New technologies could be adequately introduced for an improved analysis aimed to the sustainable management and planning of the rural land, as well as its environment and landscape. Nowadays, this analysis is easier and more complete through the use of powerful and reliable tools. Several changes can be considered to be as models of territorial development, useful for an appropriate planning of the human interventions in a rural area. Remote sensing techniques could be employed for the monitoring of agricultural land variation, while Geographical Information Systems are excellent tools for landscape modeling and three-dimensional analysis. In this chapter, land-use changes in a rural area located in southern Italy were analyzed by comparing some historical cartographic supports with modern maps, in order to evaluate the morphological and vegetation variations of the agroforestry land during time. Moreover, a landscape analysis was conducted through the implementation of digital terrain models, which were enriched by draping land cover pictures over them. These elaborations finally enabled an evaluation in a scenic way of the aesthetic quality of the agroforestry landscape, allowing a virtual jump back to time periods when digital aerial photography was not yet even possible. This multi-temporal analysis with the support of GIS techniques revealed to have a great potential for assessing and managing landscape diversity and changes of vegetation, as well as for planning sound interventions over the landscape structures.

AB - The recent growing research of new ways for widening sustainable tourism opportunities leaded, in many European countries, to the valorisation of some farmyards, together with the working activities usually conducted there. Rural tourism offers new ways for enjoying the agricultural land in close contact with naturally untouched landscapes, often coupled with the unique opportunity to personally look at the preparation of traditional genuine food products, with the possibility to taste and buy them. In this way, rural tourism enables to appreciate some traditional aspects that the new industrialized modern society may have forgotten. For a sound valorization of rural tourism, a suitable restoration and functional requalification of the farm building plays a central role. With the aim to plan a common approach about new innovative ways for valorising rural tourism, mainly in mountain areas, in the present paper a first analysis focused on the possibilities of exploiting agricultural activities and restoring vernacular farm buildings for rural tourism was conducted, with reference to some areas located into different countries of the Adriatic-Ionian Macro-region. Some vernacular farm buildings, synthesizing in their architectural expression the culture, traditions and ways of life of different generations of rural population, were identified and analyzed in their typology, with the aim to detect and compare their architectural aspects. The results of this survey enable the drafting of an innovative common protocol for planning suitable technical and economical interventions aimed to the revitalization of mountain rural areas, through the organization of a network focused on the valorization of common agricultural activities and production of local traditional foods, together with the exploitation of rural tourism activities, geared by the restoration of vernacular farm buildings according with specific common specs, able to recover them in such a way to balance at the same time their traditional vocation and the environmental sustainability of the landscape they are incorporated into.

AB - Greenhouse production system is a system that needs a good management. If on the beginning things are not clear to the producer the greenhouse system will not work properly and it would be economically and energetically unstable. Before starting the greenhouse business the farmer must have an idea what he wants, what is he capable of and what are his resources. In this paper, an improvement of a simple model as decision support model for the greenhouse production system is presented. The basic idea of the algorithm was to offer to the producer an adequate solution of the greenhouse production systems regarding the greenhouse construction type and technical systems with their capacities, based on his elementary idea. In sense of user friendly working environment, spatial analysis (GIS) was introduced as a possibility of serving as an input data tool for the model. Based on the farmer / producer location algorithm itself draws the data from the various orographic characteristics such as slope of the terrain, exposition, soil type, soil quality, underground waters and weather conditions for the specific location and thus provides to the farmer / producer necessary input data in the short period of time.

AB - Greenhouse plant production is one of the most intensive parts of the agricultural production. In order to reduce the costs and save the energy, various greenhouse constructions and different coverings are offered to the farmers. One of the biggest problems is in winter production when additional heating and light are needed as well as in summer when intensive cooling is needed. During these period construction and coverings fully show their qualities. The aim of this research was to investigate the temperature and air relative humidity distribution in the different greenhouse constructions in the different production systems in order to see if the choice of the greenhouse construction can improve the production conditions inside the greenhouse enabling the better energy efficiency and lower energy input for heating / cooling. Results show that temperature pattern and its values during the night and day depends on the greenhouse construction, plant specie that is grown and production season. Temperature differences of 6.91 degrees C in the tunnel construction during winter were found to be very significant while in the gutter-connected greenhouse these differences were not significant. In the summer period temperature differences were not significant in neither of the greenhouses. In the winter production gutter-connected greenhouse had significantly, 5.09 degrees C, higher temperatures compared to the outside during the day and during the night. In the tunnel greenhouse these temperatures were significantly higher only during the day. Air relative humidity showed significantly higher values for the summer and winter period. In the gutter-connected greenhouse these differences were higher only in the summer period.
