Technical equipment with mechanization on medium-sized family farms

AB  - The work investigated the equipment of tractors, attachments and combines
in a medium-sized family farm. The research was conducted on the registered family
farm "Đurković" in the village of Čestin in the municipality of Knić. The farm cultivates
arable and forage crops for feeding dairy cows and fattening oxen on an area of 44 ha.
In the sowing structure, meadows are the most represented with 20 ha (45.45%),
alfalfa 5 ha (11.36%), silage maize 3 ha (6.83%) and perko 0.4 ha (0.91%). The farm
also grows barley on 2 ha, wheat on 1.5 ha, soybeans on 0.7 ha, oats on 0.4 ha, and
peppers for processing on 40 ares. The production process is carried out with three
tractors, 22 implements, a self-propelled combine for small grains and a combine for
silage. One tractor with an average engine power of 41.4 kV works 14.67 ha of
available land with 7.33 attachments. The total available power of the tractor engine is
129.43 kW, and the energy equipment of the farm is 2.94 kW/ha, which is the average
of family farms in Serbia. If the combine engine power for small grain and silage were
added, the energy equipment would increase to 7.85 kV/ha. Combines are underutilized
because they are used only for subsistence. The average age of mechanization is over
40 years, so replacement and purchase of new agricultural machinery is not possible.

Development of a self-propelled barries fruit harvester

AB  - This paper analyzes the problems related to the reconstruction of a semi-mounted
berry harvester into a self-propelled one specified for exploitation on smaller orchards. The
components of the self-propelled machine, their purpose and mutual functional connection are
described in details, which retained the principle of unilateral picking of half the row of bush
berries from its semi-mounted predecessor. Among the most important general design features,
the following stand out in particular: the drive of the harvester working components, which is
achieved by means of appropriate combinations of hydraulic and mechanical power transmissions,
which allows it to be highly adaptable to different working conditions on the terrain, and the
control device, which is designed to maintain the movement of the machine in the direction set
by the driver, without decreasing the safety and passability requirements of the machine itself.
In the technology of berry fruit production in the Republic of Serbia, the harvesting process is
still the basic limiting factor. Manual picking participates as much as 75% in total production
costs. The costs of mechanical harvesting are between 2.05 and 2.27 times lower in comparison
to manual picking, depending on whether the machine is a towed or self-propelled. The paper
also provides a comprehensive analysis of the energy parameters of work for both versions of
the harvester. The results indicate that power losses on rolling and slipping are lower in the
self-propelled version 10 and 40%, respectively, while in the semi-mounted version the power lost
on the climb is 60-70% lower compared to the self-propelled version. As the harvesting process
is still a limiting factor in berry fruit production, in addition to reducing costs by applying
mechanized solutions, one of the goals of the work is the optimization of applied technical
solutions for the same.

The influence of tillage system on the wheat sowing quality

AB  - In agricultural production, sowing is one of the most important agro-technical
operations that influence the quality of the product and yield. The crops sowing quality, including wheat, depends on properly prepared soil, that is, on the quality of soil cultivation.
However, despite well-executed soil cultivation, satisfactory results cannot always be achieved if
sowing is not done in an appropriate manner. The achieved depth of sowing affects the speed of
sprouting, rooting, resistance of plants to low temperature and drought, intensity of budding,
growth and development, and achieving the highest yield in certain conditions. In unfavorable
agro-technical conditions, and especially in the conditions of dry farming, optimal conditions for
high-quality sowing often cannot be ensured by applying the conventional method. Therefore,
new cultivation and sowing systems are being applied in order to perform high-quality sowing
in time. During the experiment, the influences of the tillage system and sowing method on the
sowing depth and the depth of the formation of the tillering nodes were registered. The results
of two-year study are given, where four methods of tillage were applied, namely conventional
tillage at depths of up to 25 cm and three reduced tillage methods at different depths. Reduced cultivation with a discc harrrow was done at a depths between 8 and 12 cm, and reduced
cultivation with rototiller was done at depths of 5-10 cm and 10-15 cm. During the tests, the
sowing depth and the depths of the tillering nodes were determined by direct measuring of the
knots positions of the analyzed plants. Furthermore, it was verified that depth of the knot
has a significant effect on the resistance of wheat to low temperatures during winter and lack
of moisture during summer droughts. Achieved results enable further optimization of applied
cultivation and sowing systems.

AB  - The occurrence of late spring frosts due to climate change causes great damage to plantation production worldwide. The main objective of the paper is to provide a comprehensive overview of the problem and to outline effective protective measures against late spring frosts. The nature of frost depends on regional, altitudinal, and geographic differences, but they all share a common problem: they remove heat, resulting in the freezing of new plant growth and flowers. Tissue freezing is affected by critical temperatures and the frost type, intensity, and duration. Protection against late spring frosts can be broadly divided into three categories: active, passive, and chemical measures. In the field of agricultural engineering, various techniques have been thoroughly researched, and their effectiveness has been confirmed by research. These include various sprinkler systems, different heating devices, and large-diameter fans. Conclusive findings are being made on the performance of these systems in sub-zero temperatures and their cost-effectiveness. Efficiency of alfalfa hay mowing machines under the dryland conditions

AB  - This paper presents the tests results of three types of hay mowing machines (later in text: mowers), namely a self-propelled oscillatory mower-conditioner and two tractor-mounted mowers with oscillatory and rotary blades, used to mow alfalfa grown under dry land conditions in the region of central Serbia during three seasons in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Although characterized by older design, they are still commonly used at smaller and medium size farms in this region. Therefore, their optimal exploitation parameters are still of large importance for hay quality and production efficiency and sustainability. The exploitation parameters of all three mowers generally increased linearly with higher speeds, having high R2 values (over 0,8), with rare exceptions. The regression coefficients b clearly showed that the self-propelled mower-conditioner achieved maximum increase in production performance (b = 0,3606), compared with the oscillatory (b = 0,1158) and rotary mowers (b = 0,1414). Mower design had a significant (p ≤ 0,001) effect on cutting and chopping losses, production performance, and specific fuel consumption (p ≤ 0,05). The tests confirmed the superiority of the self-propelled mower over the two mowers aggregated with tractors.

Energy Use and Economic Analysis of Fertilizer Use in Wheat and Sugar Beet Production in Serbia

AB  - Increased demand for food production, influenced by the constant growth of population, resulted in the agricultural production systems that are more energy and economy intensive. The aim of this study was to evaluate the energetic and economic efficiency of sugar beet and wheat production. Attention was given to the fertilizer usage and its share in energy consumption since it can amount to 50%. Data show that energy input in wheat production was 5.84 MJ.kg(-1) and in sugar beet it was 0.93 MJ.kg(-1). The highest share of energy input both in wheat and sugar beet was observed for fertilizers, 52.45% and 46.70%, respectively. Economic analysis has shown that wheat production is a low profitable production with a net return of only 20.69 USD.ha(-1), in comparison with sugar beet production with a net return of 513.53 USD.ha(-1). Costs related to the fertilizer use prevailed in total variable and total production costs. Economic analysis has also shown that the benefit-to-cost ratio was higher in sugar beet production (1.33) compared to wheat production (1.03). Furthermore, it was determined that these economic indicators were less sensitive in sugar beet production than in wheat production regarding the variation of fertilizer.

Equipment of family farms with agricultural mechanization in northwest of montenegro

AB  - The paper presents the results of testing equipment at family farms with agricultural machinery in Northwest Montenegro in municipalities Pljevlja, Žabljak, Kolašin and Mojkovac. In the mentioned municipalities, 123 agricultural farms in 65 villages were surveyed. The total area of available land on farms is 1612.08 ha, of which only 8.27% are cultivated and the rest meadows and pastures. The average area of family farms is 13.11 ha of used agricultural land, which is three times more than the average in Montenegro. Single-axle tractors with an engine power of 5-10 kW are represented by 16% of the total number of tractors. Family farms are not sufficiently equipped with two-axle tractors, because every other one has a tractor (0.51 tractors per farm). The tractors are average power of 30.12 kW. Energy equipments in the surveyed area, expressed through the nominal engine power of two-axle tractors per unit area, in averages at 1.18 kW / ha. There’s a shortage of tractors with engine power over 50 kW with rear and front wheel drive (double traction). Family farms are insufficiently equipped with attached machines (1.28 machines / farm). Ratios per one two-axle tractor are 2.49 attachments and 10.27 ha of used land. There is a lack of machines for vertical tillage and combined machines for pre-sowing soil preparation (chisel plows, seed drills, rotary harrows), as well a seeder for small grains and corn. In addition, there is a lack of machines for the preparation of silage and haylage in silage facilities (self-loading trailers and combines), as well roll presses, wrappers and catchers wrapped in foil.

Seasonal performance of shared silage combine harvesters in a machinery ring

AB  - The article presents the results of monitored operation of combines during the first season of their joint use for silage preparation in the northern part of Montenegro in machinery rings in the municipalities of Bijelo Polje, Berane and Pljevlja. The seasonal performance was determined for a total of 6 combines, of which only one was used for the preparation of silage from whole corn plants, one combine was used for preparing silage from cuts, and four combines were intended for direct mowing and ensiling of grass. The research included 7 machinery rings and 45 farmers, of which 11 (24.44%) shared harvesters for the preparation of silage from grass, alfalfa, a mixture of legumes, and grain. During the season, the shared harvesters worked 45 days and achieved an output of 23.95 ha and 687.75 t of silage. For the preparation of silage from whole corn plants in 2 machinery rings, a joint combine was used by 9 farmers. The total seasonal performance of the combine was 14.9 ha of harvested land, and 468.45 t of corn silage for 19 days of work. The extent of use of shared silage combine harvesters depends on plot size, area under fodder plants, organization of work, output of the combine, optimal dates for cultural operations, and weather conditions i.e. the number of days suitable for work, etc.
AB  - U radu su prikazani rezultati praćenja rada kombajna u toku prve sezone zajedničkog korišćenja u pripremanju silaže u Severnom delu Crne Gore u mašinskim prstenovima u opštinama Bijelo Polje, Berane i Pljevlja. Utvrđen je sezonski učinak ukupno 6 kombajna, od kojih je samo jedan za pripremanje silaže od cele biljke kukuruza, jedan kombajn je za siliranje silomase iz otkosa, a četiri kombajna su namenjena za direktno košenje i siliranje trava. Istraživanjima je obuhvaćeno 7 mašinskih prstenova i 45 farmera, od kojih je 11 (24,44%) zajednički koristilo kombajne za pripremu silaže od trava, lucerke, mešavine leguminoza i žita. U toku sezone zajednički korišćeni kombajni su radili 45 dana i ostvarili učinak od 23,95 ha i 687,75 t silo mase. Za pripremu silaže od cele biljke kukuruza u 2 mašinska prstena zajednički kombajn je koristilo 9 farmera. Ukupan sezonski površinski učinak kombajna je 14,9 ha, a maseni 468,45 t silaže kukuruza za 19 dana rada. abstract = "The article presents the results of monitored operation of combines during the first season of their joint use for silage preparation in the northern part of Montenegro in machinery rings in the municipalities of Bijelo Polje, Berane and Pljevlja. The seasonal performance was determined for a total of 6 combines, of which only one was used for the preparation of silage from whole corn plants, one combine was used for preparing silage from cuts, and four combines were intended for direct mowing and ensiling of grass. The research included 7 machinery rings and 45 farmers, of which 11 (24.44%) shared harvesters for the preparation of silage from grass, alfalfa, a mixture of legumes, and grain. During the season, the shared harvesters worked 45 days and achieved an output of 23.95 ha and 687.75 t of silage. For the preparation of silage from whole corn plants in 2 machinery rings, a joint combine was used by 9 farmers. The total seasonal performance of the combine was 14.9 ha of harvested land, and 468.45 t of corn silage for 19 days of work. The extent of use of shared silage combine harvesters depends on plot size, area under fodder plants, organization of work, output of the combine, optimal dates for cultural operations, and weather conditions i.e. the number of days suitable for work, etc., U radu su prikazani rezultati praćenja rada kombajna u toku prve sezone zajedničkog korišćenja u pripremanju silaže u Severnom delu Crne Gore u mašinskim prstenovima u opštinama Bijelo Polje, Berane i Pljevlja. Utvrđen je sezonski učinak ukupno 6 kombajna, od kojih je samo jedan za pripremanje silaže od cele biljke kukuruza, jedan kombajn je za siliranje silomase iz otkosa, a četiri kombajna su namenjena za direktno košenje i siliranje trava. Istraživanjima je obuhvaćeno 7 mašinskih prstenova i 45 farmera, od kojih je 11 (24,44%) zajednički koristilo kombajne za pripremu silaže od trava, lucerke, mešavine leguminoza i žita. U toku sezone zajednički korišćeni kombajni su radili 45 dana i ostvarili učinak od 23,95 ha i 687,75 t silo mase. Za pripremu silaže od cele biljke kukuruza u 2 mašinska prstena zajednički kombajn je koristilo 9 farmera. Ukupan sezonski površinski učinak kombajna je 14,9 ha, a maseni 468,45 t silaže kukuruza za 19 dana rada. Energy efficiency of the mineral fertilizer application in crop production

AB  - The efficiency of primary agricultural production is under constant analysis relative to energy, economy and ecology. Notwithstanding technological innovations in agricultural production, engineers and researchers are still seeking to create a production system that would render the primary agricultural production more energy efficient and ecologically sustainable. The purpose of this paper is to examine the energy consumption and efficiency of crop production with an emphasis on the importance of mineral fertilizers and their influence on the overall energy consumption. The results obtained indicate that mineral fertilizers claim a share of the total energy consumption in crop production ranging from 40.53 % in sunflowers to 55.19 % in maize. A statistically significant correlation was found between the energy inputs for fertilizers and crop yields. The regression analysis performed showed a positive correlation between the energy inputs for fertilizers and yields in all the crops considered, with the exception of wheat.
AB  - Efikasnost primarne poljoprivredne proizvodnje je predmet konstantnih analiza, kako energetskih tako i ekonomskih i ekoloških. Bez obzira na tehničko unapređenje proizvodnje, i dalje se traže proizvodni i tehnološko-tehnički sistemi koji će dati energetski efikasniju i ekološki održivu primarnu biljnu proizvodnju. U radu je prikazan bilans potrošnje energije u proizvodnji ratarskih kultura i skrenuta je pažnja na mineralna đubriva. Potrošnja energije je praćena u proizvodnji pšenice, kukuruza, semenskog suncokreta, šećerne repe i soje, tokom tri proizvodne sezone. Data je analiza potrošnje energije kroz sve postupke manipulacije mineralnim đubrivima do i od imanja pa do same aplikacije na parceli. Analizirana je zavisnost ukupnih energetskih inputa i prinosa i korelacija utroška mineralnog đubriva i outputa. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da mineralna đubriva, u energeskom bilansu ratarske proizvodnje, učestvuju sa 40,52% (semenski suncokret) pa do 55,19% (kukuruz). Najintenzivniji utrošak energije po jedinici površine zabeležen je u proizvodnji šećerne repe, 27848,9 MJ ha-1 dok je najmanje energije utrošeno kod soje, 11371,28 MJ ha-1. Proizvodnja šećerne repe je energetski najproduktivnija (1,58 kg MJ-1). Najviše energije, kod manipulacije i aplikacije đubriva, je utrošeno u proizvodnji pšenice, 14,54 MJ ha-1, a najmanje u proizvodnji soje, 3,23 MJ ha-1. Statistička analiza je pokazala da postoji korelacija između energije utrošene preko đubriva i samog prinosa ratarskih kultura. Funcionalna veza između inputa putem đubriva i prinosa je jaka u svim slučajevima osim kod soje. Regresione jednačine pokazuju pozitivnu zavisnost između prinosa i uložene energije preko đubriva, osim u slučaju pšenice i semenskog kukuruza.

AB  - In this paper the influence of greenhouse construction type on energy efficiency of tomato and lettuce production was analysed. Influence of greenhouse construction on energy consumption was estimated for four different double plastic covered greenhouses. Specific energy input, energy output-input ratio and energy productivity were estimated in the tomato and lettuce production. Results show that there are differences in energy efficiency regarding the production as well as regarding the type of construction. The average energy input in greenhouse tomato production was 24.13 MJ m(-2) while in lettuce it was 3.19 MJ m(-2). Results also showed that the type of greenhouse construction has a significant influence on the energy efficiency of the greenhouse tomato and lettuce production. Greenhouses with the higher specific volume, in both cases had the higher energy output, higher energy efficiency, higher energy ratios and higher energy productivity.

The decrease of wheat yield on the plot edges - headlands due to soil compaction

AB  - By executing appropriate agro-technical measures in the process of production of field crops (wheat), due to the numerous passages by machines, the soil gets compacted. In the family farms in Serbia, technological processes of production of field crops comprise specific agro-technical measures, starting with distribution of fertilizers, a multi-phase soil treatment system, followed by sowing, protecting, fertilization, harvesting, transporting of grain and plant residues. Thus, in the implementation of technological operations in the production of plant crops, the land area of the plot is exposed to 10 to 15 passages by tractor and self-propelled systems. A large number of passages by machines result in the soil compaction in the centre of the plot, and especially on the edges - headlands, which negatively affects the yield of cultivated crops and leads to physical and mechanical disturbance of the structure of the soil. The aim of the research was to determine the difference in yield, plant height, spike length, 1000 grain weight and volume grain wheat in the central part of the plot in relation to the headlands of the plot. For the purpose of this paper, a trial was set up with varieties of wheat Pobeda at three sites, and the wheat yield was measured on the inner part - plot centre and the edges - headlands of the plot, with more pronounced soil compaction. During the research, in addition to the yield, the following were determined: the difference in plant height, spike length, 1000 grain weight and volume (hectolitre) grain weight in the middle plot and headlands. The yield of wheat on the inner part of the plot at all locations was above 44% to 69.06% to yield realized on the headlands. The average plant height was higher by 4.76% to 13.75%, and the spike length from 6.11% to 15.93% in the middle of the plot relative to the edges - headlands. On the inner part of the plot the weight of 1000 grains and volume weight were lower compared to the values of these properties on the edges.

AB  - In this paper, two different approaches in analyzing the tractor lifetime assessment are presented. The first one is based on reliability theory and the other one is based on the relevant experience that was implemented in the ASABE standards. In this way, the dependence of tractor reliability and lifetime on working conditions is presented through two models verified in the paper. Tractors from two different producers were analyzed. Experimental data were collected during the tractor working engagement at the fields of Agricultural Corporation Belgrade (ACB). Analyzing the obtained data it is possible to find the mismanagement in the tractor usage. Removing them it is possible to extend the period of tractor utilization. In this way the overall organization of tractor- machinery system on a farm can significantly be improved.

The first one is based on reliability theory and the other one is based on the relevant experience that was implemented in the ASABE standards. In this way, the dependence of tractor reliability and lifetime on working conditions is presented through two models verified in the paper. Tractors from two different producers were analyzed. Experimental data were collected during the tractor working engagement at the fields of Agricultural Corporation Belgrade (ACB). Analyzing the obtained data it is possible to find the mismanagement in the tractor usage. Removing them it is possible to extend the period of tractor utilization. In this way the overall organization of tractor- machinery system on a farm can significantly be improved.",

AB  - Soya (Glycine) is one of the most important crop plant. It produces products for human and domestic animals and processing industry. It is an important protein and oil plant. The soybean seeds contain more proteins (35-50%) and fats (17-24%) and fewer carbohydrates than others leguminous plants. Research of the Claas Lexion 430 combine harvester in a mercantile soybeans harvest shown that losses in uncut pods were in all measurements above tolerant 2% and ranged from 2.46% to 2.94%. Losses on the thresher in the free grain were ranged from 0.18% to 0.34% on average to 0.26%, which is satisfactory in relation to the given 0.3%. The average losses in the unthreshedpods are 0.35%, which is more than the projected level, but for the conditions of harvesting it can be accepted as satisfactory, due to the large percentage of weeds in the field.
AB  - Soja (Glycine) je jedna od najvažnijih ratarskih kultura, od koje se dobijaju proizvodi važni u ishrani ljudi i domaćih životinja i za preradu u industriji. Soja je važan izvor belančevina i ulja. Seme soje sadrži više proteina (35-50%) i masti (17-24%), a manje ugljenih hidrata od ostalih mahunastih biljaka. Kombajn Claas Lexion 430 posle eksploatacionih istraživanja ima u žetvi merkantilne soje gubitke u neodrezanim mahunama u svim merenjima iznad tolerantnih 2%. Ovi gubici su bili u intervalu od 2,46 % do 2,94 %. Kombajn Claas Lexion 430 na vršalici ima gubitke u slobodnom zrnu koji su varirali od 0,18% do 0,34 % (proseku 0,26%), što je zadovoljavajuće u odnosu na zadatu granicu od 0,3 %. Prosečni gubici u neovršenim mahunama su 0,35 %, što je više od projektovanog nivoa, ali se za uslove ubiranja mogu prihvatiti kao zadovoljavajući, iz razloga značajne pojave zakorovljenosti parcele.

AB  - The paper analyzes the possibility and the needs for the use of specific types of robots (mini unmanned aircraft with different designs and the designation of UAVs) and the possibility of using in agriculture (agrodrone). The year 2015 was proclaimed (Fortune Magazine, 2016) as the year of increasing and widespread use of UAVs in various areas of human activity, especially in agriculture and forestry (75% of use). This is important for large farm areas, where UAV has many useful functions and a very cost-effective commercial application. Today, the needs for UAVs have increased sharply with various opportunities for both civilian and military needs. There is also a significant interest in the development of new drones that can autonomously fly in different environments and locations and can perform various missions and tasks. Over the past decade, a wide range of applications for drones has gained the significance that led to the discovery of various types of unmanned UAVs of different sizes and weights. In this review, the classification of UAVs ranging based on a detailed overview of the development of the drone industry in recent years, this paper demonstrates the evolution of drones and differents application technologies. Of course, this development is very advanced and revolutionary, as well as the development of mobile and smart phones and the Internet, which will open the way for many users to participate in defining the future of UAV implementation. LIVONA Company, Belgrade, Serbia (and Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture in Belgrade, in tehnical cooperation) has a study and plans on the implementation of the model micro drone EBee SQ Livona RTK in the future general plans for inspection of protection Soils of territory Minicipality of Stara Pazova (351 km2), and agricultural company Napredak, and exspecially plans for soils of agriculture of R. Serbia. VEKOM GeoCompany from Belgrade, (in cooperation with Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture in Belgrade), has a study and plans on the implementation of the model of the drone Aibot KX6 model, in the future of application of agricultural soils of region Open pit Kolubara for area from app. 600 km2 and the other soils of Region). Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture in Belgrade, in cooperation with Municipality of Ub, has a study and plans on the implementation of the model micro drone Hubsan H109S X4 PRO in the future plans general inspection of protection Soils and Waters of territory of Municipality Ub (456 km2).
AB  - U radu su analizirane mogućnosti i potrebe upotrebe specifičnih vrsta robota (mini bespilotnih letelica sa različitim dizajnom, o značane kao UAV) i način korištenja u poljoprivredi (agrodron). Časopis Fortune je 2015.godinu proglasio kao godinu sve većeg i široko rasprostranjene upotrbe UAV letelica, u različitim oblastima ljudske delatnosti, posebno u poljoprivredi i šumarstvu (75% upotrebe). Ovo je naročito važno za velike farme i oblasti pod šumama, gde UAV ima mnogo korisnih funkcija i veoma isplative komercijalne aplikacije. Danas, potrebe za UAV imaju nagli porast sa različitim mogućnostima kako za civilne tako i za vojne potrebe. Takođe postoji značajan interes za razvoj novih bespilotnih letelica koji mogu autonomno leteti u različitim okruženjima i lokacijama i obaviti različite misije i zadatke. Tokom protekle decenije XXI veka, širok spektar aplikacija za bespilotne letelice je dobio značaj koji je doveo do konstrukcija različitih tipova bespilotnih UAV, različitih veličina i težina i svakako namene. Naravno , tehnološki razvoj kod dron sistema je veoma tehničko -tehnološki napredan i revolucionaran, uz razvoj mobilnih i pametnih (android) telefona i interneta, brzo otvora puteve i mogućnosti za mnoge korisnike u definisanju nove budućnosti implementacije UAV različitim oblastima primene. Kompanija Livona d.o.o., Beograd i Institut za poljoprivrednu tehniku, Poljoprivredni fakultet u Beogradu, u tehničkoj saradnji imaju planove o implementaciji modela mikro drona EBee SK Livona RTK u narednim generalnim planovima za inspekciju, zaštitu i korišćenje poljoprivrednih zemljišta Republike Srbije, i posebno teritorije Opštine Stara Pazova (351 km2), gde je posebno mesto poljoprivrednog preduzeća Napredak a.d. The impacts of the tractor working regime on the environment

AB  - The paper presents and analyzes the results of the exhaust emission measurement, depending on the tractor operating regime. The goal of this paper was to analyze the influence of the operating regime, that is, two different values of the engine crankshaft rotation speed and two different levels of transmission, to the exhaust emission level. In addition, the paper presents a brief overview of the technical solutions for the subsequent treatment of exhaust gases. The results shown allow comparison of the working regimes of the tested tractor models YTO X1204 and Foton 904. The research also shows how many operators with technical limitations on the tractor, knowledge and techniques of using the machine can contribute to a lower level of exhaust emissions (CO2, NO, NO2, NOX, SO2, O2) of built-in engines in tractors.
AB  - U radu su prikazani i analizirani rezultati merenja izduvne emisije, u zavisnosti od radnog režima traktora. Cilj rada je analiza uticaja radnog režima, odnosno dve različite vrednosti broja obrtaja kolenastog vratila motora traktora i dva različita stepena prenosa, na nivo izduvne emisije. Pored toga rad prikazuje i kratak pregled tehničkih rešenja naknadnog tretmana izduvnih gasova. Prikazani rezultati omogućuju poređenje radnih režima ispitivanih modela traktora 'YTO X1204' i 'Foton 904'. Istraživanje takođe pokazuje koliko rukovaoci - operateri na traktorima uz tehnička ograničenja traktora, znanjem i tehnikom upotrebe mašine mogu doprineti nižem stepenu izduvne emisije gasova (CO2, NO, NO2, NOX, SO2, O2) ugrađenih motora u traktore.

The research also shows how many operators with technical limitations on the tractor, knowledge and techniques of using the machine can contribute to a lower level of exhaust emissions (CO2, NO, NO2, NOX, SO2, O2) of built-in engines in tractors., U radu su prikazani i analizirani rezultati merenja izduvne emisije, u zavisnosti od radnog režima traktora. Cilj rada je analiza uticaja radnog režima, odnosno dve različite vrednosti broja obrtaja kolenastog vratila motora traktora i dva različita stepena prenosa, na nivo izduvne emisije. Pored toga rad prikazuje i kratak pregled tehničkih rešenja naknadnog tretmana izduvnih gasova. Prikazani rezultati omogućuju poređenje radnih režima ispitivanih modela traktora 'YTO X1204' i 'Foton 904'. Istraživanje takođe pokazuje koliko rukovaoci - operateri na traktorima uz tehnička ograničenja traktora, znanjem i tehnikom upotrebe mašine mogu doprineti nižem stepenu izduvne emisije gasova (CO2, NO, NO2, NOX, SO2, O2) ugrađenih motora u traktore.",

AB  - The analysis of the factors that show decisive influence on the tractors stability and the possible overturning, should preventively indicate the possible improvements of the tractor construction, in order to increase the tractor's and operator's safety. The purpose of this paper is to check the static angles of the longitudinal and lateral tractor stability, using the different methods that check the tractor stability up to the to the turnover limit. The process is based on the tractor longitudinal and lateral tilting and measurement of the reference values of the wheels heights with respect to the base. The same angles can be obtained by various analytical and numerical methods based on the Theoretical mechanics. This paper suggests on the importance of empirical data, because they are the basis for further stability analysis of the tractors, other self-propelled agricultural machines.
AB  - Analiza faktora koji pokazuju odlučujuće uticaje na stabilnost i moguća prevrtanja traktora treba preventivno da ukaže na područja njihove efiksne i sigurne primene, kao i na glavne pravce poboljšanja konstrukcije traktora radi povećanja bezbednosti traktora i rukovaoca. Cilj ovog rada predstavlja provera statičkih uglova podužne i poprečne stabilnosti traktora, primenom različitih pristupa, tako što se isti dovodi do granice prevrtanja. Sam proces se zasniva na podužnom i bočnom podizanju traktora, uz stalno merenje referentnih vrednosti kota oslonih tačaka točkova u odnosu na podlogu. Isti uglovi se mogu proceniti i primenom analitičkih i numeričkih metoda, zasnovanih na principima teorijske mehanike. Rad ukazuje i na značaj empirijskih podataka, jer su oni osnova za sve dalje analize stabilnosti traktora I drugih samohodnih poljoprivrednih mašina.

Sensitivity of contribution margin in milk production on family farms

AB  - Milk production in Serbia is characterized by small surface of production and a large number of small family farms. For rural areas where this production is mostly carried out, economic profitability of production contributes to becoming a family business. This study refers to milk family farms of smaller and medium economic and production capacity, for which the economic analysis in the period of three years was applied and production results were calculated. Applying the calculation method the total revenues and total costs, and contribution margins per cow and per liter of produced milk were computed. By comparing the results obtained on farms A and B, conclusions were drawn, and the sensitivity of contribution margins to change of the given parameters (purchase prices of milk and milk produced per cow) was determined by sensitivity analysis. The stability in production is realized by achieving higher contribution margins with satisfactory milk yield per cow and quality milk, as well acceptable purchase prices of milk.

Spinach production conditions in the different types of greenhouse constructions

AB  - Spinach is very common in the human nutrition due to its high nutritive value. It is commonly grown in the greenhouses. In region of Serbia, spinach is commonly grown in the tunnel structure greenhouses, covered with single or double PE folia without additional heating. The aim of the research was to see if different greenhouse construction types influence the microclimatic parameters in the spinach production and to see if choosing the certain greenhouse construction type can improve an overall production conditions resulting in higher spinach yield, lower energy consumption and higher energy productivity. Spinach production was tracked in the three different types of greenhouses. The round-shaped greenhouse has its base diameter of 7 m while tunnel type greenhouse was 5.5 m wide and 24 m long. Single span greenhouse was 10 m wide and 50 m long. All greenhouses were covered with PE UV IR 180 mu m folia. Results show that production conditions are dependent on type of greenhouse construction. During the winter spinach production solar radiation energy losses in the tunnel structure were 29.38% while the round-shaped greenhouse was losing 19.51% of the solar radiation energy. Losses in the single-span greenhouse were 12% in the morning hours and 43% during the day. During the day air temperatures in the greenhouses were higher. In the round-shaped and tunnel structure greenhouse this temperature difference lower than 1 degrees C and are not considered important for the plants. In the case of single-span greenhouse inside-outside differences were 2.52 degrees C up to 16.26 degrees C.

AB  - The structure of the milk supply market depends on processing capacities in Serbia, which are more oriented to the production of dairy products pasteurized and sterilized milk and fermented dairy products (yoghurt, cream, sour milk, etc.), while the production of solid dairy products (cheeses, cream, spreads, butter, powdered milk, etc.) is significantly lower. Taking into consideration the current situation in Serbia regarding the primary production, purchase and processing of milk, an overview is given of the foreign trade balance of milk and dairy products and their participation in exports and imports. The analysis of the foreign trade of milk and dairy products for the period 2007- 2017 highlights products that are exported and have stable export tendencies, as well as scarce products which are imported and have a markedly negative balance sheet in the observed period. We also analyzed major export-import destinations of Serbia for the trade exchange of milk and dairy products, which primarily refers to the CEFTA countries, the European Union and the Russian Federation.
AB  - Struktura tržišne ponude mleka zavisi od preradnih kapaciteta u Srbiji, koji su više orijentisani na proizvodnju mlečnih proizvoda pasterizovanog i sterilizovanog mleka i fermentisanih mlečnih proizvoda (jogurt, pavlaka, kiselo mleko itd.) dok je proizvodnja čvrstih mlečnih proizvoda (sirevi, pavlake, namazi, maslac, mleko u prahu itd.) značajno manja. Uzimajući u obzir aktuelno stanje u Srbiji u primarnoj proizvodnji, otkupu i preradi mleka, dat je kratak osvrt na spoljnotrgovinski bilans mleka i mlečnih proizvoda i njihovo učešće u izvozu i uvozu. Analizom spoljnotrgovinske razmene mleka i proizvoda za posmatrani period 2007-2017. godine ukazano je na proizvode koji se izvoze i imaju stabilne izvozne tendencije, kao i na deficitarne proizvode koji se uvoze i imaju izražene negativne bilanse u posmatranom periodu. Analizirane su i najvažnije izvozno- uvozne destinacije sa kojima Srbija ostvaruje trgovinsku razmenu za mleko i mlečne proizvode, pri čemu se to prvenstveno odnosi na zemlje CEFTA grupe, Evropske unije i Rusku Federaciju.

Effects of the application system on the physical and mechanical properties of mineral fertilizers

AB  - Mineral fertilizers have a pivotal role in contemporary agricultural production, especially when seeking to exploit the full biological potential of crops. This paper presents the results of a three-year experiment on the distribution uniformity of different mineral fertilizer application systems. One of the objectives in this study was to define the physical and mechanical properties of four different types of mineral fertilizers and examine their changes during storage, transportation and application. A total of four fertilizers were taken into account: UREA, CAN, MAP and NP. The main physical properties, i.e. particle size, particle size distribution, friction coefficient, angle of repose and particle resistance, were analyzed on samples collected from the storage, the trailer (prior to application) and the field (after application). The results obtained show that fertilizers with a particle size distribution of 3.3 to 4.75 mm exhibit higher values of the angle of repose, friction and resistance. The lowest value of the angle of friction (17.53 0) was observed in the UREA fertilizer after application, whereas the highest angle of friction (24.37 0) was measured in the MAP fertilizer obtained from the storage. The values of the static repose angle varied depending on the fertilizer type and the place of sampling (storage, trailer or field). The lowest value of the static repose angle (30.34 0) was measured in the MAP fertilizer after application, whereas the highest static repose angle (36.91 0) was measured in the NP fertilizer from the storage. The NP fertilizer exhibited the highest value of the dynamic friction angle, whereas the lowest value of the dynamic friction angle was calculated for the UREA fertilizer. AB  - Savremena poljoprivredna proizvodnja se ne može zamisliti bez primene đubriva, posebno sa aspekta boljeg korišćenja biološkog potencijala rodnosti gajenih biljaka. U radu je prikazan deo rezultata trogodišnjih ispitivanja tehničko-tehnološkog sistema aplikacije mineralnih đubriva različitim tipovima centrifugalnih rasipača. Jedan od ciljeva istraživanja bio je i određivanje fizičko-mehaničkih osobina različitih tipova mineralnih đubriva, njihovih promena tokom samog procesa aplikacije i njihovog uticaja na kvalitet same aplikacije. U istraživanje su uključena četiri tipa mineralnih đubriva i to UREA, KAN, MAP i NP. Dobijeni rezultati tokom ispitivanja fizičko-mehaničkih osobina primenjivanih mineralnih đubriva pokazuju da đubriva koja imaju najveći procenat granula prečnika između 3,3 mm i 4,75 mm imaju najveće uglove trenja i nasipanja, kao i dobru otpornost prema lomu granule. Vrednosti ugla trenja su značajno varirale u zavisnosti od tipa đubriva i mesta uzorkovanja. Najniža vrednost, 17,53o je zabeležena kod UREE nakon aplikacije a najviša, 24,37o kod đubriva MAP iz skladišta na imanju. Vrednosti statičkog ugla nasipanja su takođe statistički značajno varirale u zavisnosti od tipa đubriva i mesta uzorkovanja. Najniža vrednost, 30,34o, je zabeležena kod đubriva MAP nakon aplikacije a najviša, 36,91o, je zabeležena kod NP đubirva iz skladišta. NP đubrivo je pokazalo i najviše vrednosti dinamičkog ulga trenja. Najniže vrednosti ovog parametra, 23,35o, imalo je đubrivo UREA. Čvrstoća granula je varirala u zavisnosti od tipa đubriva i od mesta uzorkovanja. Najviše vrednosti su zabeležene kod đubriva NP u svim fazama manipulacije dok su najniže vrednosti zabeležene kod đubriva UREA.

abstract = "Mineral fertilizers have a pivotal role in contemporary agricultural production, especially when seeking to exploit the full biological potential of crops. This paper presents the results of a three-year experiment on the distribution uniformity of different mineral fertilizer application systems. One of the objectives in this study was to define the physical and mechanical properties of four different types of mineral fertilizers and examine their changes during storage, transportation and application. A total of four fertilizers were taken into account: UREA, CAN, MAP and NP. The main physical properties, i.e. particle size, particle size distribution, friction coefficient, angle of repose and particle resistance, were analyzed on samples collected from the storage, the trailer (prior to application) and the field (after application). The results obtained show that fertilizers with a particle size distribution of 3.3 to 4.75 mm exhibit higher values of the angle of repose, friction and resistance. The lowest value of the angle of friction (17.53 0) was observed in the UREA fertilizer after application, whereas the highest angle of friction (24.37 0) was measured in the MAP fertilizer obtained from the storage. The values of the static repose angle varied depending on the fertilizer type and the place of sampling (storage, trailer or field). The lowest value of the static repose angle (30.34 0) was measured in the MAP fertilizer after application, whereas the highest static repose angle (36.91 0) was measured in the NP fertilizer from the storage. The NP fertilizer exhibited the highest value of the dynamic friction angle, whereas the lowest value of the dynamic friction angle was calculated for the UREA fertilizer. AB  - Problems related to self-propelled harvester stability during mechanized berry fruits harvesting at sloped terrains are analysed in this manuscript. The paper also presents an automatic leveling system of the raspberry and blackberry harvester. Low cost, simple design, reliability and minimized maintenance make it very suitable for berryfruits harvesters applied on terrains distant from service centres. The whole system, as well as its components, is designed and manufactured in Serbia.
AB  - U radu su analizirani problemi vezani za stabilnost samohodnog berača pri mehanizovanoj berbi jagodastog voća na nagnutim terenima. Prikazano je rešenje automatske nivelacije berača plodova maline i kupine. Zahvaljujući niskoj ceni, jednostavnosti konstrukcije, visokoj pouzdanosti, uprošćenom i minimalizovanom održavanju, rešenje je posebno pogodno za manje zasade udaljene od servisnih centara. Opisane su komponente sistema, njihova namena i međusobna funkcionalna povezanost. Od posebnog značaja su činjenice da je sistem nivelacije, kao i njegove komponente, projektovan i proizvedene u našoj zemlji.

Microclimatic parameters during raspberries production in tunnel type greenhouse

AB  - Agricultural production in greenhouse represents the most intensive form of agricultural production. This is a very complex production system that needs to be well maintained and with great attention. The aim of this paper is to present preliminary research results on raspberry production in greenhouse and in the open field regarding the microclimatic production conditions. In this paper, results on microclimatic production conditions in the tunnel structure greenhouse and in the open filed are presented. The raspberry variety Heritage (Rubus Heritage) was grown in the 7 x 24 m tunnel greenhouse covered with the single PE folia and in the open filed. Results show that production conditions in the greenhouse enable prolonged harvesting (September, October) till the first frosts. Air temperature, air relative humidity and solar radiation were measured and analyzed. Temperature inside the greenhouse varied along the greenhouse and during the day but the variations were not significant enabling the uniform production conditions during the day. Air relative humidity did not show significant variation concerning the open field and greenhouse production. Solar radiation showed high losses in the morning hours. Only 25.82 % of solar energy was available to the plants.
