Equipment of family farms with agricultural mechanization in northwest of montenegro

AB  - The paper presents the results of testing equipment at family farms with agricultural machinery in Northwest Montenegro in municipalities Pljevlja, Žabljak, Kolašin and Mojkovac. In the mentioned municipalities, 123 agricultural farms in 65 villages were surveyed. The total area of available land on farms is 1612.08 ha, of which only 8.27% are cultivated and the rest meadows and pastures. The average area of family farms is 13.11 ha of used agricultural land, which is three times more than the average in Montenegro. Single-axle tractors with an engine power of 5-10 kW are represented by 16% of the total number of tractors. Family farms are not sufficiently equipped with two-axle tractors, because every other one has a tractor (0.51 tractors per farm). The tractors are average power of 30.12 kW. Energy equipments in the surveyed area, expressed through the nominal engine power of two-axle tractors per unit area, in averages at 1.18 kW / ha. There’s a shortage of tractors with engine power over 50 kW with rear and front wheel drive (double traction). Family farms are insufficiently equipped with attached machines (1.28 machines / farm). Ratios per one two-axle tractor are 2.49 attachments and 10.27 ha of used land. There is a lack of machines for vertical tillage and combined machines for pre-sowing soil preparation (chisel plows, seed drills, rotary harrows), as well a seeder for small grains and corn. In addition, there is a lack of machines for the preparation of silage and haylage in silage facilities (self-loading trailers and combines), as well roll presses, wrappers and catchers wrapped in foil.

Seasonal performance of shared silage combine harvesters in a machinery ring

AB  - The article presents the results of monitored operation of combines during the first season of their joint use for silage preparation in the northern part of Montenegro in machinery rings in the municipalities of Bijelo Polje, Berane and Pljevlja. The seasonal performance was determined for a total of 6 combines, of which only one was used for the preparation of silage from whole corn plants, one combine was used for preparing silage from cuts, and four combines were intended for direct mowing and ensiling of grass. The research included 7 machinery rings and 45 farmers, of which 11 (24.44%) shared harvesters for the preparation of silage from grass, alfalfa, a mixture of legumes, and grain. During the season, the shared harvesters worked 45 days and achieved an output of 23.95 ha and 687.75 t of silage. For the preparation of silage from whole corn plants in 2 machinery rings, a joint combine was used by 9 farmers. The total seasonal performance of the combine was 14.9 ha of harvested land, and 468.45 t of corn silage for 19 days of work. The extent of use of shared silage combine harvesters depends on plot size, area under fodder plants, organization of work, output of the combine, optimal dates for cultural operations, and weather conditions i.e. the number of days suitable for work, etc.
AB  - U radu su prikazani rezultati praćenja rada kombajna u toku prve sezone zajedničkog korišćenja u pripremanju silaže u Severnom delu Crne Gore u mašinskim prstenovima u opštinama Bijelo Polje, Berane i Pljevlja. Utvrđen je sezonski učinak ukupno 6 kombajna, od kojih je samo jedan za pripremanje silaže od cele biljke kukuruza, jedan kombajn je za siliranje silomase iz otkosa, a četiri kombajna su namenjena za direktno košenje i siliranje trava. Istraživanjima je obuhvaćeno 7 mašinskih prstenova i 45 farmera, od kojih je 11 (24,44%) zajednički koristilo kombajne za pripremu silaže od trava, lucerke, mešavine leguminoza i žita. U toku sezone zajednički korišćeni kombajni su radili 45 dana i ostvarili učinak od 23,95 ha i 687,75 t silo mase. Za pripremu silaže od cele biljke kukuruza u 2 mašinska prstena zajednički kombajn je koristilo 9 farmera. Ukupan sezonski površinski učinak kombajna je 14,9 ha, a maseni 468,45 t silaže kukuruza za 19 dana rada. Obim korišćenja zajedničkih kombajna za silažu zavisi od veličine parcele, površina pod krmnim biljem, organizacije rada, eksploatacionog učinka kombajna, optimalnih agrotehničkih rokova, vremenskih uslova, odnosno broja pogodnih dana za rad i dr.

Results of the examination of field crop sprayers in the conditions of central Serbia

AB  - Proper protection and quality work of sprayer enable the optimization of the pesticide application and reduces the harmful effects on the environment and human health. The efficiency of the implemented protection is reflected in several aspects, and one of the most important is the quality of the work of sprayers, that is, the equality of pesticides distribution with nozzles. The paper presents an analysis and comparison of test results in the framework of the inspection of field crop sprayers in the exploitation conditions of central Serbia, in accordance with European standards EN 13790, which prescribes methods and equipment for inspection. The aim of the research was to determine the quality of the work of chests and the uniformity of the flow of various sprays, depending on the defined parameters. The test equipment used 'AAMSSALVARANI' measuring equipment, and the flow of the nozzles was measured by the SN S001 individual nozzles. On the basis of the obtained results, it was concluded that the average values of the flow of the sprayer amounted to 0.954 l min-1 (typ A), 1.169 l min-1 (typ B), or until 1.190 l min-1 (sprayer typ C), where the coefficient of variation was in the range 12.24% to 29.49%.
AB  - Pravilnom zaštitom i kvalitetnim radom prskalica omogućuje se optimizacija aplikacije pesticida i smanjuje štetni uticaj na životnu sredinu i zdravlje ljudi. Efikasnost izvedene zaštite ogleda se sa više aspekata a jedan od najznačajnijih je kvalitet rada prskalica, odnosno uniformnost distribucije pesticida rasprskivačima. Rad predstavlja analizu i upoređenje rezultata ispitivanja u sklopu inspekcijske kontrole ratarskih prskalica u eksploatacionim uslovima centralne Srbije, u skladu sa evropskim normama EN 13790 koji propisuje metode i opremu za obavljanje inspekcije. Cilj istraživanja je bio da se utvrdi kvalitet rada prsaklica i uniformnost protoka različitih rasprskivača u zavisnosti od definisanih parametara. Za ispitivanje je korišćena merna oprema 'AAMSSALVARANI', a protok rasprskivača je meren pomoću ispitivača pojedinačnih rasprskivača SN S001. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata zaključeno je da su prosečne vrednosti protoka rasprskivača iznosile 0,954 l min-1 (tip A), 1,169 l min-1 (tip B), odnosno 1,190 l min-1 (tip C), pri čemu je koeficijent varijacije bio u rasponu 12,24% do 29,49%.

Effects of the origin of potato planting material on morphological characteristics of seed tubers

AB  - The effects of the origin of planting material on the mophological characteristics of seed tubers of the Kondor potato cultivar (Solanum tuberosum L.) were investigated within a two-year study (2009-2010). The production conditions of potato planting material at lower altitudes (700 m.a.s.l.) contributed to producing seed tubers of greater physiological age, resulting consequently in a significantly lower average length of sprouts per tuber 1.38 mm, or 13.49 % less, in comparison with the length of sprouts per tuber determined in tubers originating from 1300 m.a.s.l. Using the Kondor potato cultivar originating from 700 m.a.s.l. as a planting material (which forms a larger number of sprouts per tuber), a higher number of primary stems per plant could be expected, which would be beneficial to seed production (a greater number of small tubers). Provided the Kondor potato cultivar originating from 1300 m.a.s.l. is used as a planting material (which forms a smaller number of sprouts per tuber and potentially a smaller number of stems per plant), the seed tubers should be used in early potato production and for commercial purposes (a small number of large tubers).
AB  - Dvogodišnja ispitivanja uticaja porekla sadnog materijala krompira (Solanum tuberosum L), na morfološke osobine semenske krtole sorte Kondor, izvedena su tokom 2009. i 2010. godine. Priprema sadnog materijala paralelnom proizvodnjom semenskog krompira izvedena je tokom 2009. i 2010. godine na dva lokaliteta različite nadmorske visine: Kotraž-Jelica 700 m nv. i Sjenica-Pešter 1300 m nv. Uslovi proizvodnje sadnog materijala krtola poreklom sa niže nadmorske visine (700 m nv.) doprineli su da semenske krtole budu veće fiziološke starosti i da kao posledica toga obrazuju vrlo značajno manju dužinu klica po krtoli, za 1,38 mm, ili za 13,49% manju, u odnosu na dužinu klica po krtoli utvrđenu na krtolama poreklom sa 1300 m nv. Sadni materijal poreklom sa manje nadmorske visine 700 m nv. je u obe godine istraživanja obrazovao značajno veći broj listova po krtoli, u odnosu na prosečan broj listova po krtoli ustanovljen kod krtola poreklom sa veće nadmorske visine 1300 m nv. Upotrebom sadnog materijala sorte Kondor poreklom sa 700 m nv. koji obrazuje veći broj klica po krtoli, i samim tim može se očekivati i veći broj primarnih stabala po biljci, što bi odgovaralo u semenskoj proizvodnji (veći broj sitnih krtola). Ukoliko se koristi sadni materijal sorte Kondor poreklom sa 1300 m nv. koji formira manji broj klica po krtoli i potencijalno obrazuje manji broj glavnih stabala po biljci, treba upotrebiti u ranoj proizvodnji krompira i za merkantilnu proizvodnju (mali broj krupnh krtola).

Using the Kondor potato cultivar originating from 700 m.a.s.l. as a planting material (which forms a larger number of sprouts per tuber), a higher number of primary stems per plant could be expected, which would be beneficial to seed production (a greater number of small tubers). Provided the Kondor potato cultivar originating from 1300 m.a.s.l. is used as a planting material (which forms a smaller number of sprouts per tuber and potentially a smaller number of stems per plant), the seed tubers should be used in early potato production and for commercial purposes (a small number of large tubers)., Dvogodišnja ispitivanja uticaja porekla sadnog materijala krompira (Solanum tuberosum L), na morfološke osobine semenske krtole sorte Kondor, izvedena su tokom 2009. i 2010. godine. Priprema sadnog materijala paralelnom proizvodnjom semenskog krompira izvedena je tokom 2009. i 2010. godine na dva lokaliteta različite nadmorske visine: Kotraž-Jelica 700 m nv. i Sjenica-Pešter 1300 m nv. Uslovi proizvodnje sadnog materijala krtola poreklom sa niže nadmorske visine (700 m nv.) doprineli su da semenske krtole budu veće fiziološke starosti i da kao posledica toga obrazuju vrlo značajno manju dužinu klica po krtoli, za 1,38 mm, ili za 13,49% manju, u odnosu na dužinu klica po krtoli utvrđenu na krtolama poreklom sa 1300 m nv. Sadni materijal poreklom sa manje nadmorske visine 700 m nv. je u obe godine istraživanja obrazovao značajno veći broj listova po krtoli, u odnosu na prosečan broj listova po krtoli ustanovljen kod krtola poreklom sa veće nadmorske visine 1300 m nv. Upotrebom sadnog materijala sorte Kondor poreklom sa 700 m nv. koji obrazuje veći broj klica po krtoli, i samim tim može se očekivati i veći broj primarnih stabala po biljci, što bi odgovaralo u semenskoj proizvodnji (veći broj sitnih krtola). Ukoliko se koristi sadni materijal sorte Kondor poreklom sa 1300 m nv. koji formira manji broj klica po krtoli i potencijalno obrazuje manji broj glavnih stabala po biljci, treba upotrebiti u ranoj proizvodnji krompira i za merkantilnu proizvodnju (mali broj krupnh krtola).",

AB  - In this study, the impact of adding Benural S (commercial supplement on urea basis, in the amount of 1 and 2%) on the parameters of the chemical composition and quality of corn silage was examined. The experiment was planned according to the model of random plan, with three treatments (CS- CONTROL - control corn silage, CS+1% NPN - corn silage supplemented with 1% Benural-S, CS+2 % NPN - corn silage supplemented with 2 % Benural-S) and three replicates per treatment. Statistical analysis of the results showed a significant increase in the amount of dry matter, crude protein, ammonia and soluble nitrogen, NFE and ash, as well as the pH, when adding Benural S. The most significant changes were in the amount of crude proteins, which was increased by 37.5% when adding 1% S Benural, and 69.8 % when adding 2 % Benural S. Increase of pH and the share of ammonia nitrogen in the treatment with 2 % Benural-S led, according to the method by Weissbach, to diminishing of the quality of silage by one class. When balancing the ration for cows, the significantly increased amount of soluble proteins should be take into account, which are closely correlated with the degree of protein degradation.
AB  - U radu je ispitivan uticaj dodavanja Benurala S (komercijalnog dodatka na bazi uree, u količini 1 i 2%) na parametre hemijskog sastava i kvaliteta silaže kukuruza. Eksperiment je planiran po modelu slučajnog plana, sa tri tretmana (CS-CONTROL - kontrolna silaža kukuruza; CS+1% NPN - kukuruzna silaža sa dodatkom 1% Benurala-S; CS+2% NPN - kukuruzna silaža sa dodatkom 2% Benurala-S) i u tri ponavljanja po tretmanu. Statističkom obradom rezultata utvrđeno je signifikantno povećanje količine suve materije, sirovih proteina, amonijačnog i rastvorljivog azota, BEM- a i pepela, kao i pH vrednosti, pri dodavanju Benurala S. Najznačajnije su promene u količini sirovih proteina, koja je povećana za 37,5% pri dodavanju 1% Benurala S, odnosno za 69,8% pri dodavanju 2% Benurala S. Povećanje pH vrednosti i udela amonijačnog azota u tretmanu sa 2% Benurala S dovelo je prema Weissbach-ovoj metodi do smanjenja kvaliteta silaže za jednu klasu. Pri balansiranju obroka za krave treba voditi računa o značajno povećanoj količini rastvorljivih proteina, koji su u uskoj korelaciji sa stepenom razgradivosti proteina.

AB  - For the establishment and exploitation of alfalfa, the seed must be of high purity, germination, and high genetic value. Most of these requirements is realized through processing or removal of foreign matter and seeds of lower quality. Alfalfa seed processing comprises a number of operations from which the most significant are: cleaning, packaging into ambalage, labeling, storage, disinfection and disinsection. In combine harvesting of alfalfa seeds, the obtained material is a mixture of seed of grown plant, seeds of other plants-cultivated and weed, and various impurities of organic and inorganic origin. The task is to remove all foreign matter and various impurities from the natural seed and extract pure grain of primary culture. The importance of processed seed is reflected in the fact that the seed must be prepared for sowing in the most favorable condition, quality and germination. In this study natural alfalfa seed was processed on three different equipment. The aim of this research was to determine relevant parameters of all tested equipment for alfalfa seed processing. Relevant parameters that define the characteristics of equipment for seed processing were: pure seed (%), weed seeds and seeds of other crops (%), inert matter (%), the quantity of processed seed (kg), seed processing time (h), consumption of active energy (kWh) and reactive energy (kVArh), seed losses (%) and output (%). Testing was conducted at the processing center of the Institute of Forage Crops in Globoder-Kruševac, with three replications. Natural alfalfa seed with purity of 78.0%, with an extremely high content of quarantine dodder weed (Cuscuta spp.), was processed. Based on these results it is possible to select an appropriate equipment and optimize and rationalize the alfalfa seed processing.
AB  - Za zasnivanje i eksploataciju lucerke, seme mora biti visoke čistoće, klijavosti, kao i visoke genetske vrednosti. Veći deo ovih zahteva se ostvaruje kroz doradu, odnosno odstranjivanjem nečistoća i semena lošijeg kvaliteta. Dorada semena lucerke obuhvata veći broj operacija od kojih su najznačajnije: prečišćavanje, pakovanje u ambalažu, deklarisanje, skladištenje, dezinfekcija i dezinsekcija. Pri kombajniranju semenske lucerke materijal koji se dobija predstavlja mešavinu semena gajene biljke, semena drugih biljaka- kulturnih i korovskih, kao i razne nečistoće organskog i neorganskog porekla. Zadatak čišćenja je da se iz ovako dobijenog naturalnog semena sa primesama uklone sva zrna stranih primesa i razne nečistoće i izdvoji čisto zrno osnovne kulture. Značaj dorađenog semena se ogleda u tome da se seme blagovremeno pripremi u što povoljnije stanje za sejalicu i kvalitetnu setvu, klijanje i nicanje. U radu su prikazani rezultati ispitivanja naturalnog semena lucerke pri doradi na tri različita sistema mašina. Cilj ispitivanja bio je da se pri doradi semena lucerke odrede relevantni parametri za svaki sistem mašina. Relevantni parametri koji definišu karakteristike svakog sistema mašina za doradu semena bili su: čisto seme (%), seme korova i seme drugih kultura (%), inertne materije (%), količina dorađenog semena (kg), vreme dorade semena (h), utrošak aktivne električne energije (kWh) i reaktivne električne energije (kVArh), gubici semena (%) i randman dorade (%). Ispitivanje je obavljeno u doradnom centru Instituta za krmno bilje u Globoderu-Kruševcu, pri čemu je u tri ponavljanja dorađivano naturalno seme obične lucerke čistoće 78.0% sa ekstremno visokim sadržajem karantinskog korova viline kosice (Cuscuta spp.). Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata moguće je izvršiti izbor odgovarajućeg sistema mašina za doradu semena lucerke, odnosno optimizaciju i racionalizaciju u procesu njene dorade.

Seed germination and seedling vigour of Italian ryegrass, cocksfoot and timothy following harvest and storage

AB  - During post-harvest maturation, different species vary in the length of dormancy breaking or germination increases. Seed dormancy and slow seedling development often limit establishment of forage grass stands. Seed germination and seedling vigour of Italian ryegrass (Lolium italicum A. Braun, Synonym Lolium multiflorum L.), cocksfoot (Dactylis glomerata L.) and timothy (Phleum pretense L.) were observed after harvest and storage. After harvest in June, seeds were stored under standard storage conditions and sampled every 30 days after harvest (DAH), up to 270 DAH, and then every 60 days up to 990 DAH. At each date, seeds were tested for final germination percentage and for seedling vigour traits. Timothy seeds had a maximum germination (88%) and the best seedlings vigour at 90 DAH, which implies that early autumn (September-October) is the best sowing period for freshly harvested seeds of timothy. Timothy seed germination was poor from 270 DAH (73%). The best germination and vigour of Italian ryegrass and cocksfoot seedlings were between 270 and 330 DAH, which equates to spring sowing time (March-April) in the succeeding year. Cocksfoot and Italian ryegrass seeds maintained satisfactory germination levels up to 630 DAH (81%) and 810 DAH (81%), respectively. The data can serve for the determination of a proper storage duration management between harvest and sowing of the tested species under ambient conditions of south-eastern Europe.

Timothy seeds had a maximum germination (88%) and the best seedlings vigour at 90 DAH, which implies that early autumn (September-October) is the best sowing period for freshly harvested seeds of timothy. Timothy seed germination was poor from 270 DAH (73%). The best germination and vigour of Italian ryegrass and cocksfoot seedlings were between 270 and 330 DAH, which equates to spring sowing time (March-April) in the succeeding year. Cocksfoot and Italian ryegrass seeds maintained satisfactory germination levels up to 630 DAH (81%) and 810 DAH (81%), respectively. The data can serve for the determination of a proper storage duration management between harvest and sowing of the tested species under ambient conditions of south-eastern Europe.",

AB  - State of mutual or reciprocal relationship between traits is determined by the correlation coefficients. Correlation of morphological and production traits was determined in two generations of honey bee colonies. In the first generation, mother queen bees were studied, and in the second generation, their offspring. The study of one generation lasted two years. Morphological traits were determined in the beginning of the study and production traits were determined in the spring and autumn inspections of every year. In the first generation, the positive and mostly high correlation between morphological traits, and honey yield and hygienic behavior was determined. Correlation of morphological traits, colony strength and food supplies per colony ranged from highly positive to slightly negative values. It was found that there was a high correlation between some production traits (colony strength in the spring and autumn inspections and honey yield per colony). In the analysis of offspring (second generation), most traits that were positively correlated in mother generation now, also, showed a similar relationship. The only difference, in contrast to mother generation, was that, for most traits, the intensity of interaction increased.
AB  - Stanje uzajamne ili recipročne povezanosti jedne osobine od druge utvrđuje se na osnovu koeficijenta korelacije. Korelacija morfoloških i proizvodnih osobina utvrđivana je kroz dve generacije društava medonosne pčele. U prvoj generaciji praćene su majke matice, a u drugoj njihovo potomstvo. Ispitivanje po jednoj generaciji trajalo je dve godine. Morfološke osobine su utvrđene na početku praćenja generacija, a proizvodne na prolećnom i jesenjem pregledu svake godine. U prvoj generaciji utvrđena je pozitivna i mahom visoka korelacija između morfoloških osobina, prinosa meda i higijenskog ponašanja. Stepen korelacije morfoloških osobina, snage društva i zaliha hrane po društvu bio je od visoko pozitivne do slabo negativne vrednosti. Ustanovljeno je da postoji i visok stepen korelacije između pojedinih proizvodnih osobina (snaga društava na prolećnom i jesenjem pregledu i prinosa meda po društvu). Prilikom testiranja potomstva (II generacija) većina osobina koje su bile u pozitivnoj korelaciji kod roditelja i sada su pokazivala uzajamni odnos. Jedina razlika u odnosu na roditelje je u tome da se, za većinu osobina, intezitet međusobnog uticaja povećao.

AB  - In the process of alfalfa seed processing, all relevant parameters are directly dependant on presence of weed species and other impurities in natural seed, as well as on the equipment used. The higher amount of weed in natural alfalfa seed lowers the total amount of processed seed, making the processing harder and more expensive. In alfalfa crop, quarantine weeds are especially harmful, such as dodder (Cuscuta spp.) and curly dock (Rumex spp.). One of the greatest problems in alfalfa planting is the presence of harmful parasitic flowering plant dodder (Cuscuta spp.) which is typical weed - alfalfa parasite that lowers hay and seed production. The paper shows the results of the analysis of influence different weed content from two lots of natural alfalfa seed (I, II) of different purity, on the relevant processing parameters. Processing of the both lots of seed was done on the same equipment. The relevant parameters that define alfalfa seed processing effects were: pure seed (%), weed seeds and seeds of other cultures (%), inert matters (%), seed processing time (h), consumption of active (kWh) and reactive power (kVArh), processed seed quantity (kg), metal powder (kg) and water (l) consumption, processing output (%) and seed losses (%).
AB  - U procesu dorade semena lucerke svi relevantni parametri dorade direktno zavise od zastupljenosti korovskih vrsta i ostalih primesa u naturalnom semenu, kao i od sistema mašina koji se koristi za doradu. Veći sadržaj štetnih korova u naturalnom semenu lucerke smanjuje ukupnu količinu dorađenog semena, otežava i poskupljuje doradu. U usevu lucerke posebno su štetni karantinski korovi, vilina kosica (Cuscuta spp.) i štavelj (Rumex spp.). Jedan od najvećih problema u gajenju lucerke je prisustvo štetne parazitske cvetnice viline kosice (Cuscuta spp.) koja je tipičan korov - parazit lucerke koji smanjuje proizvodnju sena i semena. U radu su prikazani rezultati analize uticaja različitog sadržaja semena korova u dve partije naturalnog semena lucerke (I, II) različitih čistoća, na relevantne parametre dorade. Dorada obe partije semena obavljala se na istom sistemu mašina. AB  - During two investigation years two trials with meadow fescue (Festuca pratensis Huds.), cultivar K21 and tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea Schreb.), cultivar K20 have been performed. Analysis of upper, intermediate and lower panicle branches from generative shots has showed their influence on determining of yield and quality of seed. Lower and intermediate panicle branches have showed higher importance in seed yield determining than upper branches in both species. Influence of panicle branches position on 1000 seed weight has been more variable in meadow fescue (CV(%)=8,41), while in tall fescue variability for germination energy and total germination have been larger (CV(%)=11,05 and 2,26 respectively).
AB  - Tokom dvogodišnjeg istraživanja (2006-2007) izvedeni su ogledi sa livadskim vijukom (Festuca pratensis Huds.), sorta K21, i visokim vijukom (Festuca arundinacea Schreb.), sorta K20. Uzimanjem gornjih, srednjih i donjih grana iz cvasti (metlice) generativnih stabljika utvrđen je njihov uticaj na formiranje prinosa i kvalitet semena. Kod obe ispitivane vrste donje i srednje grane iz cvasti su ispoljile daleko veći značaj u formiranju prinosa semena u odnosu na gornje grane. U pogledu kvaliteta semena, uticaj položaja grana na masu 1000 semena pokazao je veću varijabilnost kod livadskog vijuka, (CV(%) = 8,41), dok je visoki vijuk ispoljio veću varijabilnost za energiju klijanja semena i ukupnu klijavost (CV(%) = 11,05 i CV(%) = 2,26).
