AB - Furthermore, mycobiota was identified on the seed. All examined genotypes were characterized by high average values for seed germination. The highest average seed germination was determined in the genotyp Siam queen and amounts to 96.8%. The greatest mass of 1000 seeds was determined in genotyp Genovese it was 1.75g. The seed of examined populations is characterized by high content of fatty oil. The greatest content was recorded in genotype Lattuga and it was 20,33%. The analysis of seed dimensions established significant differences between average values for length, width and thickness, i.e. plumpness of seeds. Genotype Genovese is was characterized by largest seeds. Four fungi genders were isolated and identified on the seed. Species from Alternaria gender were identified in the seed samples of all examined basil genotypes. Species from Penicillium and Gonatobotrys genus were isolated from the sample of seeds of one genotypes. In a sample of semen from two genotypes were identified fungi of the genus Cladosporium.
AB - U radu je izvršena ocena kvaliteta semena introdukovanih genotipova bosiljka. Analizirani su sledeći parametri: energija klijanja, ukupna klijavost, masa 1000 semena, sadržaj masnog ulja u semenu i krupnoća semena (dužina, širina i debljina).

AB - In this study, the influence of nitrogen (N)-fertilization on Fusarium head blight (FHB) intensity (disease index), spike weight (SW), grain weight per spike (GWS), fungal incidence and deoxynivalenol (DON) and zearalenone (ZON) contamination was evaluated in winter wheat after artificial inoculation with Fuserium graminearum under field conditions. The trial was conducted using two Serbian wheat cultivars (Pobeda and Renesansa) during two growing seasons (2010-2011 and 2011-2012). Three nitrogen rates, 0, 75 and 150 kg N ha(-1) were evaluated. Nitrogen at higher rates (75 and 150 kg ha(-1)) significantly increased SW and GWS in 2011 but there was no significant impact on FHB index in both growing seasons. ;Cultivars did not differ significantly in SW and GWS; however, FHB index was significantly higher (P = 0.05) in Renesansa in 2012. The effect of N rates was not significant on incidence of F. graminearum and DON and ZON levels in wheat kernels in 2011, but it was significant (P lt = 0.01) in 2012 in which the highest level of incidence of E graminearum and mycotoxins was observed in the treatment with 150 kg N ha(-1). In both growing seasons, the effects of cultivar and spike treatments were significant (P lt = 0.01) for DON, whereas these effects were not significant for ZON in 2011. Higher levels of DON were observed in Pobeda, whereas Renesansa had higher levels of ZON. Furthermore, there were higher levels of DON and ZON in inoculated than non-inoculated spikes in both growing seasons. These results indicated that nitrogen fertilization did not increase FHB intensity in both growing seasons and did not increase levels of DON and ZON in 2011. On the other hand, artificial inoculation significantly increased FHB index in both growing seasons, resulting in greater contamination of kernels with E graminearum and mycotoxins, in particular DON. Although the two cultivars differed in their effects on some of the investigated parameters, both were susceptible to FHB and mycotoxin accumulation, in particular DON.

AB - In in vitro conditions, virulence of 91 isolates of species Fusarium genus (F. oxysporum, F. solani, F. acuminatum, F. equiseti, F. arthrosporioides, F. prolifera- tum, F. avenaceum, F. semitectum, F. tricinctum, F. sporotrichioides and F. graminearum) towards alfalfa seedlings was investigated. Isolates of investigated species originated from diseased alfalfa plants collected at four locations in Serbia based on symptoms of wilting caused by Fusarium and root rotting. Pathogenicity and virulence of investigated isolates of Fusarium spp. were determined by visual evaluation of inoculated seedlings of cultivar K28 in laboratory conditions. All isolated of investigated species had pathogenic effect on alfalfa seedlings which expressed symptoms such as necrosis of root, moist rotting and "melting of seedlings". Colour of necrotic root tissue varied from light brown, brown lipstick red to explicit black, depending on the Fusarium species. Strong virulence was established in 48 isolates, medium virulence in 31 and weak virulence in 12 isolates.
AB - U in vitro uslovima proučena je virulentnost 91-og izolata vrsta roda Fusarium (F. oxysporum, F. solani, F. acuminatum. F. equiseti, F. arthrosporioides, F. proliferatum, F. avenaceum, F. semitectum.
