Influence of fertilization on Miscanthus x giganteus (Greef et Deu) yield and biomass traits in three experiments in Serbia

AB  - Miscanthus x giganteus (Greef et Deu) is an agro-energy crop of the second generation cultivated in purpose to obtain annually renewable bio-fuel produced from the aboveground biomass. Cultivation is preferred on marginal lands to avoid occupation of arable lands. Influence of fertilization and soil type Gleysol, Planosol and Technosol (open pit coal mine overburden) on yield and biomass traits of miscanthus were investigated during five years' field experiment. Among biometric characteristics: stem height, length and width of leaves, the number of leaves (dry and green) per stem and number of stems per rhizome, only the last one has a strong positive correlation with yield. Fertilization increased yield during fourth and fifth year of development on Gleysol and Technosol. The highest yield on Gleysol was 23.12 t/ha in 2014, on Planosol 10.16 t/ha, and 4.77 t/ha in 2015 on Technosol. The yield of miscanthus, beside fertilization, depends on weather conditions and weeds. Cultivation of miscanthus is possible on marginal soils with minimum application of agricultural measures only in the year of establishment. Gleysol is a type of soil that can be recommended for miscanthus cultivation.

Floristic characteristics of the area of NP 'Đerdap' and its immediate surroundings

AB  - The diversity of vascular flora in the area of Đerdap was researched in the framework of the Ecological Camp 'Đerdap', organised by the Ecological Society 'Endemit' over the period 2001 - 2006. In addition to the processed field data, the complete list of flora of the study area was formed also based on numerous botanical papers, studies and elaborations. The objective of this paper is the integral presentation of the so far identified floristic wealth of the NP 'Đerdap' area. The paper presents the complete list of vascular flora with 1013 registered plant taxa, the taxonomic analysis of flora, as well as the analysis of nationally and internationally significant species.
AB  - U radu su predstavljeni rezultati istraživanja diverziteta vaskularne flore na području Đerdapa koja su vršena u okviru Ekološkog kampa 'Đerdap' u organizaciji Ekološkog društva 'Endemit2 tokom perioda od 2001. do 2006. godine. Osim obrade terenskih podataka, za formiranje kompletnog spiska flore istraživanog područja korišćeni su i podaci iz brojnih botaničkih radova, studija i elaborata. Osnovni cilj ovog rada jeste integralni prikaz do sada poznatog florističkog bogatstva prostora NP 'Đerdap'. U radu je prikazan kompletan spisak vaskularne flore sa zabeleženih 1013 biljnih taksona, taksonomska analiza flore kao i analize nacionalno i međunarodno značajnih vrsta.
