AB  - Research was carried out on mountain Kopaonik, on two associations Danthonietum calycinae (1000 and 1500 m above sea level), in the period from year 2003 to 2004. Production of grassland depending on the fertilization (1. no fertilization, 2. N60P30K30, 3. N80P30K30, 4. N100P30K30), and cutting schedule (I forming of panicles, II beginning of spike forming and III full spike forming) was monitored. Production of grassland and floristic composition demonstrated dynamic changes depending on the year, cutting schedule and applied fertilization treatments. The greatest production of grassland dry mass and crude proteins on both locations was obtained in late cutting, i.e. in the stage of full spike forming of dominant species and in fertilization treatment with N80P30K30. Grassland was transformed by fertilization from ass. Danthonietum calycinae into ass. Festucetum rubrae on both locations.
AB  - Istraživanja su izvršena na Kopaoniku u dve sastojine asocijacije Danthonietum calycinae (1000 lokalitet Šapido i 1500 m.n.v. lokalitet Marinkovac) u periodu od 2003-2004. godine. Postavljen je dvofaktorijalni poljski ogled gde je prvi faktor bio đubrenje (1. bez đubrenja (kontrola), 2. N60P30K30, 3. N80P30K30, 4. N100P30K30), a drugi rok kosidbe (I vlatanje, II početak klasanja i III puno klasanje dominantnih vrsta). Produkcija travnjaka i floristički sastav su pokazali dinamičke promene u zavisnosti od godine, rokova kosidbe i primenjenih tretmana đubrenja. Najveća prosečna produkcija travnjaka na oba lokaliteta dobijena je kasnijom kosidbom travnjaka, odnosno u fazi klasanja dominantnih vrsta. Đubrenjem je povećana produkcija travnjaka, a najbolji učinak je imao tretman N80P30K30, 44,7% u prvoj i 111,3% u drugoj godini na lokalitetu Šapido, odnosno, 46,7% i 131,4% na lokalitetu Marinkovac. Povećanje količine N od N80 na N100 na fonu P30 i K30 je dovelo do smanjenja produkcije na oba lokaliteta. Prinos sirovih proteina ima sličnu tendenciju kao i prinos suve mase. Najveći prinos sirovih proteina je ostvaren na tretmanima sa najvećom količinom N i to prosečno u obe godine 568,1 kgha-1 u drugom roku kosidbe na lokalitetu Šapido i 552,3 kgha-1 u trećem roku kosidbe na lokalitetu Marinkovac. Floristički sastav se menjao po godinama u zavisnosti od meteoroloških uslova. Đubrenjem je smanjen broj vrsta. Smanjeno je učešće vrste Danthonia calycina, a povećano učešće vrste Festuca rubra i Agrostis vulgaris. Travnjak je transformisan iz ass. Danthonietum calycinae u ass. Festucetum rubrae na oba lokaliteta.

Effect of phosphorus in grassland-based livestock feed production

AB  - Results of researches carried out over the long period regarding the effect of phosphorus fertilizers on change of natural and artificial (sowed) grasslands in hilly-mountainous regions of Serbia are analyzed in this paper. It was concluded that without the phosphorus higher biological production can not be achieved. However, it is of great importance to realize correct ratio between this nutrient and nitrogen and potassium, not only in order to achieve better efficiency, but also more rational use of mentioned nutrients. This ratio depends on the type of the natural grassland or leguminous-grass mixture, focusing on the leguminous species, if they are present and in which proportion. If leguminous plants are present on natural grasslands, phosphorus fertilizers, with or without potassium contribute to the increase of their presence. Also, they induce increase of yield, however in the absolute value yields are not high. Higher quantities of phosphorus fertilizer affect the increase of yield, but only if leguminous plants are present in floristic composition. Different response of species from the Fabaceaea and Poaceae families is registered in double fertilizing combinations. On natural grasslands, treated with PK, yield is always lower if there are no leguminous plants present, and if they are present the yield is lowest on grasslands treated with NK. Also on artificial (sowed) grasslands, P and PK treatments stimulate the growth of leguminous components. If also nitrogen is introduced, especially in higher quantities (over 50 kgN/ha) leguminous plants are suppressed from the mixture. It is recommended in years when leguminous plants are present in projected quantities or more, to use PK or smaller quantities of N fertilizer, and when leguminous are absent to give advantage to the nitrogen. This is based on research results which demonstrate that in the first and second year higher yields of leguminous-grass mixtures are obtained on treatment with P80K80 than N80P80K80 (2,86 compared to 1,74 and 9,05 compared to 8,87 t/ha of dry mass).
AB  - Navedeni su brojni rezultati istraživanja uticaja fosfornih đubriva na florističke promene, botanički sastav i prinos prirodnih i sejanih travnjaka u brdsko-planinskom području Srbije.Prirodni travnjaci su floristički složene zajednice ali su im prinosi vrlo niski (1,8 t/ha livade i 0,5 t/ha pašnjaci). Fosforna đubriva sama ili u kombinaciji sa kalijumovim utiču na povećanje udela leguminoza ako ih ima u sastavu. U tom slučaju utiču i na povećanje prinosa. Đubrenje travno-leguminoznih smeša samo sa PK doprinosi povećanju udela leguminozne komponente. Zahvaljujući tome unošenje P80K80 u prve dve godine obezbeđuje veće prinose od primene N80P80K80. Dok u smeši ima leguminoza (>20%) preporučuje se PK đubrenje, a kada leguminoza nema ili su nestale iz smeše prednost se daje azotnom đubrivu.

Humus condition of soils under natural and cultivated grassland in Sjenica region

AB  - Humus content and its properties on five locations in Sjenica region are studied and results obtained are presented in this paper. Humus content is high in all the soil types investigated. Total fulvic acids are predominant over total humic acids. Fraction of free humic acids bounded with mobile R2O3 is dominant in comparison with other humic acids fractions. Content of fulvic acid fraction bounded with free humic acids is higher when it is compared with other fulvic acids fractions. On two locations with the same type of soil under natural and cultivated grassland, there are not differences in humus content and composition between natural and cultivated grassland.
AB  - U radu je prikazano stanje humusa u zemljištima pod prirodnim i sejanim travnjacima na lokalnostima Rasno, Donja Vapa, Čedovo, Kladnica i Brnjica na području Sjenice. Proučavana zemljišta su dobro do jako humozna. Stepen humifikovanosti organske materije je srednji pod prirodnim, a nizak do srednji pod sejanim travnjacima. Analizovani uzorci kod svih tipovi zemljišta pod prirodnim i sejanim travnjacima pripadaju fulvatnom tipu humusa. Među huminskim kislinama preovlađuje frakcija slobodnih huminskih kiselina i povezanih sa mobilnim R2O3, a među fulvokiselinama frakcija vezana za slobodne huminske kiseline. Kod dve lokalnosti, gde su prirodni i sejani travnjaci zastupljeni na istom tipu zemljišta, nema značajnijih razlika u sadržaju, grupnom i frakcionom sastavu humusa između prirodnih i sejanih travnjaka.

Harmful plants in meadow associations of Serbia

AB  - In this paper results of the analysis of 48 meadow and pasture associations of Serbia deriving from 6 vegetation classes in order to establish the presence of harmful species. In this way possibility for more efficient method of their removal or reduction could be defined. Analysis included plants poisonous to domestic animals or could cause mechanical injuries to livestock, plant species that have harmful affect to the quality of livestock products (meat and milk), also plants not consumed by livestock at all and plants inducing the productivity of useful forage plant species (parasites and semi-parasites). It was established that their participation in meadow associations varies between 5 and 35%. The highest total presence of harmful plants (35%) and highest single presence of poisonous (15%) and slightly poisonous (20%) plants was registered in ass. Festucetum ovinae.
AB  - U radu su prikazani rezultati analize 48 livadskih i pašnih zajednica Srbije, iz 6 vegetacijskih klasa, sa ciljem da se u njima utvrdi zastupljenost štetnih vrsta. Time bi se stvorila mogućnost iznalaženja načina za njihovo odstranjivanje ili smanjenje. Analizom su obuhvaćene biljke otrovne po zdravlje domaćih životinja ili nanose mehaničke povrede stoci, vrste koje deluju štetno na kvalitet stočnih proizvoda (pre svega mesa i mleka), zatim biljke koje stoka uopšte ne jede i vrste koje snižavaju produktivnost korisnih krmnih biljaka (paraziti i poluparaziti). Effects of red clover and Italian ryegrass share on silage quality and nutritive value

AB  - The silage mass of the first-cut of red clover (TP), the variety K-17 at the flowering stage, and of Italian ryegrass (LI), the variety K-13 at the full heading stage, was ensiled. Ensiling was done in a single culture and in mixtures of two masses in the ratio of 75:25, 50:50 and 25:75%. The silage mass was chopped by a forage harvester into segments of 30-50 mm in length. Ensiling was done on May 26, 1995 in experimental containers (capacity of 100 l) in three replicates. Containers were opened and sampling was done 200 days after ensiling. The silage mass of Italian ryegrass as compared to red clover contained higher amounts of fermentable sugars (155:131 g kg-1 DM), had a lower buffering capacity (44.8:58.8 g of lactic acid kg-1 DM) and a more favourable ratio of sugars to buffering capacity (3.50:2.23). Therefore it is more suitable for ensiling. The silage mass of red clover as compared to Italian ryegrass contained an amount of crude proteins higher by 70% (171.1:100.8 g kg-1 DM) and Ca content higher by 2.8 times (14.9:5.3 g kg-1 DM). The crude protein content amounted to 130.6 g kg-1 DM in silages having the equal share of silage masses. Silages scored highest points for the values of pH, NH3-N and soluble N compared to the total N. They were classified into the 1st and 2nd class, i.e. the 1st class, according to the DLG method, i.e. the method developed by the Laboratory of the Research Centre 'Oskar Kellner', Rostock, respectively. In general, sown grassland should be established with the equal share of red clover and Italian ryegrass in biomass, as nutrient contents are adequate for ruminant nutrition and biomass suitable for ensiling.
AB  - Silirana je neprovenjena silomasa prvog otkosa crvene deteline (TP), sorta K-17 u fazi cvetanja i italijanskog ljulja (LI), sorta K-13 u fazi punog klasanja. Siliranje je obavljeno u čistoj kulturi i u smeši sa odnosom dveju masa 75:25, 50:50 i 25:75%. Silomasa italijanskog ljulja u odnosu na crvenu detelinu je povoljnija za siliranje, ima više fermentabilnih šećera, manji puferski kapacitet. Silomasa i silaža crvene deteline u odnosu na italijanski ljulj sadrži za 70% više sirovih proteina i 2,8 puta više Ca. Silaža sa jednakim udelom silomasa crvene deteline i italijanskog ljulja sadrži 130,6 g kg-1 suve materije. Sve silaže su ocenjene maksimalnim brojem poena za parametre pH, NH3-N, rastvorljivi N u odnosu na ukupni N i buternu kiselinu. Primenom ključa DLG silaže su uglavnom ocenjene I i II klasom, a po drugoj metodi sve silaže su ocenjene I klasom.
