Effect of planting density and supplemental nitrogen nutrition on the productivity of miscanthus

AB  - Variability of Miscanthus morphological traits were the subject of two-year study (2010 and 2011). Plant height, stem number and number of developed leaves per plant was studied in dependence of the applied rhizomes planting density (2 and 3 per m(2)), as well as of applied nitrogen amount used for supplemental plant nutrition. The results showed that planting density had an impact on the investigated morphological characteristics of Miscanthus, while the affect of nitrogen was dependent on the weather conditions and distribution of rainfall, and was stronger during the first year at a maximum rate of this nutrient. In the second year, rhizomes planting density showed a stronger effect on the number of developed leaves per plant. Variation in number of stems per rhizome was evident in the planting year or in the second year, as well as among treatments. The number of leaves was increased by increasing nitrogen amounts, so in both years it was the largest at the maximum applied nitrogen amount of 100 kg ha(-1). Usage of 100 kg ha(-1) of nitrogen in the first year, produced plants with significantlly higher outgrowths number per rhizome compared to other applied variants. In the second year rhizomes planting density had a strong affect on the outgrowths number.

The greatest grain weight per plant (13.22 g) was achieved at the smallest row spacing. It decreased at higher row spacing, except for cultivar Balkan, where value of these parameters was the highest (13.09 g). The highest grain yield (4,868 kg ha-1) was determined at the 20 cm inter-row width. It decreased equally at bigger row spacing for 7.0-12.9%. The highest grain yield was achieved with Balkan cultivar (4,773 kg ha-1), and the lowest with Dragana cultivar (4,284 kg ha-1).
AB  - Istraživanja uticaja međurednog rastojanja i sorte na produktivnost soje obavljena su na oglednom polju Instituta za kukuruz u Zemun Polju. Najveća masa zrna po biljci (13,22 g) zabeležena je pri najmanjem međurednom rastojanju. Ravnomerno se smanjivala sa povećanjem međurednog rastojanja, izuzev sorte Balkan. Kod ove sorte ujedno je zabeležena i najveća vrednost ovog parametra, 13,09 g. Uskorednom setvom ostvaren je i najveći prinos zrna soje (4.868 kg/ha). Sa povećanjem rastojanja između redova skoro ravnomerno se smanjivao za 7,0 do 12,9%. Najveći prinos dala je sorta Balkan (4.773 kg/ha), a najmanji sorta Dragana (4.284 kg/ha).

AB  - The paper investigated the production properties of three sorghum genotypes: NS-Džin (forage sorghum), Zora (Sudan grass) and Siloking (interspecies hybrid) in terms of different nitrogen rates used in side dressing in 2009 and 2010. The subject of study was green biomass and dry matter yield in the stages of intensive growth and tasseling. The results have shown that there have been significant fluctuations in production indicators between the genotypes. In the total average, the lowest yield was recorded for the Sudan grass (85.41 t ha-1). Significantly higher yields were recorded for the interspecies hybrid (90.22 t ha-1) and the forage sorghum (93.51 t ha-1). Although the effect of nitrogen rates depended on weather conditions, i.e. rainfall distribution, the optimal nitrogen rate in both years was 180 kg ha-1.
AB  - U radu su proučavane produktivne osobine tri genotipa sirka i to: NS-Džin (krmni sirak), Zora (sudanska trava) i Siloking (interspecijes hibrid) u zavisnosti od upotrebljenih količina azota za dopunsku ishranu biljaka tokom 2009. i 2010. godine. Ispitivani su prinos zelene mase u fazama intezivnog porasta i metličenja. Između ispitivanih genotipova postoje značajna variranja u pokazateljima produktivnosti. U ukupnom proseku najmanji prinos dala je sudanska trava 85,41 t ha-1. Značajno viši prinos bio je kod interspecijes hibrida (90,22 t ha-1) i krmnog sirka (93,51 t ha-1). Iako je efekat upotrebljenog azota zavisio od vremenskih uslova, odnosno od rasporeda padavina, u obe godine optimalna količina azota bila je 180 kg ha-1.

AB  - Khorasan wheat occupies a special place in the group of new-old cereals (Triticum turgidum, ssp. Turanicum McKey). It is an ancient species, native to eastern Persia, that is very close to durum wheat by morphological characteristics. Investigations were carried out in agro ecological conditions of the eastern Srem, with two wheat populations with dark and bright awns as objects of study. The following morphological and productive characteristics were investigated: plant height (PH), spike length (SH), number of spikelets per spike (NSS), absolute weight (AW) and grain weight per spike (GW), seed germination (G) and grains yield (YG). Field micro-experiments were set on the carbonate chernozem soil type on loess plateau in 2011 and 2012. Hand wheat sowing was conducted in early March with drill row spacing of 12 cm. The experiment was established as complete randomized block system with four replications. Tending crops measures were not applied during the growing season. Plants were grown without usage of NPK mineral nutrients. Chemical crop protection measures were not applied, although powdery mildew (Erysiphe graminis) was appeared before plants spike formation in a small extent. The results showed that both populations have a genetic yield potential. In general, both populations manifested a satisfactory tolerance on lodging and there was no seed dispersal. Plants from bright awns population were higher, had longer spikes and larger number of spikelet's per spike. However, plants from dark awns population had higher absolute weight and grains weight per spike, as well as grain yield per plant. Strong correlation connections were identified among the investigated characteristics. The determination of correlations, as well as direct and indirect affects, enabled easier understanding of the mutual relationships and their balancing in order to improve the yield per unit area.

The influence of plant density on hybrid sunflower seed yield

AB  - During two-year period (2003 and 2004), the influence of plant density (30,40 and 50.000 plants per ha) on NS hybrid sunflower seed yield of different length of vegetation period (NS-Velja, NS-H-111 and NS-H-45). Research was carried out by field micro experiments in agroecological conditions of North Backa (Apatin) on carbonate humogley soil type. Experiments were conducted by split plot method in four replications. The results show that, by examining the plant density and hybrids, significant differences in seed yield of sunflower were made. In years with more favorable weather conditions (2003) during the growing period, increased plant density showed a stronger effect on seed yield in comparison with 2004 year which had the adverse weather conditions.
AB  - U dvogodišnjem periodu (2003. i 2004. godine) ispitivan je uticaj različitih gustina useva (30, 40 i 50.000 biljaka po ha) na prinos semena NS hibrida suncokreta različite dužine vegetacionog perioda (NS-Velja, NS-H-111 i NS-H-45). Istraživanja su obavljena putem poljskih mikroogleda u agroekološkim uslovima severne Bačke (DPP "Jedinstvo Apatin") na zemljištu tipa karbonatna ritska crnica. Ogledi su postavljeni po metodi razdeljenih parcela (split plot) u četiri ponavljanja. Dobijeni rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da su, u godinama proučavanja, između ispitivanih gustina useva i hibrida ostvarene značajne razlike u prinosu semena suncokreta. U godini sa povoljnijim meteorološkim uslovima (2003) tokom vegetacionog perioda suncokreta, povećana gustina useva ispoljila je snažniji uticaj na prinos zrna u poređenju sa 2004. godinom koja se odlikovala nepovoljnijim vremenskim uslovima.

In years with more favorable weather conditions (2003) during the growing period, increased plant density showed a stronger effect on seed yield in comparison with 2004 year which had the adverse weather conditions., U dvogodišnjem periodu (2003. i 2004. godine) ispitivan je uticaj različitih gustina useva (30, 40 i 50.000 biljaka po ha) na prinos semena NS hibrida suncokreta različite dužine vegetacionog perioda (NS-Velja, NS-H-111 i NS-H-45). Istraživanja su obavljena putem poljskih mikroogleda u agroekološkim uslovima severne Bačke (DPP "Jedinstvo Apatin") na zemljištu tipa karbonatna ritska crnica. Ogledi su postavljeni po metodi razdeljenih parcela (split plot) u četiri ponavljanja. Dobijeni rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da su, u godinama proučavanja, između ispitivanih gustina useva i hibrida ostvarene značajne razlike u prinosu semena suncokreta. U godini sa povoljnijim meteorološkim uslovima (2003) tokom vegetacionog perioda suncokreta, povećana gustina useva ispoljila je snažniji uticaj na prinos zrna u poređenju sa 2004. godinom koja se odlikovala nepovoljnijim vremenskim uslovima.",

During corn seed sowing but also in the phases of corn cob flowering and the physiological maturity of grain, both the dynamics of the microbiological activity and that of mineral nitrogen in soil were monitored to a depth of 30 and 90 cm respectively. Field experiments were carried out under the agroecological conditions of eastern Srem (Zemun - Polje) and central Šumadija (Rača Kragujevačka) using a split - plot design in four replications. Based on the results obtained the overall number of microorganisms, actinomycete and Azobacter sp. was greater in the chernozem soil type. The number of fungi was greater in the brown forest soil type. The most stimulative with regard to the total number of microorganisms, number of actinomycetes and Azotobacter sp. was nitrogen added at the rate of 60 kgha-1. Nitrogen applied at the rate of 180 kgha -1 mostly tended to inhibit the investigated groups of microorganisms. The number of fungi varied unevenly depending on the nitrogen rate employed. The overall number of microorganisms was greater in soil samples from fallow land compared with corn - sown land In all the three trial years the amount of mineral nitrogen was greater in chernozem compared with the brown forest soil type. The amount of mineral nitrogen was the smallest in the no N control variant of both fallow and corn - sown soil samples. Increasing the rate of fertilizer nitrogen tended to increase the content of mineral nitrogen in soil, but also the amount of nitrogen uptake by hybrid corn plants. Fertilization was found to contribute to greater amounts of mineral nitrogen in brown forest soil than in chernozem soil type...

U svim godinama istraživanja, u černozemu je izmerena veća količina mineralnog azota u zemljištu u odnosu na gajnjaču. Najmanja količina mineralnog azota utvrđena je u kontrolnoj varijanti, i pod ugarom i pod usevom kukuruza. Sa povećanjem količine azota iz đubriva povećavao se i sadržaj mineralnog azota u zemljištu, kao i usvajanje azota od strane biljaka hibrida kukuruza. AB  - The object of this study was a two-year trial (2009 and 2010) regarding variability of morphological characteristics of species belonging to Sorghum genus, more specifically interspecies hybrid between sorghum and Sudan grass Siloking as affected by different applications of nitrogen. The following morphological characteristics were analysed: plant height, number of leaves, leaf ratio, stem ratio, and number of shoots. Samples were taken from the first cut when the effect of the applied nitrogen doses was the strongest. The results showed that increasing nitrogen quantities significantly affected the tested morphological characteristics, especially the intensity of tillering (increased number of secondary stems), number of the formed leaves, and ratio of leaf weight in the total above-ground biomass. The effect of applied nitrogen depended on the weather conditions, i.e. distribution of precipitation, so that plants reached maximum height when 105 kg N ha-1 was applied in the dry year and 180 kg N ha-1 in the wet year.
AB  - Predmet ove studije su dvogodišnja istraživanja (2009. i 2010.) varijabilnosti morfoloških osobina vrste roda Sorghum interspecies hibrida sirka i sudanske trave Siloking zavisno od upotrebljenih količina azota. Analizirane su morfološke osobine: visina biljka, broj listova, udeo lista, udeo stabla, broj izdanaka, a uzorci su uzimani iz prvog otkosa kada je i efekat upotrebljenih azotnih hraniva bio najveći. Rezultati su pokazali da rastuće količine azota značajno utiču na ispitivane morfološke osobine posebno na intenzitet bokorenja (povećanje broja sekundarnih stabala), broj formiranih listova, kao i udeo lisne mase u ukupnoj nadzemnoj biomasi. Efekat upotrebljenog azota zavisio je od vremenskih uslova, odnosno od rasporeda padavina, te su biljke dostigle najveću visinu u varijanti sa primenjenih 105 kg ha-1 azota u sušnoj, a u varijanti sa 180 kg ha-1 u vlažnoj godini.

Effect of agroecological factors on variations in yield, protein and oil contents in soybean grain

AB  - This paper presents the grain yields and protein and oil contents of NS soybean cultivars of 0 maturity group grown for three successive years. The average yield for all cultivars was 3,335 kg ha(-1). The 2010 yields were significantly higher than the three-year average yield. The cultivar Becejka had a significantly higher grain yield per unit area (3,628 kg ha(-1)) and higher yields of proteins and oil (1,355 kg ha(-1) and 769.50 kg ha(-1), respectively) than the other cultivars. The highest protein content (40.56%) was recorded in 2008. The average protein content for all cultivars was 37.60%. The cultivar Proteinka had significantly higher three-year average protein content (38.21%) than the other cultivars, except Tara. The average oil content for all tested cultivars was 21.31%. The cultivar Afrodita had the highest average oil content 21.55%. Statistically significant differences were recorded in grain yield and protein and oil contents and yield, which were due to cultivar and test year. Soybean yield varied according to temperature and quantities and distribution of precipitation. Yield was positively highly significantly correlated with precipitation (r=0.94**), and negatively highly significantly correlated with temperature (r=-0.61**).

The following morphological-productive traits were studied: plant height, number of leaves per plant, mass of leaves on the stem, average stem mass and yield of green biomass. In the analysis of genetic and phenotypic coefficients, differences depending on the impact on studied morphological-productive traits are observed. The highest value of the stem height was recorded in Sudan grass (2.281 m), as well as number of leaves per plants (7.917). The greatest mass of leaves per plant was established in forage sorghum (49.05 g), and the highest average stem mass was recorded in interspecies hybrid plants (80.798 g). Variation of morphological-productive indicators per species was significant and very significant. Coefficients of simple correlations indicate the presence of very strong to almost complete, statistically very significant positive correlations, so these effects were expected. Plant height and number of leaves were not directly but indirectly statistically significant to yield of green biomass and varied from insignificant and very weak to sporadically medium strong and statistically significant.
AB  - Predmet istraživanja ove studije su fenotipski i genetički koeficijenti korelacije tri vrste roda Sorghum, i to krmni sirak S. bicolor Moench. (genotip NSDžin), sudanska trava S. sudanense L. (genotip Zora) i interspecies hibrid S. bicolor x S. sudanense (genotip Siloking). Ispitivanja su vršena na uzorcima biljnog materijala iz prvog otkosa, Proučavane su sledeće morfološko-produktivne osobine: visina biljke, broj listova po biljci, masa listova na stablu, prosečna masa stabla i prinos zelene biomase. Analizom genetičkih i fenotipskih koeficijenata uočavaju se razlike i zavisnosti u delovanju na ispitivane morfološko-produktivne osobine. AB  - The aim of the present study was to estimate the effects of the foliar application of fertilisers under stress conditions on the grain yield in two hybrids maize (ZP 580 and ZP 735). Studied hybrids belong to different maturity groups (ZP 580 - FAO 500 and ZP 735 - FAO 700). Both hybrids belong to a stay-green type and they can also serve as silage. Two foliar fertilisers were applied in experiment (Humikal univerzal and Ferticare I). Field trails were carried out under rainfed conditions at the location of Surduk during 2002 and 2003. The method of foliar application of fertilisers proved as an efficient tool for increasing the grain yield in both hybrids. However, Ferticare I is more effective than Humikal univerzal in maize. The hybrid ZP 735 was more productive in more favourable year (2002), while the hybrid ZP 580, with a shorter growing season, produced a higher grain yield in more arid year (2003). It was also observed that the foliar application of fertilisers contributed to the grain yield stability in the genotype ZP 580. .
AB  - Cilj istraživanja bio je da se odredi uticaj folijarne ishrane u stresnim uslovima na prinos zrna dva hibrida kukuruza (ZP 580 i ZP 735). Ispitivani hibridi pripadaju različitim grupama zrenja (ZP 580 - FAO 500 i ZP 735 - FAO 700). Hibridi su stay-green tipa, te su pogodni i za spremanje visokokvalitetne silaže. Za tretiranje su korišćena dva folijarna hraniva (humikal univerzal i ferticare I). Ogled je izveden u uslovima prirodnog vodnog režima, na lokaciji Surduk, tokom 2002. i 2003. godine. Folijarna ishrana pokazala se kao uspešan metod za poboljšanje prinosa zrna kod oba hibrida kukuruza u obe godine istraživanja. Viši prinosi postignuti su primenom ferticare I nego primenom humikal univerzala. Hibrid ZP 735 ispoljio je veću produktivnost u povoljnijoj 2002. godini, dok je hibrid ZP 580, sa kraćim vegetacionim periodom, obrazovao viši prinos zrna u sušnoj 2003. godini. Folijarna ishrana doprinela je stabilnosti prinosa zrna hibrida ZP 580. .

AB  - This paper presents the variability of morphological traits of three genotypes: NS Džin (forage sorghum), Zora (Sudan grass) and Siloking (interspecies hybrid) depending on the nitrogen rates used for supplementary plant nutrition in 2007 and 2008. The following parameters were observed: plant height, leaf weight, stem weight, as well as, the proportion of leaves. The obtained results show significant variations in observed traits among genotypes. Nitrogen used in plant nutrition positively affected the increase in total biomass and leaf participation in it. This parameter is of interest to manufacturers of animal feed. Sorghums are plants with a good root system, strong suction power and plants that well adopt unused nitrogen salts that are used for crop nutrition. The increase in the effect of nitrogen rates is mainly affected by the precipitation sum and distribution. According to the two-year averages, Siloking genotype gave the highest total green biomass, leaf weight was greatest in the genotype NS Džin, while the leaf proportion of a genotype Zora was greatest. The effect of nitrogen depended on the weather conditions, or the precipitation distribution, so the optimum nitrogen rate in both years was 105 kg N ha-1. .
AB  - U radu su proučavane varijabilnosti morfoloških osobina tri genotipa NS-džin (krmni sirak), zora (sudanska trava) i siloking (interspecijes hibrid) u zavisnosti od upotrebljenih količina azota za dopunsku ishranu biljaka tokom 2007. i 2008. godine. Ispitivani su sledeći parametri: visina biljaka, masa lista, masa stabla, kao i udeo listova u ukupnoj biomasi. Rezultati su pokazali da između genotipova postoje značajna variranja u ispitivanim svojstvima. Azot upotrebljen u ishrani biljaka je pozitivno uticao na povećanje ukupne biomase i učešća listova u njoj. Ovaj parametar je od interesa za proizvođače stočne hrane. Sirak je biljka snažnog korenovog sistema dobre usisne moći i koja dobro usvaja neiskorišćene azotne soli koje su upotrebljene za ishranu preduseva. Na povećanje efekta upotrebljenog azota veliki uticaj imaju količine i raspored padavina. U dvogodišnjem proseku genotip siloking je dao najveću ukupnu zelenu biomasu, najveća masa listova bila je kod genotipa NS džin, dok je kod genotipa zora udeo lisne mase bio najveći. Efekat upotrebljenog azota zavisio je od vremenskih uslova, odnosno od rasporeda padavina, tako da je u obe godine optimalna količina bila 105 kg ha-1. .

AB  - The effects of the application of increased ratios of nitrogen on the grain yield and quality of soya bean cultivars of different maturity groups were studied. The three-year study was conducted in the experimental field located in southern Banat. The soil belongs to the chernozem type with optimum physical and chemical properties. The cultivars Sava, Valjevka, Proteinka Diva, Venera and Mima were used in this study. The system of top dressing of plants with nitrogen included the following ratios of nitrogen: 50 kg ha-1 (N1), 100 kg ha-1 (N2) and 150 kg ha-1 (N3). The control variant did not include top dressing with nitrogen (N0). Field experiments were set up according to the split-plot system with four replications. The results showed that all six cultivars had high genetic potential, which did not significantly increase with increasing ratios of nitrogen. Grain yield was the highest in a year with the most favourable distribution of rainfall (2007). The total protein content in grain was important for the research, cultivars and nitrogen ratios. The oil synthesis and accumulation in grain were mainly influenced by weather conditions during the experiments, cultivars, while nitrogen had no effect on this indicator of quality. .
AB  - Ispitivana je primena povećane količine azota u tri varijante ishrane na prinos i kvalitet zrna sorti soje različitih grupa zrenja. Trogodišnja istraživanja su izvedena na oglednom polju koje se nalazi na području južnog Banata. Zemljište je bilo tipa černozem optimalnih fizičkih i hemijskih svojstava. Predmet ovih istraživanja bili su sorte sava, valjevka, proteinka, diva, venera i mima. Sistem dopunske ishrane biljaka azotom obuhvatio je sledeće količine azota: 50 kg ha-1 (N1), 100 kg ha-1 (N2) i 150 kg ha-1 (N3). Kontrolna varijanta je bila bez dopunske ishrane azotom (N0). Poljski mikroogledi soje postavljeni su metodom razdeljenih parcela (split-plot), u četiri ponavljanja. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su da svih šest sorti imaju visok genetički potencijal rodnosti, koji se nije značajno povećavao sa rastućim količinama azota. Prinos zrna soje bio je najviši u 2007, godini sa najpovoljnijim rasporedom padavina. Sadržaj ukupnih proteina u zrnu bio je značajan za godine istraživanja, sorte i količine primenjenog azota. Na sintezu i nakupljanje ulja u semenu najveći uticaj ispoljili su vremenski uslovi tokom izvođenja ogleda, sorte, dok azot nije imao uticaj na ovaj pokazatelj kvaliteta. .

abstract = "The effects of the application of increased ratios of nitrogen on the grain yield and quality of soya bean cultivars of different maturity groups were studied. The three-year study was conducted in the experimental field located in southern Banat. The soil belongs to the chernozem type with optimum physical and chemical properties. The cultivars Sava, Valjevka, Proteinka Diva, Venera and Mima were used in this study. The system of top dressing of plants with nitrogen included the following ratios of nitrogen: 50 kg ha-1 (N1), 100 kg ha-1 (N2) and 150 kg ha-1 (N3). The control variant did not include top dressing with nitrogen (N0). Field experiments were set up according to the split-plot system with four replications. The results showed that all six cultivars had high genetic potential, which did not significantly increase with increasing ratios of nitrogen. Grain yield was the highest in a year with the most favourable distribution of rainfall (2007). The total protein content in grain was important for the research, cultivars and nitrogen ratios. The oil synthesis and accumulation in grain were mainly influenced by weather conditions during the experiments, cultivars, while nitrogen had no effect on this indicator of quality. ., Ispitivana je primena povećane količine azota u tri varijante ishrane na prinos i kvalitet zrna sorti soje različitih grupa zrenja. Trogodišnja istraživanja su izvedena na oglednom polju koje se nalazi na području južnog Banata. Zemljište je bilo tipa černozem optimalnih fizičkih i hemijskih svojstava. Predmet ovih istraživanja bili su sorte sava, valjevka, proteinka, diva, venera i mima. Sistem dopunske ishrane biljaka azotom obuhvatio je sledeće količine azota: 50 kg ha-1 (N1), 100 kg ha-1 (N2) i 150 kg ha-1 (N3). Kontrolna varijanta je bila bez dopunske ishrane azotom (N0). Poljski mikroogledi soje postavljeni su metodom razdeljenih parcela (split-plot), u četiri ponavljanja. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su da svih šest sorti imaju visok genetički potencijal rodnosti, koji se nije značajno povećavao sa rastućim količinama azota. Prinos zrna soje bio je najviši u 2007, godini sa najpovoljnijim rasporedom padavina. Sadržaj ukupnih proteina u zrnu bio je značajan za godine istraživanja, sorte i količine primenjenog azota. Na sintezu i nakupljanje ulja u semenu najveći uticaj ispoljili su vremenski uslovi tokom izvođenja ogleda, sorte, dok azot nije imao uticaj na ovaj pokazatelj kvaliteta. .",

The results have shown that there are significant variations in the tested properties between the genotypes. The Siloking genotype had the highest total biomass during all three years. The largest leaf mass was found in the NS-Džin genotype, while the Zora genotype had the highest leaf portion in the three-year average. The effect of nitrogen use depended on the weather conditions, as well as the layout of the rainfall, so that the optimal quantity was 105 kg ha-1 during the first and the second year, and 150 kg ha -1 during the third year.
AB  - Predmet ove studije su trogodišnja istraživanja (2007, 2008. i 2009) varijabilnosti morfoloških osobina tri genotipa NS-Džin (krmni sirak), Zora (sudanska trava) i Siloking (interspecijes hibrid) u zavisnosti od upotrebljenih količina azota za dopunsku ishranu biljaka. Za analize visine i mase svežih stabala, mase listova i udela listova u ukupnoj biomasi uzimani su uzorci iz prvog otkosa kada je i efekat upotrebljenih količina azota bio najveći. Rezultati su pokazali da između genotipova postoje značajna variranja u ispitivanim osobinama. Genotip Siloking je u sve tri godine dao najveću ukupnu biomasu. Najveća masa listova bila je u genotipa NS Džin, dok je u genotipa Zora udeo lisne mase bio najveći u trogodišnjem proseku. Efekat upotrebljenog azota zavisio je od vremenskih uslova, odnosno od rasporeda padavina, tako da su u prvoj i drugoj godini optimalne količine bile 105 kg ha-1, a trećoj 150 kg ha -1.

AB  - The aim of investigation was to estimate the effects of foliar feeding under stress conditions on the grain yield in two soybean varieties (Laura and Lana). Studied varieties belong to different maturity groups (Laura is within the group I, while Lana is within the group II) and they both have reduced content of Kunitz trypsin inhibitor (KTI). Two foliar fertilizers were applied in experiment: Humikal univerzal i Ferticare I. Field trails were carried out in dry land farming, at location Surduk, during years 2002 and 2003. Method of foliar feeding has been proved as an effective tool for increasing of grain yield in both varieties. Variety Lana was more productive in more favorable year 2002. Variety Laura, with shorter vegetation period, produced higher grain yield then variety Lana, in more arid year 2003. It was also observed that foliar fertilization contributed to grain yield stability in variety Laura.
AB  - Cilj istraživanja bio je da se odredi uticaj folijarne prihrane u stresnim uslovima na prinos zrna dve sorte soje (Laura i Lana). Ispitivane sorte soje pripadaju različitim grupama zrenja (Laura - I i Lana - II) i imaju smanjeni sadržaj Kunitz tripsin inhibitora (KTI). Za tretiranje su korišćena dva folijarna hraniva (Humikal univerzal i Ferticare I). Ogled je izveden u suvom ratarenju, na lokaciji Surduk, tokom 2002. i 2003. godine. Folijarna prihrana pokazala se kao uspešan metod za poboljšanje prinosa zrna kod obe sorte u obe godine. Sorta Lana ispoljila je veću produktivnost u povoljnijoj 2002. godini. Sorta Laura, sa kraćim periodom vegetacije, obrazovala je veći prinos zrna nego sorta Lana u sušnoj 2003. godini. Folijarna prihrana doprinela je stabilnosti prinosa zrna sorte Laura.

AB  - The aim of the study was to analyze the effect of different amounts of nitrogen on seed yield and quality of selected varieties with different length of vegetation period, specific corn characteristics and from different breeding Institutes. Trials were conducted on tchernozem soil type on the experimental field in the Maize Research Institute in Zemun Polje. Based on the results obtained it can be concluded that all fertilization variants increased the seed yield from 3.6% (P60K60 variant) to 12.2% (N90P60K60 variant). Fertilization variants had lower positive effect by increasing the seed protein content and was from 0.4% (P60K60 variant) to 4.0% (N90P60K60 variant). Negative correlation between seed protein and oil content was determined.
AB  - U radu je prikazan uticaj različitih količina azota na prinos i kvalitet sorata soje, različite dužine vegetacionog perioda i specifičnih svojstava zrna, iz različitih selekcionih kuća. Istraživanja su obavljena na zemljištu tipa černozem na oglednom polju Instituta za kukuruz u Zemun Polju. Dobijeni rezultati pokazuju da su sve varijante đubrenja povećale prinos zrna soje u intervalu od 3,6% (varijanta đubrenja P60K60) do 12,2%(varijanta N90P60K60). Slabiji efekat varijante đubrenja imale su u pogledu povećanja sadržaja proteina u zrnu soje. Kretao se u intervalu od 0,4% (varijanta đubrenja P60K60) do 4,0%(varijanta N90P60K60). Utvrđena je negativna korelacija između sadržaja proteina i ulja u zrnu soje.

Yield and quality of soybean cultivars under different agroecological conditions

AB  - Both yield and quality of soybean grains of various cultivars under different agroecological conditions were studied for a couple of years. The soybean cultivars of the Belgrade Company “Selsem”: Dukat (maturity group 0), Galeb (maturity group I) and Gorštak (maturity group II) having different vegetation period lengths were used in the trial. Field trials were conducted on different soil types and at various sites. Depending on the vegetation year and site, grain yield of the early maturing cultivar (maturity group 0) ranged from 1.39 to 5.47 t/ha; grain yield of the maturity group I cultivars was 1.38 to 5.48 t/ha and that of the late maturing cultivars (maturity group II) 1.38 to 5.55 t/ha. On average, the highest soybean grain yield (3.86 t/ha) was obtained with the cv. Gorštak followed by the cv. Galeb (3.72 t/ha). The cv. Dukat was the least yielding (3.53 t/ha). The share of raw proteins in the predominantly dry soybean grain varied from 42.16% in the cv. Gorštak to 44.03% in the cv. Dukat. Oil content ranged from 20.35% in the cv. Galeb to 20.53% in the cv. Gorštak. Based on the results obtained it can be concluded that, in contrast to oil content, there was negative correlation between protein content and yield of the cultivars studied.
AB  - U višegodišnjem periodu analizirani su rezultati prinosa i kvaliteta zrna sorti soje u različitim agroekološkim uslovima. U ogledima su bile zastupljene sorte soje preduzeća “Selsem” Beograd, različite dužine vegetacionog perioda, i to: Dukat (0 grupa zrenja), Galeb (I grupa) i Gorštak (II grupa zrenja). Sortni makroogledi su izvedeni na različitim tipovima zemljišta i različitim lokacijama. U zavisnosti od godine i lokacije, prinos zrna ranostasne sorte (0 grupa zrenja) varirao je od 1,39 do 5,47 t/ha, sorte I grupe zrenja od 1,38 do 5,48 t/ha i pozne sorte (II grupa zrenja) od 1,38 do 5,55 t/ha. U proseku za lokacije i godine, najveći prinos zrna soje (3,86 t/ha) postignut je sa sortom Gorštak, zatim sa sortom Galeb (3,72 t/ha) i najmanji (3,53 t/ha) sa sortom Dukat. Udeo sirovih proteina, u apsolutno suvom zrnu soje, varirao je od 42,16% u sorte Gorštak do 44,03% u sorte Dukat, a sadržaj ulja od 20,35% kod sorte Galeb do 20,53% kod sorte Gorštak. Prema dobijenim rezultatima, sadržaj proteina bio je u negativnoj korelaciji sa visinom prinosa sorti, što nije bio slučaj sa sadržajem ulja.

AB  - The aim of the study was to analyze the influence of interrow spacing (25, 50 and 70 cm) on seed yield and quality of three soybean varietes of different vegetation length (Dukat- O group, Balkan - I group, Vojvodjanka - II group of maturation). Different interrow spacing contributed to various shapes of the vegetation area using the same plant population density. During the two-year trial, on average with regard to the cultivars tested the highest seed yield (5.312 kg/ha) was obtained sowing at a 25 cm interrow spacing. AB  - U radu je proučavan uticaj veličine međurednog rastojanja (25, 50 i 70 cm) na prinos i kvalitet zrna tri perspektivne sorte soje različite dužine vegetacionog perioda (Dukat- O grupa, Balkan- I grupa, Vojvođanka- II grupa zrenja). Različito međuredno rastojanje je omogućilo i različit oblik vegetacionog prostora pri istoj gustini useva.U proseku za sorte, u dvogodišnjem periodu, najveći prinos semena (5.312 kg/ha) ostvaren je pri setvi na 25 cm međurednog rastojanja.Ova vrednost je veća za oko 40% u odnosu na prinos iz varijanti setve od 50 i 70 cm (3.798 i 3.807 kg/ha). U proseku za međuredna rastojanja, najveći prinos semena dala je sorta Dukat (4.450 kg/ha), dok su sorte Vojvođanka i Balkan dale za 1,8 i 8,0% niži prinos. AB  - The paper shows analyzed movement of sown area and yields of soybean in our country. For last 56 years average soybean yield in our country has increased for more than fifth times. Obtained yields last several years in tests in some agricultural organizations assure us that production of this very important plant species can be higher and more stable. For this are needed, sowing of quality varieties, sowing of quality seed and respect of discipline in executing all agrotechical measures.
AB  - U radu se ukazuje na saznanja o visokoj vrednosti genetičkog potencijala rodnosti važnijih ratarskih biljaka (kukuruz 22-30 t/ha, pšenica preko 13,0 t/ha, šećerna repa 150,0 t/ha, soja preko 11,0 t/ha), koje su važne i dragocene informacije proizvođačima u želji za ostvarenje visokih prinosa. Ta saznanja su izazov za osnivanje društava (klubova) čiji se članovi bore i već sada ostvaruju rekordne prinose. Tako na primer, u Velikoj Britaniji postoji klub 100 koji okuplja proizvođače pšenice sa prinosom većim od 100 mc/ha, a u državi Ajova (SAD) klub naprednih proizvođača koji postižu prinos kukuruza od 24 do 27 t/ha (Denise Mc Williams, 2001.). Lideri ovog udruženja sugerišu proizvođačima kukuruza "deset zapovesti - naredbi", koje se, prvenstveno, odnose na primenu savremenih agrotehničkih mera i setvu kvalitetnog semena visokorodnih hibrida. Nešto slično kod soje za sada ne postoji. Međutim, u domaćoj i svetskoj literaturi postoji mnogo podataka o visokim prinosima soje. U mikroogledima, na području Južnog Banata (AD "Stari Tamiš’", Pančevo), u godinama sa povoljnim uslovima vlažnosti, postignut je prinos soje od 6.500 do 7.000 kg/ha (Nenadić i Sarić, 1984.). Poslednje tri godine, na mnogim imanjima širom naše zemlje, postignuti su prinosi soje od 4.500 do 5.500 kg/ha, pa i više (Nenadić i Kaplanović, 2005; Nenadić i Kaplanović, 2006; Hrustić Milica i sar. 2006). Za ovakve prinose, uz povoljne uslove vlažnosti, potrebne su visokorodne sorte, kvalitetno seme (visoke klijavosti i energije klijanja), vrlo kvalitetna obrada zemljišta, obavezno đubrenje, ranija setva, optimalna gustina useva, vrlo ujednačeno odstojanje između biljaka u redovima, efikasna zaštita od korovskih biljaka (bez stresnih stanja od herbicida) i žetva bez većih gubitaka zrna. Kvalitetnim semenom i primenom savremenih agrotehničkih mera obezbediti da biljke u usevu soje budu maksimalno ujednačene u pogledu razvijenosti i produktivnosti (sa velikim i približno ujednačenim brojem mahuna, sa ujednačenom masom zrna po biljci).

AB  - The objective in the study was to analyze the influence of sowing date and plant density on corn grain yield using some hybrids of different FAO maturity groups. The experiments were performed using small-scale field trials in four repetitions on two locations: South Banat (AD "Stari Tamiš", Pančevo) and West Bačka (AD "Jedinstvo", Apatin). Obtained results showed statisically significant differences between grain yield and sowing date, also between plant densities inside hybrids. Significant interaction between examined factors was established.
AB  - U radu su prikazani rezultati istraživanja uticaja vremena setve i gustine useva na prinos zrna nekoliko hibrida kukuruza različitih FAO grupa zrenja. Ispitivanja su obavljena putem poljskih mikroogleda u 2006. godini na dva lokaliteta, i to: južni Banat (AD "Stari Tamiš", Pančevo) i zapadna Bačka (AD "Jedinstvo", Apatin). Dobijeni rezultati su pokazali značajne razlike u prinosu zrna između rokova setve, kao i između gustina unutar pojedinih hibrida. Utvrđena je značajnost interakcije između ispitivanih faktora.

AB  - Dvogodišnja istraživanja uticaja povećanih količina i oblika azota na organsku produkciju kukuruza izvedena su na Školskom dobru Poljoprivrednog fakulteta u Radmilovcu. Predmet proučavanja bio je hibrid kukuruza ZP 434. Obuhvaćene su četiri varijante ishrane kukuruza azotom 50 kg/ha, 100 kg/ha 150 kg/ha i 200 kg/ha aktivne materije i kontrola. Drugi faktor bila su dva oblik azotnih soli: krečni amonijumnitrat (KAN) i karbamid, odnosno diamid ugljene kiseline (Ureja). Rezultati ovih istraživanja pokazali su da na zemljištu srednje obezbeđenom azotom (0,17%) ovaj biogeni elemenat u povećanim količinama značajno utiče na morfološke i produktivne osobine biljaka, kao i na hranljivu vrednost zrna kukuruza. AB  - Two soybean lines L 94-128 (maturity group I) and L 91-4042 (maturity group II) with reduced content of KTI, selected at Maize Research Institute "Zemun Polje" were investigated in this work. The aim of investigation was to establish the most effective mineral nutrition system for increasing grain yield in studied soybean lines. Combination of three fertilizers was tested: start fertilizer "Power 5" incorporated in soil during the sowing, and two foliar fertilizers "Humikal universal" and "Ferticare I" applied during the vegetation period of soybean. Results has shown that soybean line L 91-4042 produce higher yield than line L 94- 128. Both foliar fertilizers effected the increasing of grain yield in studied lines. However, "Ferticare I" is more effective than "Humikal universal" in soybean with reduced content of KTI. .
AB  - Za istraživanje uzete su dve linije soje, L 94-128 (I grupa zrenja) i L 91-4042 (II grupa zrenja) smanjenog sadržaja Kunitz tripsin inhibitora (KTI), selekcionisane u Institutu za kukuruz "Zemun Polje". Za cilj istraživanja postavljeno je da se iznađe pravilan sistem mineralne ishrane, koji najpovoljnije utiče na povećanje prinosa zrna ovih linija soje. U radu je proučavan uticaj startnog mineralnog hraniva (Power 5) i dva folijarna hraniva (Humikal univerzal i Ferticare I). Utvrđeno je da je prinos zrna linije L 91-4042 veći nego linije L 94-128. Folijarna prihrana pokazala se kao uspešan metod jer je značajno povećala prinos zrna soje u odnosu na kontrolu. Viši prinosi postignuti su primenom Ferticare I nego primenom Humikal univerzal-a. .

The influence of variety and date of sowing on soybean yield

AB  - Results of soybean yield and crude proteins content testing of several soybean varieties conducted in 2005. on 12 locations in Backa, Srem and Banat are layed out this project. Also seeding period influence on soybean yield of several agricultural organizations in perennial period was analyzed. Seed yield of early varieties (0 maturity group) varied from 2393 - 4352 kg/ha; I group of varieties varied from 2957 - 5475 kg/ha and late varieties (II maturity group) varied from 2615 - 5551 kg/ha. Considering the location the highest average yield (4309 kg/ha) was obtained with BG-L-3 genotype and the lowest (3538 kg/ha) with the Afrodita variety. Considering the results of these testing as well as many other testing, crude protein content is in negative correlation with soybean yield. Protein content, expressed in absolute mass of dry soybean, varied from 42.05% (variety Vojvodjanka - location Becej) to 49.49% (variety Dukat - location Vajska). Agricultural organizations, especially "Jedinstvo" Apatin and "Stari Tamis" Pancevo, which practice very early sowing (end of March and beginning of April) obtains significantly higher seed yield then the organizations which practice late sowing. .
AB  - U radu su prikazani rezultati prinosa zrna i sadržaja sirovih proteina ogleda većeg broja sorata soje izvedenih 2005. godine na 12 lokacija u Bačkoj, Sremu i Banatu. Osim toga, analiziran je uticaj vremena setve na prinos soje većeg broja poljoprivrednih organizacija u višegodišnjem periodu. Prinos zrna ranostasnih sorata (O grupa zrenja) je varirao od 2.393 do 4.352 kg/ha; sorata I grupe od 2.957 do 5.475 kg/ha i poznih sorata (II grupa zrenja) od 2.615 do 5.551 kg/ha. U proseku za lokacije, najveći prinos (4.309 kg/ha) postignut je kod genotipa BGL- 3, a najmanji (3.538 kg/ha) u sorte Afrodita. Prema rezultatima ovih istraživanja, kao i mnogih drugih, sadržaj sirovih proteina je u negativnoj korelaciji sa visinom prinosa zrna. Izražen u apsolutno suvoj masi zrna, sadržaj proteina je varirao od 42,05% (sorta Vojvođanka-lokacija Bečej) do 49,49% (sorta Dukat-lokacija Vajska). Poljoprivredne organizacije, naročito "Jedinstvo" Apatin i "Stari Tamiš" Pančevo, koje soju seju vrlo rano (kraj marta i početak aprila) postižu značajno veći prinos nego organizacije koje seju kasnije. .

Protein content, expressed in absolute mass of dry soybean, varied from 42.05% (variety Vojvodjanka - location Becej) to 49.49% (variety Dukat - location Vajska). Agricultural organizations, especially "Jedinstvo" Apatin and "Stari Tamis" Pancevo, which practice very early sowing (end of March and beginning of April) obtains significantly higher seed yield then the organizations which practice late sowing. ., U radu su prikazani rezultati prinosa zrna i sadržaja sirovih proteina ogleda većeg broja sorata soje izvedenih 2005. godine na 12 lokacija u Bačkoj, Sremu i Banatu. Osim toga, analiziran je uticaj vremena setve na prinos soje većeg broja poljoprivrednih organizacija u višegodišnjem periodu. Prinos zrna ranostasnih sorata (O grupa zrenja) je varirao od 2.393 do 4.352 kg/ha; sorata I grupe od 2.957 do 5.475 kg/ha i poznih sorata (II grupa zrenja) od 2.615 do 5.551 kg/ha. U proseku za lokacije, najveći prinos (4.309 kg/ha) postignut je kod genotipa BGL- 3, a najmanji (3.538 kg/ha) u sorte Afrodita. Prema rezultatima ovih istraživanja, kao i mnogih drugih, sadržaj sirovih proteina je u negativnoj korelaciji sa visinom prinosa zrna. Izražen u apsolutno suvoj masi zrna, sadržaj proteina je varirao od 42,05% (sorta Vojvođanka-lokacija Bečej) do 49,49% (sorta Dukat-lokacija Vajska). Poljoprivredne organizacije, naročito "Jedinstvo" Apatin i "Stari Tamiš" Pančevo, koje soju seju vrlo rano (kraj marta i početak aprila) postižu značajno veći prinos nego organizacije koje seju kasnije. .",

AB  - In two years period (2004-2005) testing of crop density influence on hybrid corn grain yield with different length of vegetation period were carried out. As seeds, 11 perspective corn hybrids with different FAO maturity groups (FAO 400 - ZPSC 434 and PR36 B08; FAO 500 - KWS Luce, LG Aliacan, AGS 500 and GP Rodna; FAO 600 - NS 6010 and PR34 B23; FAO 700 - AGS IN 730, AGS 83A and KWS Kermes), were used from domestic as well as foreign breeding companies present on our market. The hybrids were grown in the recommended (optimal) crop density (G2) for its FAO maturity group, then in crop density of 10 000 plants/ha less (G1) and in crop density of 10 000 plants/ha more (G3) then optimum. Tests were carried out using open field micro tests in agro ecological conditions of South Banat (DD Stari Tamis, Pancevo) and in normal weather regime. The tests were carried out on calcareous tchernozem soil type using split-plot method in three repetitions. Obtained results showed the significant differences in grain yield among tested hybrids as well as the differences inside individual hybrid densities. Average year and density grain yield results for FAO maturity hybrid groups 700 and 600 in comparison to FAO hybrid groups 400 and 500 were higher buy 10.8 - 12.8%. Compared to optimal densities (G2) grain yield from the lower densities (G1) decreased by 5.2% average, while the hybrid yield from the bigger densities (G3) increased by 2.6% in average. Significant interaction between hybrids and crop densities was determined. .
AB  - U dvogodišnjem periodu (2004-2005) vršena su ispitivanja uticaja gustine useva na prinos zrna hibrida kukuruza različite dužine vegetacionog perioda. Kao semenski materijal korišćeno je 11 perspektivnih hibrida kukuruza različitih FAO grupa zrenja (FAO 400 - ZPSC 434 i PR36 B08; FAO 500 - KWS Luce, LG Aliacan, AGS 500 i GP Rodna; FAO 600 - NS 6010 i PR34 B23; FAO 700 - AGS IN 730, AGS 83A i KWS Kermes), kako domaćih selekcionih kuća, tako i inostranih kompanija prisutnih na našem tržištu. Hibridi su gajeni u preporučenim (optimalnim) gustinama useva (G2) za svoju FAO grupu zrenja, zatim u gustinama koje su za 10.000 biljaka/ha manje (G1) i gustinama useva koje su za 10.000 biljaka/ha veće (G3) u odnosu na optimum. Ispitivanja su obavljena putem poljskih mikroogleda u agroekološkim uslovima južnog Banata (DD Stari Tamiš, Pančevo) i prirodnom vodnom režimu. Ogledi su izvedeni na zemljištu tipa karbonatni černozem, po metodi razdeljenih parcela (split plot) u tri ponavljanja. Dobijeni rezultati su pokazali značajne razlike u prinosu zrna između hibrida obuhvaćenih istraživanjima, kao i između gustina unutar pojedinih hibrida. U proseku za godine i gustine, hibridi FAO grupa zrenja 700 i 600 postigli su veće prinose zrna za 10,8 do 12,8% u poređenju sa hibridima FAO grupa 400 i 500. U proseku za hibride, u manjim gustinama (G1) ostvaren je manji prinos zrna za 5,2%, dok je u većim gustinama (G3) prinos hibrida bio veći za 2,6% u odnosu na optimalne gustine (G2). Utvrđena je značajnost interakcije između hibrida i gustine useva. .
