AB  - Циљ oвог рада био је да се проучи утицај ђубрења (облика азота) и инокулације семена на
морфолошке особине, компоненте приноса и принос зрна соје. Пољски микроогледи су изведени
у агроеколошким условима Поморавља током 2019. године, на земљишту типа гајњача. Као
семенски материјал коришћена је сорта НС Зоја (00 група зрења). Примењен је метод
раздељених парцела, у четири понављања. Површина основне парцеле је износила 170,0 m2
, са

осам потпарцела, а површина обрачунске парцеле за принос зрна износила је 3,0 m2

. Примењена
агротехника на огледу била је стандардна, као за редовну производњу соје. Резултати указују
да је у просеку, за испитиване факторе, висина биљке износила 36,6 cm. У просеку за варијанте
инокулације, највећа висина прве етаже махуна (9,9 cm) измерена је на контроли (без ђубрења).
У просеку за варијанте инокулације, највећи број етажа махуна (10,6) измерен је на третману
са применом УРЕЕ. У просеку за облике азота, на третману са инокулацијом семена избројан је
већи број махуна по биљци. Највећа маса 1000 зрна (247,5 g) измерена је на третману без
ђубрења. Највећи принос (1,17 t ha-1

) био је на третману са применом КАН-а. У просеку за облике

азота, на третману са инокулацијом семена измерен је већи принос зрна за 90 kg ha-1

у поређењу

са третманом без инокулације семена.

Production potential of buckwheat in Šumadija on brown forest soil type

AB  - The aim of this study was to examine the influence of NPK fertilization and between row spacing on the growth, development and grain yield of buckwheat (cultivar Novosadska). Field microexperiments were conducted during the 2018 in the agroecological conditions of the central Šumadija (locality Rača Kragujevačka), on brown forest soil type (Eutric Cambisol), according to the Split plot plane in four repetitions. The area of the main plot was 90.0 m2, and the areas of the subplots were 3.0 m2, when sowing was carried out on the 25 cm row distance, and 6.0 m2, when sowing was carried out on 50 cm row distance. The applied amounts of fertilizers expressed in kg ha-1 of active substance were: Control (unfertilized), NPK 30:30:30, NPK 60:60:60 and NPK 90:90:90. Standard agrotechnological measures were applied, as for the regular production of buckwheat. The obtained results showed a significantly stronger effect of NPK fertilization on the examined parameters in comparison with the size of the vegetation area. When NPK nutrients were used in the largest quantity (NPK 90:90:90), compared to unfertilized variants, a plant height was increased by 16.9%, a number of fruits were increased by 72.5% and a grain yield per ha was higher by 40.5%. When the buckwheat was sown at a larger row distance (50 cm), a plant height was increased by 3.3%, but a grain yield was decreased by 2.3% compared to the dense sowing of the plant (25 cm). The number of fruits per plant did not significantly differ depending on the row distance.

AB  - Variability of Miscanthus morphological traits were the subject of two-year study (2010 and 2011). Plant height, stem number and number of developed leaves per plant was studied in dependence of the applied rhizomes planting density (2 and 3 per m(2)), as well as of applied nitrogen amount used for supplemental plant nutrition. The results showed that planting density had an impact on the investigated morphological characteristics of Miscanthus, while the affect of nitrogen was dependent on the weather conditions and distribution of rainfall, and was stronger during the first year at a maximum rate of this nutrient. In the second year, rhizomes planting density showed a stronger effect on the number of developed leaves per plant. Variation in number of stems per rhizome was evident in the planting year or in the second year, as well as among treatments. The number of leaves was increased by increasing nitrogen amounts, so in both years it was the largest at the maximum applied nitrogen amount of 100 kg ha(-1). Usage of 100 kg ha(-1) of nitrogen in the first year, produced plants with significantlly higher outgrowths number per rhizome compared to other applied variants. In the second year rhizomes planting density had a strong affect on the outgrowths number.

Khorasan wheat population researching (triticum turgidum, ssp turanicum (mckey) in the minimum tillage conditions

AB  - Khorasan wheat occupies a special place in the group of new-old cereals (Triticum turgidum, ssp. Turanicum McKey). It is an ancient species, native to eastern Persia, that is very close to durum wheat by morphological characteristics. Investigations were carried out in agro ecological conditions of the eastern Srem, with two wheat populations with dark and bright awns as objects of study. The following morphological and productive characteristics were investigated: plant height (PH), spike length (SH), number of spikelets per spike (NSS), absolute weight (AW) and grain weight per spike (GW), seed germination (G) and grains yield (YG). Field micro-experiments were set on the carbonate chernozem soil type on loess plateau in 2011 and 2012. Hand wheat sowing was conducted in early March with drill row spacing of 12 cm. The experiment was established as complete randomized block system with four replications. Tending crops measures were not applied during the growing season. Plants were grown without usage of NPK mineral nutrients. Chemical crop protection measures were not applied, although powdery mildew (Erysiphe graminis) was appeared before plants spike formation in a small extent. The results showed that both populations have a genetic yield potential. In general, both populations manifested a satisfactory tolerance on lodging and there was no seed dispersal. Plants from bright awns population were higher, had longer spikes and larger number of spikelet's per spike. However, plants from dark awns population had higher absolute weight and grains weight per spike, as well as grain yield per plant. Strong correlation connections were identified among the investigated characteristics. The determination of correlations, as well as direct and indirect affects, enabled easier understanding of the mutual relationships and their balancing in order to improve the yield per unit area.

Genetic variability of seed yield and seed yield components of autochthonous Lolium perenne L. populations

AB  - The aim of this study was to examine genetic variability, heritability and correlation of seed yield components and seed yield of progenies of autochthonous populations and cultivars of perennial ryegrass, and that on the basis of these results distinguish genotypes that would be later used in the creation of new local cultivars of perennial ryegrass. Research was carried out on experimental fields and laboratories of the Agricultural Institute of Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka in 2007. and 2008., on 6 natural populations of perennial ryegrass collected in Bosnia and Herzegovina and two cultivars, Maja and Calibra as standard. Following parameters were analyzed: number of generative tillers per plant, time of flowering, spike length, number of spikelets per spike, seed yield per spike and plant and 1000 seed weight. Analysis of the results of the number of generative tillers per plant indicates a statistically significant difference in the studied populations and cultivars of perennial ryegrass. The highest average number of tillers per plant was found in the cultivar Maja (193.8), and the least number was detected in population Dragočaj (78.9), so statistical differences were highly significant. The longest period to beginning of flowering was determined in cultivar Calibra (56.5 days) and the shortest in population Laminci (43 days). The average length of spike of perennial ryegrass in the studied population was 22.78 cm and was significantly lower than cultivar Maja. Statistically significant differences between populations and variety Maja in the number of spikelets per spike were detected. The average seed yield per spike of studied populations was in level with cultivar Maja and 37.5% higher compared with variety Calibra. In the studied populations of perennial ryegrass seed yield ranged from 5.21 g (Dragočaj population) to 15.40 g (Kupres population). Weight of 1000 seeds was highest in the variety Calibra (2.60 g) and lowest in population Maglajani (1.94 g). Proportion of genetic to phenotypic variance for time of flowering, the number of generative tillers, seed yield per spike and plant and 1000 seed weight indicate that the variability of these traits in this collection of genotypes, largely derived from plant genotype. In this investigation, the presence of a highly significant positive genetic correlation was found between time of flowering and spike length (0.98), time of flowering and 1000 seed weight (0.97), number of generative tillers and seed yield per plant (0.91) and spike length and 1000 seed weight (0.98).
AB  - Cilj ovog rada je da se ispitaju genetička varijabilnost, heritabilnost i korelacije komponenti prinosa i prinos sjemena potomstava autohtonih populacija i sorti engleskog ljulja. Istraživanja su obavljena na oglednom polju i u laboratorijama Poljoprivrednog instituta Republike Srpske, tokom 2007. i 2008. godine. Proučavano je 6 autohtonih populacija engleskog ljulja sakupljenih u Bosni i Hercegovini i dvije sorte Maja i Calibra kao standardi. Analizirane su sledeće osobine: broj generativnih stabljika po biljci, broj dana do početka cvjetanja, dužina klasa, broj klasića po klasu, prinos sjemena po klasu i biljci i masa 1.000 sjemena. Analiza rezultata broja generativnih stabljika po biljci ukazuje da postoji visoko signifikantna razlika kod ispitivanih populacija i sorti engleskog ljulja. Najduži period do početka cvjetanja imala je sorta Calibra, a najkraći populacija Laminci. The influence of plant density on hybrid sunflower seed yield

AB  - During two-year period (2003 and 2004), the influence of plant density (30,40 and 50.000 plants per ha) on NS hybrid sunflower seed yield of different length of vegetation period (NS-Velja, NS-H-111 and NS-H-45). Research was carried out by field micro experiments in agroecological conditions of North Backa (Apatin) on carbonate humogley soil type. Experiments were conducted by split plot method in four replications. The results show that, by examining the plant density and hybrids, significant differences in seed yield of sunflower were made. In years with more favorable weather conditions (2003) during the growing period, increased plant density showed a stronger effect on seed yield in comparison with 2004 year which had the adverse weather conditions.
AB  - U dvogodišnjem periodu (2003. i 2004. godine) ispitivan je uticaj različitih gustina useva (30, 40 i 50.000 biljaka po ha) na prinos semena NS hibrida suncokreta različite dužine vegetacionog perioda (NS-Velja, NS-H-111 i NS-H-45). Istraživanja su obavljena putem poljskih mikroogleda u agroekološkim uslovima severne Bačke (DPP "Jedinstvo Apatin") na zemljištu tipa karbonatna ritska crnica. Ogledi su postavljeni po metodi razdeljenih parcela (split plot) u četiri ponavljanja. Dobijeni rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da su, u godinama proučavanja, između ispitivanih gustina useva i hibrida ostvarene značajne razlike u prinosu semena suncokreta. U godini sa povoljnijim meteorološkim uslovima (2003) tokom vegetacionog perioda suncokreta, povećana gustina useva ispoljila je snažniji uticaj na prinos zrna u poređenju sa 2004. godinom koja se odlikovala nepovoljnijim vremenskim uslovima.

AB  - Experiments were conducted during 2011-2012, at three localities in Serbia (Valjevo, Nova Varoš and Nova Pazova). The seed of spelt wheat cultivar Nirvana was used, having been selected at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad. The objective of the research was to assess the effect of agro-ecological conditions on morphological and productive properties of spelt wheat grown on different types of soils. The effect of the locality was significantly expressed in all tested morphological properties of spelt wheat (plant height, number of spikelets, number of grains per spikelet), while meteorological conditions (year) affected spike length and grain mass per spike significantly. The average grain yield from all three localities was 3.20 t ha-1. A considerably higher yield was achieved on chernozem, locality Nova Pazova (3.89 t ha-1). The comparison of the grain yields from Valjevo (eutric cambisol) and Nova Varoš (grey forest soil) did not show any significant differences.
AB  - Ispitivanja su sprovedena tokom 2011-2012 godine, na tri lokaliteta u Srbiji (Valjevo, Nova Varoš i Nova Pazova). Korišćeno je seme krupnika sorte Nirvana, selekcionisana u Institutu za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo, Novi Sad. Cilj istraživanja je bio da se oceni uticaj agroekoloških uslova na morfološke i produktivne osobine pod različitim tipovima plodnosti zemljišta. Uticaj lokaliteta značajno se ispoljio kod svih ispitivanih morfoloških osobina krupnika (visina biljke, broj klasića, broj zrna u klasiću), a meteorološki uslovi (godina) su značajno uticali na dužinu klasa i masu zrna u klasu. Prosečan prinos zrna krupnika na sva tri lokaliteta iznosio je 3,20 t ha-1. Značajno veći prinos ostvaren je na černozemu, lokalitet Nova Pazova (3,89 t ha-1). Poređenjem prinosa zrna na lokalitetima Valjevo (gajnjača) i Nova Varoš (sivo šumsko zemljište) nisu utvrđene značajne razlike.

AB  - The effect of different agro-ecological conditions on morphoproductive properties of buckwheat cultivar Novosadska was investigated during 2011-2012 at three different localities. The types of soil on which the experiments were conducted were as follows: the eutric cambisol - in Valjevo, the chernozem - in Nova Pazova and the grey forest soil in Nova Varoš. Agro-ecological conditions affected the growth and productivity of the buckwheat crops at all three localities. The highest yields per unit area were obtained on the chernozem-type soil (1.65 t ha-1), while the average yields on the less fertile soils in the hilly and mountainous regions of Serbia were 1.31 t ha-1 on the grey forest soil and 0.80 t ha-1 on the eutric cambisol. The results showed that buckwheat can be successfully grown on different soil types, since the experiments on all locations were carried out without fertilization, i.e. using the natural fertility of the soil.
AB  - Ispitivan je uticaj različitih agroekoloških uslova na morfološkoproduktivne osobine heljde sorte Novosadska u periodu od 2011-2012. na tri različita lokaliteta. Tipovi zemljišta na kome su postavljeni ogledi su: gajnjača - lokalitet Valjevo, černozem - lokalitet Nova Pazova i sivo šumsko zemljište na lokalitetu u Novoj Varoši. Agroekološki uslovi na sva tri posmatrana lokaliteta uticali su na rast i produktivnost heljde. Najveći prinosi zrna heljde po jedinici površine dobijeni su na zemljištu tipa černozem (1,65 t ha-1), dok na zemljištima manje prirodne plodnosti brdsko-planinskog područja Srbije, prosečan prinos bio je 1,31 t ha-1 na sivom šumskom zemljištu, a na gajnjači 0,80 t ha-1. Dobijeni rezultati su pokazali da se heljda može uspešno gajiti na našim zemljištima, budući da su ogledi na svim ispitivanim lokalitetima izvedeni bez prihrane tj. na prirodnoj plodnosti zemljišta.

The types of soil on which the experiments were conducted were as follows: the eutric cambisol - in Valjevo, the chernozem - in Nova Pazova and the grey forest soil in Nova Varoš. Agro-ecological conditions affected the growth and productivity of the buckwheat crops at all three localities. The highest yields per unit area were obtained on the chernozem-type soil (1.65 t ha-1), while the average yields on the less fertile soils in the hilly and mountainous regions of Serbia were 1.31 t ha-1 on the grey forest soil and 0.80 t ha-1 on the eutric cambisol. The results showed that buckwheat can be successfully grown on different soil types, since the experiments on all locations were carried out without fertilization, i.e. using the natural fertility of the soil., Ispitivan je uticaj različitih agroekoloških uslova na morfološkoproduktivne osobine heljde sorte Novosadska u periodu od 2011-2012. na tri različita lokaliteta. Tipovi zemljišta na kome su postavljeni ogledi su: gajnjača - lokalitet Valjevo, černozem - lokalitet Nova Pazova i sivo šumsko zemljište na lokalitetu u Novoj Varoši. Agroekološki uslovi na sva tri posmatrana lokaliteta uticali su na rast i produktivnost heljde. AB  - Seed quality of perennial ryegrass is very important for successful grassland establishment; rational use of production potential of varieties and arable land; and therefore for improving quality bulk feed production on fields and grasslands. The objective of this study is biennial research (2010 and 2011) of qualitative traits of eight genetically divergent genotypes of perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) seed. The following traits were investigated: seed germination (%), 1000-seed mass (g), number of seeds per gram (seeds/g) and volume mass (kg). The results have shown that average seed germination was 87%, and 1000-seed mass was about 2.1 g, depending on whether there were diploid or tetraploid genotypes. In 1 gram there were 508 seeds on average, while volume seed mass was 25.3 kg on average, which is in accordance with the statutory values.
AB  - Kvalitet semena engleskog ljulja je od posebnog značaja za uspešno zasnivanje travnjaka, racionalno iskorišćavanje proizvodnog potencijala sorti i zemljišnih površina, a time i unapređenja proizvodnje kvalitetne kabaste stočne hrane na oranicama i travnjacima. Cilj ove studije su dvogodišnja istraživanja (2010. i 2011.) kvalitativnih osobina semena engleskog ljulja (Lolium perenne L.), osam genetički divergentnih genotipova. Ispitivane su sledeće osobine: klijavost semena (%), masa 1.000 semena (g), broj semena u jednom gramu (semena/g) i zapreminska masa (kg). AB  - The aim of this study was to determine the most-yielding NS soybean varieties for the agro-ecological conditions of Pancevo area in Serbia. This paper presents the analysis results of yield and plant height of eight NS soybean varieties of I maturity group. Average yield for these soybean varieties was 3,701 kg / ha. NS Maximus recorded significantly higher yield than other tested varieties, except the line NS-L-210391. Line NS-L-414260 achieved significantly higher plant height compared to the other tested varieties, p lt 0.05 and line NS-L-210391 achieved significantly higher first pod height than variety NS Maximus and line NS-L-510001. Statistically significant differences in yield are evident, depending on the cultivated genotypes. All analyzed NS varieties achieved high yields and suitable for growing on the site of Pancevo.
AB  - Cilj istraživanja bio je da se odrede najprinosnije NS sorte soje za agroekološke uslove Pančeva. U radu su prikazani rezultati prinosa i visine biljaka, osam NS sorti soje, I grupe zrenja (GZ). Prosečni prinosi za ispitivane sorte soje iznosili su 3.701 kg/ha i beleže stabilnost (CV=12,84 %). Sorta NS Maximus imala je signifikantno viši prinos u odnosu na testirane sorte (p lt 0.05), izuzev linije NS-L-210391. Linija NS-L-414260 imala je signifikantno višu visinu biljke u odnosu na ostale testirane sorte, p lt 0.05 dok je linija NS-L-210391 imala signifikantno višu visinu prve mahune u odnosu na sortu NS Maximus i liniju NS-L-510001. Evidentne su statistički značajne razlike u prinosima u zavisnosti od gajenog genotipa (p lt 0.05). Sve testirane NS sorte soje ostvarile su visoke prinose i pogodne su za gajenje na lokalitetu Pančevo.

AB  - Biomass is the biggest source of renewable energy, and Serbia is one of the leaders in Europe in amount of available, unused biomass. Technologies for its use are available, ecologically acceptable and they are not expensive high-tech solutions. Current state of renewable energy sources sector in Serbia is marked as a category of unused, even though Serbia has good potentials for development in this field. One of the key moments in development of renewable energy sources is adoption of the Action plan on biomass (2010) by Serbian Government, which has a goal to define activities that will contribute to biomass use as renewable energy sources, considering potentials and current national legislation and EU directives. The share of biomass use as renewable resources in energy sector from the environmental protection aspect, in conditions of adequate use, contributes to significant decrease of net emission of CO2 in comparison with fossil fuel application for energy purposes. This paper deals with possibilities of development and bioenergy crops that will, with its complete life cycle, contribute to reduction of anthropogenic influence on the environment.
AB  - Biomasa je najveći obnovljivi izvor energije, a Srbija spada u vrh evropskih zemalja po količini raspoložive, a neiskorišćene biomase. Tehnologije za njeno korišćenje su raspoložive, ekološki prihvatljive i ne spadaju u red skupih 'high-tech' rešenja. Trenutno stanje sektora obnovljivih izvora energije u Srbiji označava se kao kategorija neiskorišćenosti, iako Srbija ima dobre potencijale za razvoj na ovom planu. Jedan od ključnih momenata u razvoju obnovljivih izvora energije bilo je donošenje Akcionog plana za biomasu (2010.) od strane Vlade Srbije, a koji je za cilj imao definisanje aktivnosti koje će doprineti korišćenju biomase kao obnovljivih izvora energije, imajući u vidu potencijale i trenutno nacionalno zakonodavstvo i EU direktive. Učešće udela korišćenja biomase kao obnovljivih resursa u energetskom sektoru sa aspekta zaštite životne sredine, u uslovima adekvatnog korišćenja, doprinosi značajnom smanjenju neto emisije CO2 u poređenju sa primenom fosilnih goriva u energetske svrhe. U radu su obrađene mogućnosti razvoja i širenja bioenergetskih useva koji će sa svojim celokupnim životnim ciklusom doprineti smanjenju antropogenog uticaja na životnu sredinu.

AB  - The objective of this paper was to examine and present the results of soybean grain yield, protein and oil content during a two-year period (2009 to 2010) in agro-ecological conditions of Sombor, Serbia. Data were statistically analyzed by analysis of variance, using the method of two factorial trials (variety, year). LSD was used to compare means for significant differences. Significantly higher yields were recorded in 2010 compared to 2009. Average yield amounted to 4,196 kg ha-1 for analyzed soybean varieties, and ranged from 2,889 kg ha-1 (2009) to 5,503 kg ha-1 (2010). The year 2010 was favourable for protein synthesis. The highest protein content was achieved by Bečejka variety (38.38%) and Proteinka variety (38.33%) in 2010. Proteinka had statistically significantly higher average protein content compared to other tested varieties in the two-year average. The tested soybean varieties had average oil content of 20.93%. The highest oil content was found in Sava variety (23.03%) in 2009. Statistically significantly higher oil content was recorded in 2009 compared to 2010, while variety and their interactions had statistically significant effect (p  lt 0.05, p  lt 0.01) on yield and grain quality of soybean. Irrigation and appropriate cultural practices are the only measures that could mitigate limitation factors and increase yields.
AB  - U dvogodišnjim istraživanjima prikazani su rezultati prinosa zrna, sadržaja proteina i ulja u NS sortama soje. Podaci su obrađeni analizom varijanse po metodi dvofaktorijalnog ogleda (sorta, godina). Značajnost razlika testirana je LSD testom. Statistički značajno viši prinosi zabeleženi su 2010. u odnosu na 2009. godinu. Prosečni prinosi, za testirane sorte soje, iznosili su 4.154 kg ha-1 i varirali su od 2.840 kg ha-1 (2009) do 5.467 kg ha-1 (2010). Povoljnija godina za sintezu proteina bila je 2010. Najviši sadržaj proteina u 2010. ostvarile su u proseku sorte Bečejka (38,38%) i Proteinka (38,33%). Sadržaj proteina za sve ispitivane sorte soje iznosio je u proseku 37,03%. Sorta Proteinka imala je, u dvogodišnjem proseku, statistički značajno viši prosečan sadržaj proteina u odnosu na ostale testirane sorte. Prosečan sadržaj ulja, za sve testirane sorte soje, iznosio je 20,93%. Najviši sadržaj ulja u 2009. godini ostvarila je u sorta Sava (23,03%). Statistički značajno viši sadržaj ulja zabeležen je u 2009. u odnosu na 2010. Godina, sorta i njihove interakcije imale su statistički značajan uticaj (p lt 0,05, p lt 0,01) na prinos i kvalitet zrna soje. U aridnim godinama navodnjavanje i pravilna agrotehnika su jedine mere kojima se mogu ublažiti limitirajući faktori i povećati prinosi.

Sorta heljde Novosadska, u varijanti folijarne prihrane organskim đubrivom 'Bioplant flora", ostvarila je statistički značajno viši prinos za 171 kg ha-1 u odnosu na kontrolnu varijantu. U pogledu sadržaja skroba, sadržaja proteina i sadržaja ulja u zrnu, nije bilo značajnih razlika između kontrole i varijante sa prihranjivanjem. Folijarna prihrana pokazala se kao povoljan metod za povećanje prinosa zrna heljde u organskom sistemu gajenja. .

AB  - Forgotten or neglected arable land plants, such as buckwheat, are becoming increasingly important in crop production. Grain and one seed nuts are in the usage for humans and domestic animals diet. On the fields of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Backi Petrovac, researches were conducted in terms of conventional (2010-2012) and organic cropping systems, 2012. Analysis of the average yields showed that Novosadska buckwheat variety achieved a statistically significantly higher yield in 2010th (2,996 kg ha-1) compared to the 2011th and 2012th (p  lt 0.01). The year showed statistical significance based on the analysis of variance. The average yields of Novosadska buckwheat variety, the variant with foliar fertilization in the conventional cropping system, were significantly higher compared with the control. The average yields amounted 1.395 kg ha-1 and were higher by 214 kg ha-1, or 18.12% compared to the control. The average plants height was 144 cm. 1000 grain weight was on the average of 23.72 g for the entire experiment. Average yields in the organic cropping system were higher in variants with foliar fertilization (1322 kg ha-1) by 7% compared to the control and plants were higher by 7.28%. Plants were higher in the organic system of cultivation by 13 cm, or 9% compared with plants grown in conventional cropping system, while the yields fell for 73 kg ha-1, respectively by 5.52%. Foliar fertilizers proved to be a possible method for yield, 1000 grain weight and plant height increasing in conventional and organic cropping systems.
AB  - Zaboravljene ili zapostavljene njivske biljke, kao što je heljda, postaju sve značajnije u biljnoj proizvodnji. U ishrani ljudi i domaćih životinja koristi se zrno, odnosno jednosemeni plod orašica. Na parcelama Instituta za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo, u Bačkom Petrovcu, sprovedena su istraživanja u uslovima konvencionalnog (2010-2012) i organskog sistema gajenja, 2012. Analiza prosečnih prinosa pokazala je da je sorta heljde Novosadska ostvarila visoko statistički značajno veći prinos u 2010 (2.996 kg ha-1) u odnosu na 2011 i 2012. godinu (p  lt 0,01). Na osnovu analize varijanse godina je pokazala statističku značajnost. Ustanovljene razlike značajnosti sa stanovišta uticaja sistema proizvodnje na prosečne vrednosti ispitivanih osobina statistički nisu bile signifikantne (p >0,05). U organskom sistemu gajenja biljke su bile više za 13 cm, odnosno za 9 % u odnosu na biljke gajene u konvencionalon sistemu gajenja, dok su prinosi bili manji za 73 kg ha-1 odnosno za 5,52 %. Folijarna prihrana pokazala se kao moguć metod za povećavanje prinosa, mase 1000 zrna i visine biljaka u konvencionalnom i u organskom sistemu gajenja.

Morphological characteristics of the interspecies hybrid between Sorghum and Sudan grass under intensive nitrogen nutrition

AB  - The object of this study was a two-year trial (2009 and 2010) regarding variability of morphological characteristics of species belonging to Sorghum genus, more specifically interspecies hybrid between sorghum and Sudan grass Siloking as affected by different applications of nitrogen. The following morphological characteristics were analysed: plant height, number of leaves, leaf ratio, stem ratio, and number of shoots. Samples were taken from the first cut when the effect of the applied nitrogen doses was the strongest. The results showed that increasing nitrogen quantities significantly affected the tested morphological characteristics, especially the intensity of tillering (increased number of secondary stems), number of the formed leaves, and ratio of leaf weight in the total above-ground biomass. The effect of applied nitrogen depended on the weather conditions, i.e. distribution of precipitation, so that plants reached maximum height when 105 kg N ha-1 was applied in the dry year and 180 kg N ha-1 in the wet year.
AB  - Predmet ove studije su dvogodišnja istraživanja (2009. i 2010.) varijabilnosti morfoloških osobina vrste roda Sorghum interspecies hibrida sirka i sudanske trave Siloking zavisno od upotrebljenih količina azota. Analizirane su morfološke osobine: visina biljka, broj listova, udeo lista, udeo stabla, broj izdanaka, a uzorci su uzimani iz prvog otkosa kada je i efekat upotrebljenih azotnih hraniva bio najveći. Rezultati su pokazali da rastuće količine azota značajno utiču na ispitivane morfološke osobine posebno na intenzitet bokorenja (povećanje broja sekundarnih stabala), broj formiranih listova, kao i udeo lisne mase u ukupnoj nadzemnoj biomasi. Efekat upotrebljenog azota zavisio je od vremenskih uslova, odnosno od rasporeda padavina, te su biljke dostigle najveću visinu u varijanti sa primenjenih 105 kg ha-1 azota u sušnoj, a u varijanti sa 180 kg ha-1 u vlažnoj godini.

abstract = "The object of this study was a two-year trial (2009 and 2010) regarding variability of morphological characteristics of species belonging to Sorghum genus, more specifically interspecies hybrid between sorghum and Sudan grass Siloking as affected by different applications of nitrogen. The following morphological characteristics were analysed: plant height, number of leaves, leaf ratio, stem ratio, and number of shoots. Samples were taken from the first cut when the effect of the applied nitrogen doses was the strongest. The results showed that increasing nitrogen quantities significantly affected the tested morphological characteristics, especially the intensity of tillering (increased number of secondary stems), number of the formed leaves, and ratio of leaf weight in the total above-ground biomass. The effect of applied nitrogen depended on the weather conditions, i.e. distribution of precipitation, so that plants reached maximum height when 105 kg N ha-1 was applied in the dry year and 180 kg N ha-1 in the wet year., Predmet ove studije su dvogodišnja istraživanja (2009. i 2010.) varijabilnosti morfoloških osobina vrste roda Sorghum interspecies hibrida sirka i sudanske trave Siloking zavisno od upotrebljenih količina azota. Analizirane su morfološke osobine: visina biljka, broj listova, udeo lista, udeo stabla, broj izdanaka, a uzorci su uzimani iz prvog otkosa kada je i efekat upotrebljenih azotnih hraniva bio najveći. Rezultati su pokazali da rastuće količine azota značajno utiču na ispitivane morfološke osobine posebno na intenzitet bokorenja (povećanje broja sekundarnih stabala), broj formiranih listova, kao i udeo lisne mase u ukupnoj nadzemnoj biomasi. Efekat upotrebljenog azota zavisio je od vremenskih uslova, odnosno od rasporeda padavina, te su biljke dostigle najveću visinu u varijanti sa primenjenih 105 kg ha-1 azota u sušnoj, a u varijanti sa 180 kg ha-1 u vlažnoj godini.",

AB  - In order to reduce total costs on farms and to sustain agricultural production, it is necessary to provide a new approach to this problem on a global level. The biomass of silage sorghum [Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench] may replace maize, whose profitability decreases in semi-arid regions of the world. Growing forage sorghum as an alternative to silage maize and utilising smaller amounts of nitrogen allows using natural resources more rationally and increases production efficiency. A 2-year study was conducted to investigate the effects of using different amounts of nitrogen (low 105 kg ha(-1), intermediate 150 kg ha(-1) and high 180 kg ha(-1)) on morphological traits (MT), yield (Y) and chemical composition of biomass (CCB) in Sudan grass (cv. Zora), forage sorghum (cv. NS-Dzin) and their interspecies hybrid (cv. Siloking). The standard technology for the production of forage sorghum was applied and ammonium nitrate was applied to the soil before planting. Results indicated that these genotypes have a high yield potential for ground biomass. The genotype Siloking gave the highest ground biomass yield, 90.22 t ha(-1), and the genotype Zora the lowest, 85.41 t ha(-1). Yield variations were also significant in relation to nitrogen plant nutrition. The lowest average yield was in the control. In the year with more favourable rainfall distribution (2010), ground biomass yield (Y) was, on average, higher by about 15%. The genotype had the greatest influence on morphological traits. Intensified nitrogen plant nutrition caused an increase of stem length, stem mass and leaf mass, as well as an increase of leaf portion of total ground biomass. Nitrogen had a two-fold effect on the quality of biomass, as a bulk livestock feed, through an increased proportion of leaf in total ground biomass, and through higher total protein content. Using more intensive nitrate nutrition, the percentage of nitrogen-free extract (NFE) decreased.

Correlation coefficients of morphological: Productive traits of species of Sorghum genus

AB  - Objective of the research were phenotypic and genetic correlation coefficients of three species of Sorghum genus - forage sorghum S. bicolor Moench. (genotype NS-Džin), Sudan grass S. sudanense L. (genotype Zora) and interspecies hybrid S. bicolor x S. sudanense (genotype Siloking). Studies were carried out on samples of plant material from the first cut. The following morphological-productive traits were studied: plant height, number of leaves per plant, mass of leaves on the stem, average stem mass and yield of green biomass. In the analysis of genetic and phenotypic coefficients, differences depending on the impact on studied morphological-productive traits are observed. The highest value of the stem height was recorded in Sudan grass (2.281 m), as well as number of leaves per plants (7.917). The greatest mass of leaves per plant was established in forage sorghum (49.05 g), and the highest average stem mass was recorded in interspecies hybrid plants (80.798 g). Variation of morphological-productive indicators per species was significant and very significant. Coefficients of simple correlations indicate the presence of very strong to almost complete, statistically very significant positive correlations, so these effects were expected. Plant height and number of leaves were not directly but indirectly statistically significant to yield of green biomass and varied from insignificant and very weak to sporadically medium strong and statistically significant.
AB  - Predmet istraživanja ove studije su fenotipski i genetički koeficijenti korelacije tri vrste roda Sorghum, i to krmni sirak S. bicolor Moench. (genotip NSDžin), sudanska trava S. sudanense L. (genotip Zora) i interspecies hibrid S. bicolor x S. sudanense (genotip Siloking). Ispitivanja su vršena na uzorcima biljnog materijala iz prvog otkosa, Proučavane su sledeće morfološko-produktivne osobine: visina biljke, broj listova po biljci, masa listova na stablu, prosečna masa stabla i prinos zelene biomase. Analizom genetičkih i fenotipskih koeficijenata uočavaju se razlike i zavisnosti u delovanju na ispitivane morfološko-produktivne osobine. Najveću vrednost visine stabla imala je sudanska trava (2,281 m), kao i broj listova po biljci (7,917). Najveća masa listova po biljci bila je u krmnog sirka (49,05 g), a najveću prosečnu masu stabla imale su biljke interspecies hibrida (80,798 g). Variranja ovih morfološko-produktivnih pokazatelja po vrstama bila su signifikantna i vrlo signifikantna. Koeficijenti prostih korelacija ukazuju na postojanje vrlo jakih do skoro potpunih, statistički vrlo značajnih pozitivnih veza, ovakvi efekti su se mogli očekivati. Visina biljke i broj listova nisu bili direktno statistički značajni na prinos zelene biomase, ali indirektno jesu i varirali su od beznačajnih i jako slabih do sporadično srednje jakih i statistički značajnih.

Grain quality and status of oats (Avena sativa L.) during storage

AB  - The purpose of this study has been to determine the effect of storage on grain quality of three oat cultivars selected in Serbia - Dunav, Vrbas and NS Tara. Freshly harvested oats were stored at the temperature of 25±2°C for 12 and 20 months. There was a significant decrease in the volume mass (458.4 to 408.9 kg/m-3) and the absolute mass of grains (26.6 to 24.2%) during the storage. The germination potential of the grains decreased over time (96.2-94.1%). The changes in the acid degree values (3.77-3.99 ml 1(Na OH/100 g) are highly significant (p lt 0.01). Initially, the pH level of the fresh samples was 6.2, and it decreased to 5.8 after 20 months. Genotypes and volume mass have great effect on storage duration (η2=0.8130 η2 =0.7621 and η2=0.6780). The interaction between the studied factors did not show statistically significant effects on the change in germination of oat grains (p>0.05). What mostly affects an increase in the acid degree value of oat grains is storage duration, followed by a genotype and the interaction between these two factors. The studied oat genotypes show no significant differences in glassiness (p>0.05).
AB  - Ispitivan je uticaj skladištenja na kvalitet i stanje semena ovsa za tri sorte (Dinav, Vrbas i NS Tara) koje su selekcionisane u Srbiji. Sveže požnjeven ovas je uskladisten na 25±2°C na 12 i 20 meseci. Zabeležen je značajan pad vrednosti zapreminske 458.4-408.9 kg m-3 i apsolutne mase 26.6 - 24.2% tokom skladištenja semena ovsa. Sa dužinom vremena skladištenja smanjivalo se biološko svojstvo semena na sposobnost klijavosti 96.2-94.1%. Promene kiselinskog stepena (3.77-3.99 ml 1(Na OH)/100 g) su statistički veoma značajne (p lt 0.01). pH vrednost svežih uzoraka semena je bila 6,2 a nakon 20 meseci 5,8. Dužina skladistenja nije značajno uticala na svojstvo staklavosti. Genotip i zapreminska masa imaju visok uticaja na dužinu skladištenja (η2=0.8130 η2 =0.7621 i η2=0.6780). Interakcija ispitivanih faktora nije ispoljila statistički značajan uticaj na promenu stepena klijavosti semena ovsa (p>0.05). AB  - Examined the content of the methanol extract routines MeOH dried buckwheat leaves were collected from several sites in the full flowering of plants. Extracts were prepared by healing with return cooler with the addition of methanol p.a. After extraction was performed filtration of extracts, prepared in such extracts was determined by the content of routine HPLC analysis method kvantotativne using external standards (rutin) over the calibration curve. Fagopyri herba drug is described in European Pharmacopceia VI as well as routine alanytical procedure content (Ph.Eur.6.0). Routine biennial examination content in leaves of buckwheat and collection of samples included four sites - Valjevo, Pancevo, Kucevo (Velika Plana) and Surduk. For the purposes of this study was selected local variety of buckwheat dove was grown in the system optimal mineral nutrition of plants with the addition of NPK nutrients hydrogel and zeolite to bind water in the surface layers of soil and prevent its evaporation loss.
The content is varied routines and locations. At least it was routine in the locality listovima buckwheat. Surduk 2.78% and most of the experiments in Kucevo in Petrovac 3.71%. Isolated extraction procedure, routine use in the pharmaceutical and food industries.

AB  - This paper presents the results of studying the effect of different agro-ecological and soil conditions on morphological characteristics and production of buckwheat. The case study was a local variety of buckwheat Dove. The three-year study were performed at three sites, and to Surduk (Vojvodina), Kučevo (eastern Serbia) and Nova Varoš (Southwestern Serbia) on three different soil types. Based on the results of the tested LSD test, we found that weather conditions, primarily the amount and distribution of rainfall, have the greatest impact on plant growth and grain yield. Soil conditions were not significantly affected the production of buckwheat, as well as planting density. The soils in free of weeds mountainous areas should give priority to the denser sowing, and sowing on fertile soils in the inter-row distance of 50 cm. The grain yield obtained in the three-year study showed that buckwheat has a large genetic yield potential since the experiments are performed on the BACKGROUND:  of natural soil fertility.
AB  - U radu su prikazani rezultati proučavanja uticaja različitih agroekoloških i zemljišnih uslova na morfološke i proizvodne osobine heljde. Predmet istraživanja bila je domaća sorta heljde Golubica. Trogodišnja istraživanja su izvedena na tri lokaliteta, i to Surduk (Vojvodina), Kučevo (istočna Srbija) i Nova Varoš (jugozapadna Srbija) na tri različita tipa zemljišta. Na temelju rezultata istraživanja testiranih LSD-testom, ustanovljeno je da vremenski uslovi, u prvom redu količine i raspored padavina, imaju najveći uticaj na rastenje biljaka, kao i na prinos zrna. Zemljišni uslovi nisu značajnije uticali na proizvodnju heljde, kao ni gustina setve. Na nezakorovljenim zemljištima i u brdsko-planinskim područjima trebalo bi dati prednost gušćoj setvi, a na plodnim zemljištima setvi na međuredno rastojanje 50 cm. Prinosi zrna dobijeni u trogodišnjim istraživanjima pokazali su da heljda ima veliki genetički potencijal rodnosti budući da su ogledi izvedeni na fonu prirodne plodnosti zemljišta.

AB  - NS soybean cultivars were assessed for variability of and correlations between yield components and the effect of genotype - environment interaction on yield, yield component and morphological characteristics. Experiments were carried out at Rimski Šančevi experiment field in 2009 and 2010. The following characteristics were evaluated: plant height (cm), height of first pod (cm), 1000-grain weight (g), grain yield (kg/ha) and the combined content of oil and protein in grain (%). Combined contents of oil and protein in grain soybean were determined by a non destructive method of near infrared spectroscopy on PERTEN DA 7000 (NIR/VIS Spectrophotometer). The studied characteristics varied significantly depending on genotype and year. The highest yield of 5273 kg/ha was obtained in 2009 with the genotype Victoria. Highest 1000-grain weights, 2009-2010, were achieved with the genotypes Valjevka and Victoria (149.27 g and 147.23 g). Maximum heights of first pod (19.40 cm) were recorded for the genotype Victoria, 2009-2010. Highest protein contents were obtained with the genotypes Valjevka and Victoria, 2009-2010, were and highest oil contents (21.73%) with the genotype Tea. Protein content was positively significantly correlated with 1000-grain weight and negatively significantly correlated with oil content, and negatively correlated with yield and the height of first pod. Oil content was positively correlated with the height of first pod. Thousand-grain weight was negatively highly significantly correlated with oil content in grain and negatively significantly correlated the height of first pod. The results of this study should facilitate further soybean breeding for improved seed yield and protein and oil contents.
AB  - U radu je proučavana varijabilnost i međuzavisnost komponenti prinosa i interakcija genotip spoljna sredina kod NS sorti soje. Istraživanje je izvedeno na Oglednom polju u Rimskim Šančevima tokom 2009. i 2010. godine. Ispitivana su sledeća svojstva: visina biljaka (cm) i visina prve mahune (cm), masa 1000 zrna (g) i prinos zrna soje (kg/ha) i sadržaj ukupnih proteina i ulja u zrnu (%). AB  - Experiments have been conducted at the Center for Agricultural and Technological Research in Zaječar. Materials research were six genotypes of malting barley, which are fed during the growing season following quantities of nitrogen 40, 60, 80 and 100 kg ha-1. Control was the variant without recharge. The results showed that genotypes respond to increased amounts of nitrogen morphological and biological characteristics, as well as changes in technological value of seeds. Effects of nitrogen were significantly associated with distribution of rainfall during the highest water consumption.
AB  - Ogledi su postavljeni u Centru za poljoprivredna i tehnološka istraživanja u Zaječaru. Materijal istraživanja bilo je šest genotipova pivarskog ječma koji su tokom vegetacionog perioda prihranjivani sledećim količinama azota 40, 60, 80 i 100 kg ha-1. Kao kontrola poslužila je varijanta bez prihranjivanja. Dobijeni rezultati pokazali su da genotipovi reaguju na povećane količine azota promenom morfoloških i bioloških osobina, kao i promenama tehnološke vrednosti semena. Efekti upotrebljenog azota značajno zavise od rasporeda padavina u periodima najveće potrošnje vode.

Path analysis of the productive traits in Sorghum species

AB  - This research studied the phenotypic correlation coefficients between three Sorghum species, namely forage sorghum S. bicolor Moench. (c. NS-Džin), Sudan grass S. sudanense L. (c. Zora) and interspecies hybrid S. bicolor x S. sudanense (c. Siloking). The analyses were performed on plant material samples taken from the first cutting, when plants were in the beginning phase of tasseling. The following morphologic traits were studied: plant height, number of leaves per plant, stem leaf weight and mean stem weight. Additionally, their direct and indirect effect on dependent variable green biomass yield was analyzed, for which path coefficients were calculated. This method enables more quality and full insight into relations existing among the studied traits, more precise establishment of cause-effect connections among them, as well as to separate direct from indirect effects of any particular trait on dependent variable, being biomass yield in this case. The analysis of phenotypic coefficients revealed differences in direct and indirect effect of certain traits on dependent variable. Sudan grass had the highest stem (2.281 m) and most leaves per plant (7.917). Forage sorghum had the largest leaf weight per plant (49.05 g), while interspecies hybrid had the highest mean stem weight (80.798 g). Variations of these morphologic traits among species were found to be significant and very significant. Morphologic traits - stem height and weight significantly affected sorghum green biomass yield. Leaf number and leaf portion in total biomass were negatively correlated with yield. Cultivars differed significantly regarding morphologic and productive traits. Sudan grass had the lowest green biomass yield, while forage sorghum and interspecies hybrid had significant yield increase.
AB  - Predmet istraživanja ove studije su fenotipski koeficijenti korelacije tri vrste roda Sorghum, i to krmni sirak S. bicolor Moench. (genotip NS-Džin), sudanska trava S. sudanense L. (genotip Zora) i interspecies hibrid S. bicolor x S. sudanense (genotip Siloking). Analize su urađene na uzorcima biljnog materijala iz prvog otkosa kada su biljke bile u početku faze metličenja. Proučavane su sledeće morfološke osobine: visina biljke, broj listova po biljci, masa listova na stablu i prosečna masa stabla i analiziran je njihov direktan i indirektan uticaj na zavisno promenljivu prinos zelene biomase za koju su izračunati path koeficijenti. Ovom metodom moguće je kvalitetnije i potpunije sagledati odnose koji postoje između proučavanih osobina, preciznije ustanoviti uzročno-posledične veze između njih i razdvojiti direktne i indirektne efekte jedne osobine na zavisno promenjivu osobinu, u ovom slučaju prinos biomase. Analizom fenotipskih koeficijenata uočavaju se razlike u direktnom i indirektnom delovanju nekih pokazatelja na zavisno promenljivu. Najveću vrednost visine stabla imala je sudanska trava (2.281 m), kao i broj listova po biljci (7.917). Najveća masa listova po biljci bila je u krmnog sirka (49.05 g), a najveću prosečnu masu stabla imale su biljke interspecies hibrida (80.798 g). Variranja ovih morfoloških pokazatelja po vrstama bila su signifikantna i vrlo signifikantna. Morfološke osobine, visina i masa stabla značajno su uticali na prinos zelene biomase sirkova. Broj listova, kao i njihov udeo u ukupnoj biomasi ispoljio je negativan uticaj na prinos. Genotipovi su se po morfološkim i proizvodnim osobinama značajno razlikovali. Najmanji prinos zelene biomase imala je sudanska trava. Značajno povećanje prinosa bilo je u genotipova krmnog sirka i interspecijes hibrida.

Effects of nitrogen fertilization on yield and grain quality in malting barley

AB  - The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of different nitrogen rates on the yield and physicochemical properties of four malting barley genotypes (Kristal, Premijum, Novi Sad 519 and Novi Sad 525). Three-year trials (2008 to 2010) were carried out on the non-calcareous smonitza soil type. The following nitrogen rates were applied: 50, 70, 90 and 110 kg ha(-1). Obtained results show that nitrogen significantly increased the grain yield (2219 to 2987 kg ha(-1)). Grain quality was decreased by increasing nitrogen rates (1.24 to 2.13%). Apart from nitrogen rates, the genotype also affected the yield. Premijum variety gave the highest grain yield and the lowest protein content. The optimal plant nutrition was achieved by applying 50 kg N ha(-1). By further increasing nitrogen amounts, the grain yield increased from 380 to 769 kg ha(-1), but the differences were not significant. Different nitrogen rates showed a significant effect on the absolute grain weight (3.00 to 5.76 g) and volume grain weight (2.22 to 5.28 kg hL(-1)).
