AB  - Raspberries are one of the most important export products from Serbia. In order to evaluate the fruit quality of raspberry cultivar ‘Meeker’, in this study, contents of essential and toxic elements were analysed by means of inductively coupled plasma–optical emission spectrometry (ICP–OES) The most abundant essential elements in the fruit were K, Ca and Mg (2019.86, 310.28 and 275.37 mg kg-1, respectively). To assess the safety of dietary intake of elements through the consumption of ‘Meeker’ fruits, the estimated weekly intake (EWI) for Al, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb and Zn was calculated and compared with the provisional tolerable weekly intake (PTWI). EWI for Ni (0.033) was on the upper limit value.
AB  - Maline su jedan od najvažnijih izvoznih proizvoda iz Srbije. U ovom radu analiziran je sadržaj esencijalnih i toksičnih elemenata primenom induktivno spregnute plazme sa optičkom emisionom spektrometrijom (eng. ICP-OES), kako bi se procenio kvalitet plodova maline sorte Meeker. Najzastupljeniji esencijalni elementi u plodu bili su K, Ca i Mg (2019,86, 310,28 i 275,37 mg kg-1, respektivno). Da bi se procenila dijetetska bezbednost unosa elemenata konzumiranjem maline Meeker, procenjen je nedeljni unos (PNU) za Al, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb i Zn i upoređen je sa tolerantnim nedeljnim unosom (TNU). Procenjeni nedeljni unos (PNU) za Ni (0,033) bio je na gornjoj graničnoj vrednosti.

Profile and content of individual phenolic compounds in raspberry fruit (Rubus idaeus L.) affected by Prohexadione-Ca and young canes removal treatment

AB  - The research was designed to evaluate the effect of growth regulator Prohexadione-Ca (ProCa) and young canes removal on the profile and content of individual phenolic compounds contained in the fruit of raspberry cultivar 'Willamette'(Rubus idaeus L.). Studies were conducted in the period of 2010-2011 in a commercial raspberry plantation located in Tolisavac village near Krupanj. The experimental design was completely randomized and examined the influence six treatments, as follows: control - no treatment; 2ProCa - with 2 ProCa applications; R - one removal of young canes; R + 2ProCa - young cane removal with 2 ProCa applications; 2R - two removals of young canes; 2ProCa + 2GA3 ‡ with 2 ProCa applications, and subsequently with gibberellic acid. The first series of young canes were removed for the first time in mid-April and for the second time at the beginning of May. In 2ProCa, Z + 2ProCa and 2ProCa + 2GA3 treatments foliar application of ProCa was carried out twice during the period of April-May in three weeks interval, i.e. when the primocane growth reached 30 cm in height. The following concentrations of ProCa: 125 ppm (first application) and 200 ppm (second application) were applied. The application of gibberellic acid (GA3) was carried out two times shortly after application of Prohexadione-Ca in a concentration of 250 ppm. The most prominent flavonols were quercetin glycosides, whereas cyanidin-3-sophoroside and cyanidin-3-glucoside were predominant anthocyanins detected in raspberry fruit. A very high content of free ellagic acid and its derivate galolil-bis-HHDP-glucose were also detected. Removal of young canes combined with two ProCa applications expressed a positive influence on increasing of quercetin-dihexoside, quercetin-3-vicianoside, quercetin-3-galactoside and free ellagic acid content, as well as anthocyanin's content (cyanidin-3-sophoroside and cyanidin-3-glucoside) in the fruit of 'Willamette' raspberry.
AB  - U radu je proučavan uticaj retardanta rasta Prohexadione-Ca (ProCa) i pomotehničke mere zakidanja prvih serija mladih izdanaka na promene u sadržaju i profilu fenolnih jedinjenja u plodovima sorte maline Willamette (Rubus idaeus L.). Istraživanja su izvedena u periodu 2010-2011. godina u zasadu maline, koji se nalazi u blizini Krupnja. Ogled je obuhvatio šest tretmana: kontrola - bez tretiranja; 2ProCa - sa dva tretiranja Pro- Ca; Z - sa jednim zakidanjem izdanaka; Z + 2ProCa - sa jednim zakidanjem izdanaka i dva tretiranja ProCa; 2Z - sa dva zakidanja izdanaka; 2ProCa + 2GA3 - sa dva tretiranja ProCa, i neposredno zatim giberelinskom kiselinom. Prvo zakidanje mladih izdanaka je obavljeno sredinom aprila, a drugo krajem aprila u obe godine ispitivanja. U 2ProCa i Z + 2ProCa tretmanu folijarna aplikacija sa ProCa vršena je dva puta u periodu april-maj u intervalu od tri nedelje srazmerno dinamici porasta novih jednogodišnjih izdanaka tj. u momentu kada oni dostignu visinu od 30 cm. Primenjene su sledeće koncentracije ProCa: 125 ppm (kod prvog tretiranja) i 200 ppm (kod drugog tretiranja). Tretiranje giberelinskom kiselinom (GA3) je izvršeno dva puta neposredno nakon primene ProCa u koncentraciji od 250 ppm. Dobijeni rezultati su potvrdili dominantno prisustvo glikozida kvercetina i antocijana: cijanidin-3-soforozida i cijanidin-3-glukozida u plodu maline. Među brojnim fenolnim komponentama identifikovane su i visoke koncentracije slobodne elaginske kiseline i derivata elaginske kiseline galoil-bis- HHDP-glukoze. Jedno zakidanje izdanaka kombinovano sa dve aplikacije ProCa je ispoljilo pozitivan uticaj na povećanje sadržaja kvercetin-diheksozida, kvercetin-3-vicianozida, kvercetin-3-galaktozida, slobodne elaginske kiseline, kao i antocijana: cijanidin-3-soforozida i cijanidin-3-glukozida u plodu sorte maline Willamette.

The influence of cane pinching on production traits of primocane fruiting raspberry cultivars

AB  - The research was designed to evaluate the effect of removing the growing tip of primocanes ('pinching'), when those reach about 80 cm tall, on ripening time, productivity and fruit quality traits in ten raspberry cultivars ('Autumn Bliss', 'Lyulin', 'Polana', 'Polka', 'Himbo Top', 'Ruby', 'Rossana', 'Porrana Rosa', 'Golden Bliss' and 'Heritage'). This measure is considered as important to stimulate higher productivity, whereas harvest time is often delayed. Studies were conducted at the Experimental station 'Radmilovac', a collective raspberry orchard of the Faculty of Agriculture, Belgrade University, in 2009. The orchard was established in 2006 in the form of a hedgerow system without trellis. Canes from previous vegetation period were simply mowed down in early spring and the crop was only born on the primocanes during the summer and fall. The obtained results showed that tipping of primocanes has been found to increase yield in six studied cultivars. The highest fruit yield was recorded in both unpinched and pinched primocanes of cv. Heritage (174,6 g and 296,8 g/cane, respectively), whereas fruit weight only showed lower values by applying this measure in cvs. Heritage, Golden Bliss and Lyulin. Keeping the canes pinched also affected later beginning of ripening time, ranging from 9 days ('Polka') to 80 days ('Ruby') in comparison to the control treatment.
AB  - U radu je ispitivan uticaj zakidanja vrhova (pinciranja) jednogodišnjih izdanaka na vreme zrenja, produktivnost i kvalitet ploda deset remontantnih sorti maline (Autumn Bliss, Lyulin, Polana, Polka, Himbo Top, Ruby, Rossana, Porrana Rosa, Golden Bliss i Heritage). Pinciranje je izvedeno kada su izdanci dostigli visinu oko 80 cm, odnosno neposredno pred početak njihovog razgranjavanja. Ova mera se smatra važnom za povećanje produktivnosti, dok se njenom primenom vreme berbe cesto odlaže. Ispitivanja su izvedena tokom 2009. godine u kolekcionom zasadu maline na OD 'Radmilovac', Poljoprivrednog fakulteta, Univerziteta u Beogradu. Zasad je zasnovan 2006. godine po sistemu žive ograde, bez naslona. Izdanci iz prethodne godine su uklonjeni do osnove rano u proleće, tako da je plodonošenje bilo isključivo na novim jednogodišnjim izdancima tokom leta i jeseni. Dobijeni rezultati su pokazali da je zakidanje vrhova izdanaka povećalo prinos kod šest ispitivanih sorti. Najveći prinos je registrovan na kontrolnim i pinciranim izdancima sorte Heritage (174,6 g i 296,8 g/izdanku, po redosledu), dok je primena ove mere uticala na smanjenje mase ploda jedino kod sorti Heritage, Golden Bliss i Lyulin. AB  - Species of the genus Monilinia are important causal agents of fruit rot on pome and stone fruits in Serbia. The pathogen is very harmful, especially on small properties and cottage plantations where intensive control measures are not applied. Quince is important host for the pathogens of this genus. During spring 2010, intensive occurrence of mummified fruits overwintering on branches of the quince was observed. The pathogen was isolated using standard phytopathological methods. Pathogenicity of eight obtained isolates was tested by artificial inoculation of injured apple fruits. Identification was performed according to pathogenic, morphological and ecological properties, and was confirmed by Multiplex polimeraze chain reaction, PCR. All the isolates studied caused brown rot on inoculated apple fruits. The isolates form light yellow colonies with lobate margins, with single-celled, transparent, elliptical or oval conidia in chains, regardless temperature or light presence. Sclerotia are observed in 14 days old cultures. The highest growth rate of most of the isolates is at 27°C and in dark. Based on studied pathogenic, morphological and ecological characteristics, it was found that the Monilinia fructigena is causal agent of brown rot of quince. Using specific primers (MO368-5, MO368-8R, MO368-10R, Laxa-R2) for detection of Monilinia species in Multiplex PCR reaction, the expected fragment 402 bp in size was amplified, which confirmed that the studied isolates belonged to the species M. fructigena.
AB  - Vrste roda Monilinia su značajni prouzrokovači truleži ploda jabučastog i koštičavog voća u našoj zemlji. Parazit nanosi velike štete, posebno na malim posedima i u vikend zasadima u kojima se ne primenjuje redovna zaštita. Dunja je značajan domaćin patogena ovog roda. Tokom proleća 2010. godine ustanovljena je intenzivnija pojava mumificiranih plodova prezimelih na granama. Cilj ovog rada bio je da se identifikuje prouzrokovač mumifikacije plodova dunje, prikupljenih sa različitih lokaliteta. Patogen je izolovan primenom standardnih fitopatoloških metoda. Patogenost osam dobijenih izolata proverena je veštačkom inokulacijom povređenih plodova jabuke. Identifikacija je obavljena na osnovu patogenih, morfoloških i ekoloških osobina, a potvrđena je primenom Multiplex PCR. AB  - The focus of our study was to investigate the effect of crop load on the accumulation and composition of primary metabolites (sugars and organic acids), selected groups of flavonoids (anthocyanins and flavonols), and total phenolics in two subsequent years in four black currant cultivars ('Titania', 'Triton', 'Tsema', and 'Cacanska crna') and three red currant cultivars ('Junifer', 'Rolan', and 'Stanza'). For the determination and quantification of compounds, high-performance liquid chromatography-photodiode array with a mass spectrometer was used. Significant differences among cultivars were detected in all analyzed compounds. Anthocyanins were the predominant phenolic group and were more abundant in black currant cultivars as compared to red ones. Similar amounts of sugars and organic acids were measured in both Ribes species; however, vitamin C was 3-fold higher in black currants. A larger crop load in the second year had a negative effect on the sugar content of berries and promoted a higher degree of acids, with the exception of vitamin C, which was higher in the year with a lower crop load. On the other hand, the content of anthocyanins and flavonols was higher in the year with a larger crop load, while there were no differences in total phenolic content.

Identification of fruit taste and antioxidant compounds in wild strawberry (F. Vesca L.) and everbearing varieties

AB  - This study characterizes the fruit quality attributes and illustrates the differences in the content of taste- and some health-related compounds present in wild strawberry (Fragaria vesca L.), 'Regina' variety selected from the wild everbearing form of F. vesca var. semperflorens, and commercial everbearing variety 'Irma' bred by hybridization. 'Regina' yielded the highest fructose and glucose content (14,44 and 10,85 mg g-1 FW, respectively), whereas the highest content of succrose was recorded in F. vesca (19,04 mg g-1 FW). Citric acid was determined to be a major organic acid in F. vesca and 'Regina' (11,04 i 15,09 mg g-1 FW, respectively). However, content of citric and malic acid exhibited almost identical values in everbearing variety 'Irma'. Among the phenolics measured, free ellagic acid was most abundant in achenes of strawberry variety 'Regina' (151,36 μg g-1 FW), whereas the highest amounts of pelargonidin-3-glucoside i cyanidin- 3-glucoside were detected in fruits of F. vesca. Similar trend was observed with total phenolic content, which expressed the highest value in achenes of strawberry variety 'Regina' (128,19 mg eqv. GA g-1 FW), but by analysing data obtained only for fruit flesh the highest value of total phenolics was obtained in F. vesca (10,30 mg eqv. GA g-1 FW). Accordingly, the highest level of antioxidant capacity was observed in achenes of strawberry variety 'Regina' (8,04 mg eqv. ask. g-1 FW), followed by fruit flesh of F. vesca (2,70 mg eqv. ask. g-1 FW).
AB  - Rad prikazuje rezultate ispitivanja važnih parametara kvaliteta ploda i ilustruje razlike u sadržaju komponenti ukusa i izvesnih zdravstveno-promotivnih komponenti prisutnih u plodovima šumske jagode (F. vesca L.), sorte 'Regina' selekcionisane od stalnorađajuće forme F. vesca var. semperflorens i komercijalne stalnorađajuće sorte 'Irma' dobijene planskom hibridizacijom. Sorta 'Regina' je ispoljila najveći sadržaj fruktoze (14,44 mg g-1 sv. m. pl.) i glukoze (10,85 mg g-1 sv. m. pl.), dok je najveći sadržaj saharoze imala šumska jagoda (19,04 mg g-1 sv. m. pl.). Limunska kiselina je dominantno zastupljena organska kiselina u plodovima šumske jagode i sorte 'Regina' (11,04 i 15,09 mg g-1 sv. m. pl., po redosledu). Međutim, kod sorte 'Irma' sadržaj limunske i jabuč ne kiseline je pokazao skoro identične vrednosti. AB  - Over a three-year period yield components and pomologic properties were studied in 20 raspberry seedlings obtained by open pollination of Meeker's yellow clone. The primary goals of this research were to determine its variability components, coefficients of genetic and phenotypic variation and coefficient of heritability in a broader sense. The analysis of the components of total variance evidenced that higher proportion of genotypic variance was found with fruit shape index (30.84%) and sucrose content (35.61%). The results revealed that genotypic coefficient of variation were less than its corresponding estimates of phenotypic coefficient of variation for all traits which indicated significant role of environment in the expression of these characters. The values of heritability coefficients, in a broader sense, were high except for number of flowers per inflorescens (9.47%), titratable acidity (6.38%) and inverted sugar content (28.88%). Nine characters had h2 in interval from 50 to 80% but for fruit weight and fruit length was greater than 80% which implies the high potential of genetic improvement in those traits.
AB  - Komponente prinosa i pomološke osobine kod 20 sejanaca dobijenih slobodnom oplodnjom žutog klona sorte Miker ispitivano je tokom perioda od tri godine. Primarni cilj ovih ispitivanja bilo je da se utvrde komponente varijabilnosti, koeficijenti genetičke I fenotipske varijacije i heritabilnost u širem smislu. Analizom komponenti ukupne varijabilnosti ustanovljeno je da su geneticke razlike medu sejancima u velikom procentu uslovile varjabilnost indeksa oblika ploda (30.84%) i sadržaja saharoze (35.61%). Kod svih osobina takođe je utvrđeno da su koeficijenti genetičke varijacije bili manji u odnosu na fenotipske koeficijente varijacije što ukazuje na značajan uticaj spoljašnjih faktora u ekspresiji ovih osobina. Vrednosti koeficijenta heritabilnosti u širem smislu su bili visoki osima za broj cvetova po cvasti (9.47%), ukupnim kiselinama (6.38%) i sadržaju invertnih šećeria (28.88%). Physical, chemical and antioxidant properties of cultivars and wild species of Fragaria and Rubus genera

AB  - The paper presents three years study results (2004-2006) of more important pomological properties and antioxidant capacity in the fruit of strawberry, raspberry and blackberry. A comparison was made between cultivars and wild relatives of each species (Fragaria vesca L., Rubus idaeus L., and Rubus fruticosus L.). It was found out that studied wild species expressed significantly lower values of physical fruit properties in comparison to those determined by commercial cultivars. With regard to chemical fruit composition, wild species showed better results for most of studied parameters. Total phenolics expressed higher values in the wild strawberry and blackberry in comparison to the studied cultivars, and consequently the highest levels of antioxidant capacity were recorded in F. vesca (5.78 mg g-1 FW), followed by R. fruticosus (4.95 mg g-1 FW). Concerning raspberries, the most widely grown cultivar in Serbia, 'Willamette', possessed higher antioxidant capacity than those for R. idaeus (1.41 mg ask g-1 FW). A positive correlation observed in this study between total phenolics and antioxidant capacity indicate the fact that phenolic compounds had significant contribution in expressed antioxidant activities.
AB  - Rad prikazuje rezultate trogodišnjih ispitivanja važnijih pomoloških osobina i antioksidativnog kapaciteta ploda, koji su komparativno proučavani kod samoniklih vrsta jagodastih voćaka: šumske jagode (Fragaria vesca L.), samonikle maline (Rubus idaeus L.) i samonikle kupine (Rubus fruticosus L.) uzetih sa prirodnih staniš ta i kod dve komercijalno značajne sorte svake pomenute vrste: jagode (Marmolada i Madlen), maline (Willamette i Meeker) i kupine (Thornfree i Čačanska bestrna). Ustanovljeno je da su među fizičkim osobinama ploda, značajno niže vrednosti mase i dimenzija ploda ispoljile ispitivane samonikle vrste jagodastih voćaka u poređenju sa komercijalnim sortama, dok su u pogledu hemijskog sastava ploda kod većine analiziranih parametara samonikle vrste pokazale superiornost. Rezultati sadržaja ukupnih fenola i antioksidativnog kapaciteta ploda ukazuju da su šumska jagoda (4,69 mg g-1 i 5,78 mg g-1) i samonikla kupina (3,20 mg g-1 i 4,95 mg g-1) ispoljile statistički značajno veće vrednosti u poređenju sa komercijalnim sortama. Izuzetak predstavlja samonikla malina kod koje je antioksidativni kapacitet ploda ispoljio nižu prosečnu vrednost (1,41 mg g-1) u poređenju sa sortom Willamette (3,13 mg g-1). Pozitivna linearna korelacija registrovana između sadržaja ukupnih fenola i antioksidativnog kapaciteta ploda ukazuje na činjenicu da su fenolna jedinjenja imala značajan doprinos u ispoljenoj antioksidativnoj aktivnosti.

Pomological and antioxidant properties of red currant cultivars (Ribes rubrum L.)

AB  - Three red currant cultivars ('Heinemanns Rote Spatlese', 'Rondom' and 'Red Versailles') were assayed for pomological and antioxidant properties in the period of 2004-2006. It was found out that cv 'Rondom' was superior with regard to physical properties of bunch and fruit, whereas cv 'Heinemanns Rote Spatlese' expressed significantly lower values for these traits. However, the best chemical fruit composition was obtained by cv 'Heinemanns Rote Spatlese'. Regarding the content of some individual phenolic compounds (kaempferol, myricetin, quercetin, and ellagic acid) as well as the total phenolics, great variability was observed among the studied cultivars. Total phenolics expressed the highest value in cv 'Heinemanns Rote Spatlese' (1,70 mg GA g-1), and consequently the highest level of antioxidant capacity was recorded in this cultivar (2,13 mg ask g-1). The significant linear correlation observed between total phenolics and antioxidant capacity in cvs 'Heinemanns Rote Spatlese' (r = 0,71) and Rondom (r = 0,80) indicates that phenolic compounds had significant contribution in expressed antioxidant activities. No significant correlation was only observed in cv 'Red Versailles', which points to the fact that some another compounds might contribute to an overall antioxidant capacity.
AB  - Rad prikazuje rezultate trogodišnjih ispitivanja pomoloških osobina i antioksidativnog kapaciteta ploda kod tri sorte crvene ribizle (Industrija, Rondom i Versajska crvena). Ustanovljene su značajno niže vrednosti mase grozda (4,73 g), dužine grozda (6,85 cm), broja bobica u grozdu (9,1) i mase bobice (0,60 g) kod sorte Industrija, dok u pogledu hemijskog sastava ploda, odnosno sadržaja ukupnih prostih šećera (208,7 mg g-1) i ukupnih kiselina (0,45 mg g-1), ova sorta je pokazala superiornost. Rezultati sadržaja individualnih fenolnih jedinjenja (flavonola i elaginske kiseline) ukazuju da je sorta Versajska crvena ispoljila najviše prosečne vrednosti sadržaja miricetina (1,28 μg g-1), kvercetina (3,14 μg g-1) i elaginske kiseline (6,02 μg g-1), ali istovremeno i najni- ži prosečni sadržaj ukupnih fenola (0,82 mg GA g-1). Niska korelaciona zavisnost registrovana između sadržaja ukupnih fenola i antioksidativnog kapaciteta ploda kod ove sorte, pri čemu koeficijent korelacije nije bio statistički značajan, ukazuje na činjenicu da su određena jedinjenja imala različit doprinos u ispoljenoj antioksidativnoj aktivnosti. Međutim, kod sorte Industrija se zapaža suprotna tendencija, odnosno najviše vrednosti sadržaja ukupnih fenola (1,70 mg GA g-1) i antioksidativnog kapaciteta ploda (2,13 mg ask g-1) su registrovane u plodovima ove sorte, kao i statistički značajna korelaciona zavisnost između pomenutih parametara (r = 0,71).

Implementation of GLOBAL GAP standard: Important precondition for placement of fresh fruit on domestic and foreign market

AB  - A common standard of farm management created by technical representatives of several European supermarket chains is GLOBAL GAP (previously known as Eurep GAP). It is an equal partnership of agricultural producers and retailers which want to establish certification standards and procedures for Good Agricultural Practices. The Global GAP standard is primarily designed to maintain consumer confidence with regard to the quality and safety of fresh products (fruits and vegetables). Since, its implementation has exceeded the border of European markets, Serbia and some other developing countries should help producers to meet this standard in order to sustain in more competitive markets. However, there are some obstacles to Global GAP implementation, such as: low level of producers awareness, poor understanding of GAP requirements, small farms and lack of direct link with the market place. The main goals of this work are to review existing knowledge regarding to GAP system at the national and international level, to analyze Global GAP standard implementation in the Republic of Serbia and to determine the advantages for whole food chain participants.
AB  - GLOBAL GAP standard je opšte prihvaćen standard koji se odnosi na primarnu poljoprivrednu proizvodnju. Inicijalno je kreiran od strane evropskih maloprodajnih lanaca, zbog čega je njegov prvobitni naziv bio Eurep GAP. U pitanju je partnerski odnos između proizvođača i maloprodaje sa ciljem ustanovljavanja procedura za opštu sertifikaciju dobre poljoprivredne prakse. Primarno, GLOBAL GAP standard je kreiran da bi se održalo poverenje potrošača u pogledu kvaliteta i bezbednosti svežeg voća i povrća. Pošto je implementacija ovog standarda prevazišla granice evropskih tržišta, Srbija i neke druge zemlje u razvoju trebaju da pomognu proizvođačima da se upoznaju sa ovim standardom, kako bi održale konkurentnost na tržištu. Međutim, postoje i neke prepreke u implementaciji GLOBAL GAP standarda, kao što su: nizak nivo svesti proizvođača, nedovoljno poznavanje zahteva GLOBAL GAP-a, mali proizvođači i nedostatak direktnih veza sa tržištem. However, there are some obstacles to Global GAP implementation, such as: low level of producers awareness, poor understanding of GAP requirements, small farms and lack of direct link with the market place. The main goals of this work are to review existing knowledge regarding to GAP system at the national and international level, to analyze Global GAP standard implementation in the Republic of Serbia and to determine the advantages for whole food chain participants., GLOBAL GAP standard je opšte prihvaćen standard koji se odnosi na primarnu poljoprivrednu proizvodnju. Inicijalno je kreiran od strane evropskih maloprodajnih lanaca, zbog čega je njegov prvobitni naziv bio Eurep GAP. U pitanju je partnerski odnos između proizvođača i maloprodaje sa ciljem ustanovljavanja procedura za opštu sertifikaciju dobre poljoprivredne prakse. Primarno, GLOBAL GAP standard je kreiran da bi se održalo poverenje potrošača u pogledu kvaliteta i bezbednosti svežeg voća i povrća. Pošto je implementacija ovog standarda prevazišla granice evropskih tržišta, Srbija i neke druge zemlje u razvoju trebaju da pomognu proizvođačima da se upoznaju sa ovim standardom, kako bi održale konkurentnost na tržištu. Međutim, postoje i neke prepreke u implementaciji GLOBAL GAP standarda, kao što su: nizak nivo svesti proizvođača, nedovoljno poznavanje zahteva GLOBAL GAP-a, mali proizvođači i nedostatak direktnih veza sa tržištem. Cilj ovog rada je da se pruži pregled postojećeg znanja u vezi GLOBAL GAP sistema na nacionalnom i međunarodnom nivou, analizira implementacija ovog standarda u Republici Srbiji i definišu prednosti svih učesnika u lancu hrane.",

The influence of agril foil on production value and fruit quality of strawberry cultivar 'Clery'

AB  - The influence of agril foil utilization on the parameters of production value (flowering and ripening time, yield and physical fruit traits) and fruit quality attributes (chemical properties, total antioxidant capacity and sensorial traits) of strawberry cultivar 'Clery' were studied. Investigations were carried out during 2009. on the private strawberry field located in Grocka. Strawberry plants covered with agril foil weighing 19 g/m2 at the beginning of March 2009. with goal to stimulate their intensive growth and to provide frost protection during the flowering season. Earlier flowering and ripening time were registered in cv 'Clery' grown under agril foil (03.04. and 01.05., respectively), but also mentioned phenological phases lasted longer. A positive influence of agril foil was observed in number of fruits per plant (40,4), however better results regarding yields and physical fruit properties were obtained without foil applying. In this case, higher yield obtained per plant (1.029,9 g) can be explained by larger fruits registered on the plants without agril foil (29,8 g). The soluble solids content ranged from 7,5% (control) to 8,10 % (with agril foil). The same trend can be observed with total phenolic content achieving higher value in the fruit of cv 'Clery' grown under agril foil (2,25 mg GA/g FW). Consequently, the highest total antioxidant capacity, which is of importance not only for maintaining the nutritional value and sensorial fruit quality, but also because of considerable health benefits was also obtained in cv 'Clery' with agril foil utilization.
AB  - U radu je ispitivan uticaj primene agril termozaštitne tkanine na parametre proizvodne vrednosti (fenologija cvetanja i zrenja, rodnost i fizičke osobine ploda) i kvaliteta ploda (hemijske osobine i antioksidativni kapacitet ploda) sorte jagode 'Clery'. Ispitivanja su izvedena 2009. godine, u privatnom zasadu jagode koji se nalazi u Grockoj. Agril termozaštitna tkanina težine 19 g/m2 postavljena je preko biljaka početkom marta 2009. godine sa ciljem ubrzavanja njihovog rasta i zaštite u fenofazi cvetanja tokom kritičnog perioda sa mogućim pojavljivanjem mraza. Raniji početak fenofaze cvetanja (03.04.) i zrenja (01.05.) registrovan je kod sorte 'Clery' pod agrilom, ali i duže trajanje pomenutih fenofaza. Pozitivan uticaj primene agril termozaštitne tkanine registrovan je i kod broja plodova po bokoru (40,4), međutim u pogledu visine prinosa i fizičkih osobina ploda bolji rezultati su ostvareni bez primene agrila. Zahvaljujući većoj masi ploda registrovanoj u kontrolnoj varijanti (29,8 g) ostvaren je i nešto veći prinos po bokoru (1.029,9 g) u poređenju sa prinosom dobijenim pod agrilom (960,1 g), ali značajnost razlika u dobijenim vrednostima nije ustanovljena. Sadržaj rastvorljivih suvih materija u plodu bio je 7,5% u kontroli i 8,1% u tretmanu sa agrilom. Nešto viši sadržaj ukupnih fenola takođe je registrovan u plodu sorte 'Clery' pod agrilom (2,25 mg GA/g sveže mase ploda), kao i viša vrednost antioksidativnog kapaciteta ploda (1,63 mg asc/g sveže mase ploda). Značaj antioksidativnog kapaciteta ploda se ogleda ne samo u očuvanju hranljive vrednosti i senzoričkog kvaliteta ploda, već i u zdravstvenoj korisnosti za ljudski organizam.

Pomological properties of promising raspberry seedlings with yellow fruit

AB  - From over a 100 seedlings obtained by open pollination of Meeker's yellow raspberry clone, 10 seedlings with yellow fruit were selected at the Experimental Station 'Radmilovac' of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade. Phenological characteristics, as well as physical, chemical and sensorial fruit properties were investigated during the period 2007-2008 in selected seedlings and standard cultivar Meeker. Results showed that all examined seedlings expressed later flowering and maturing time than the standard cultivar. The best results of physical fruit properties had the standard cultivar, whereas for the majority of the chemical fruit characteristics selected seedlings showed much better results. Seedling 5 had the highest soluble solid content (15.3 %), while the highest vitamin C content was recorded in the fruits of seedlings 9 (51.04 mg/100g), 10 (51.92 mg/100g), and 17 (50.16 mg/100g). The highest values of the sensorial fruit quality achieved seedling 17 (18.9).
AB  - Od preko 100 sejanaca dobijenih slobodnim oprašivanjem žutog klona sorte Miker izdvojeno je 10 sa žutom bojom ploda koji su kolekcionisani na Oglednom dobru 'Radmilovac' Poljoprivrednog Fakulteta, Univerziteta u Beogradu. U periodu 2007- 2008. godina kod izdvojenih sejanaca i standardne sorte Miker, pored fenoloških, ispitivane su fiziČke, hemijske i senzoricke osobine ploda. Rezultati istraživanja su pokazali da su svi ispitivani sejanci kasnije počinjali fenofaze cvetanja i zrenja u odnosu na sortu standard. Najbolje razultate fizičkih osobina ploda ispoljila je sorta standard, dok su prema većini hemijskih osobina izdvojeni sejanci bili daleko bolji od standardne sorte. Sejanac 5 se odlikuje najvišim sadržajem rastvorljive suve materije (15,3 %), a u pogledu sadržaja vitamina C najviše vrednosti su registrovane kod sejanaca 9 (51,04 mg/100g), 10 (51,92 mg/100g) i 17 (50,16 mg/100g). Najvišu senzoricku ocenu kvaliteta ploda imao je sejanac 17 (18,9).

Sugar and organic acids profile in the fruits of black and red currant cultivars

AB  - In this study, three black currant cultivars (Ben Sarek, Ben Lomond and Malling Juel) and three red currant cultivars (Industrija, Rondom and Red Versailles) were compared in terms of fruit quality by high-performance liquid chromatography analysis in order to determine sugars and organic acids profiles in their fruits. Among the analyzed individual sugars, fructose was determined to be the major component in all studied cultivars. Cv Ben Lomond exhibited the highest levels of glucose (78,8 mg g-1 FW), fructose (117,6 mg g-1 FW) and sucrose (10,1 mg g-1 FW) in comparison to the other tested black currant cultivars. Among investigated red currant cultivars the highest amounts of glucose (81,1 mg g-1 FW), fructose (113,1 mg g-1 FW) and sucrose (14,5 mg g-1 FW) were recorded in the fruits of cv Industrija, as well as the richest content of total sugars (208,7 mg g-1 FW). The same tendency was noticed considering the organic acids content (citric and malic), that is, the highest levels were registered with the cv Industrija (0,32 mg g-1 FW and 0,13 mg g-1 FW, respectively). Black currant cv Ben Sarek displayed the highest contents of citric and malic acids (0,68 mg g-1 FW and 0,14 mg g-1 F, respectively). Generally, dominant share of total acids was exhibited by citric acid in all studied black and red currant cultivars. These results point to the fact that the chemical fruit composition of currants significantly varied among the genotypes of each species analyzed.
AB  - Rad prikazuje rezultate ispitivanja sadržaja šećera i organskih kiselina u plodovima tri sorte crne (Ben Sarek, Ben Lomond i Moling Džul) i tri sorte crvene ribizle (Industrija, Rondom i Versajska crvena), kao determinišućih faktora ukusa ploda. Primenom tehnike tečne hromatografije visokog stepena razdvajanja izvršena je identifikacija i kvantifikacija individualnih šećera (glukoze, fruktoze i saharoze) i organskih kiselina (limunske i jabučne) u plodovima ispitivanih sorti. Ustanovljeno je dominantno prisustvo fruktoze u strukturi ukupnih šećera, sa najvišim registrovanim vrednostima kod sorte crne ribizle Ben Lomond (117,6 mg g-1 sv.m.pl.) i sorte crvene ribizle Industrija (113,1 mg g-1 sv.m.pl.). U pogledu sadržaja organskih kiselina, ista tendencija se zapaža među ispitivanim sortama crvene ribizle, odnosno sorta Industrija se odlikuje najvišim vrednostima sadržaja limunske (0,32 mg g-1 sv.m.pl.) i jabučne kiseline (0,13 mg g-1 sv.m.pl.). Nasuprot niskom sadržaju šećera, sorta crne ribizle Ben Sarek je ispoljila najviše vrednosti sadržaja limunske (0,68 mg g-1 sv.m.pl.) i jabučne kiseline (0,14 mg g-1 sv.m.pl.). Generalno, kod svih ispitivanih sorti crne i crvene ribizle se zapaža dominantna zastupljenost limunske kiseline u strukturi ukupnih kiselina detektovanih u plodu. Dobijeni rezultati ukazuju na činjenicu da hemijski sastav ploda ribizle varira značajno između ispitivanih sorti kod obe analizirane vrste, što može predstavljati značajnu osnovu u daljem oplemenjivačkom radu.

abstract = "In this study, three black currant cultivars (Ben Sarek, Ben Lomond and Malling Juel) and three red currant cultivars (Industrija, Rondom and Red Versailles) were compared in terms of fruit quality by high-performance liquid chromatography analysis in order to determine sugars and organic acids profiles in their fruits. Among the analyzed individual sugars, fructose was determined to be the major component in all studied cultivars. Cv Ben Lomond exhibited the highest levels of glucose (78,8 mg g-1 FW), fructose (117,6 mg g-1 FW) and sucrose (10,1 mg g-1 FW) in comparison to the other tested black currant cultivars. Among investigated red currant cultivars the highest amounts of glucose (81,1 mg g-1 FW), fructose (113,1 mg g-1 FW) and sucrose (14,5 mg g-1 FW) were recorded in the fruits of cv Industrija, as well as the richest content of total sugars (208,7 mg g-1 FW). The same tendency was noticed considering the organic acids content (citric and malic), that is, the highest levels were registered with the cv Industrija (0,32 mg g-1 FW and 0,13 mg g-1 FW, respectively). Black currant cv Ben Sarek displayed the highest contents of citric and malic acids (0,68 mg g-1 FW and 0,14 mg g-1 F, respectively). Generally, dominant share of total acids was exhibited by citric acid in all studied black and red currant cultivars. These results point to the fact that the chemical fruit composition of currants significantly varied among the genotypes of each species analyzed., Rad prikazuje rezultate ispitivanja sadržaja šećera i organskih kiselina u plodovima tri sorte crne (Ben Sarek, Ben Lomond i Moling Džul) i tri sorte crvene ribizle (Industrija, Rondom i Versajska crvena), kao determinišućih faktora ukusa ploda. Primenom tehnike tečne hromatografije visokog stepena razdvajanja izvršena je identifikacija i kvantifikacija individualnih šećera (glukoze, fruktoze i saharoze) i organskih kiselina (limunske i jabučne) u plodovima ispitivanih sorti. Ustanovljeno je dominantno prisustvo fruktoze u strukturi ukupnih šećera, sa najvišim registrovanim vrednostima kod sorte crne ribizle Ben Lomond (117,6 mg g-1 sv.m.pl.) i sorte crvene ribizle Industrija (113,1 mg g-1 sv.m.pl.). U pogledu sadržaja organskih kiselina, ista tendencija se zapaža među ispitivanim sortama crvene ribizle, odnosno sorta Industrija se odlikuje najvišim vrednostima sadržaja limunske (0,32 mg g-1 sv.m.pl.) i jabučne kiseline (0,13 mg g-1 sv.m.pl.). Nasuprot niskom sadržaju šećera, sorta crne ribizle Ben Sarek je ispoljila najviše vrednosti sadržaja limunske (0,68 mg g-1 sv.m.pl.) i jabučne kiseline (0,14 mg g-1 sv.m.pl.). Generalno, kod svih ispitivanih sorti crne i crvene ribizle se zapaža dominantna zastupljenost limunske kiseline u strukturi ukupnih kiselina detektovanih u plodu. Dobijeni rezultati ukazuju na činjenicu da hemijski sastav ploda ribizle varira značajno između ispitivanih sorti kod obe analizirane vrste, što može predstavljati značajnu osnovu u daljem oplemenjivačkom radu.",

Selection of red raspberry genotypes (Rubus idaeus L.)

AB  - Pomological properties of seedlings obtained by open pollination of Meeker's yellow clone were investigated. From over a 100 seedlings obtained from this progeny, 16 genotypes with red fruits were selected on the Experimental Station 'Radmilovac' that belongs to the Faculty of Agriculture in Belgrade. Dunnett-test was used for single testing of physical and chemical traits of raspberry genotypes. It was found that majority of selected genotypes were in the rank with the standard cultivar Meeker, so the final selection of raspberry genotypes was based on organoleptic characteristics. From 16 examined genotypes nine were selected (I/3/2P, I/6/2, I/8/2, II/2/2P, II/3/4P, II/5/3P, II/8/2, II/8/2P and II/PP/2) for further investigation.
AB  - U radu su ispitivane pomološke osobine sejanaca dobijenih slobodnom oplodnjom žutog klona sorte Miker. Od preko 100 odgajenih sejanaca iz ovog potomstva, na oglednom dobru 'Radmilovac', Poljoprivrednog fakulteta u Beogradu, odabrano je 16 genotipova crvene boje ploda. Pojedinačnim testiranjem genotipova na morfološke osobine, pomoću Dunnett-ovog testa, pokazano je da se veliki broj izdvojenih genotipova nalazio u rangu sa standardnom sortom Miker, pa je konačna selekcija genotipova maline izvršena na osnovu organoleptičkih osobina. Od 16 ispitivanih genotipova maline izdvojeno je devet (I/3/2P, I/6/2, I/8/2, II/2/2P, II/3/4P, II/5/3P, II/8/2, II/8/2P i II/PP/2) za dalje ispitivanje.

Pomological and antioxidant fruit properties of strawberry cultivars grown in Mačva region

AB  - In this work pomological properties of strawberry cultivars were studied considering ripening time, physical and chemical fruit traits as quality attribute parameters, as well as total antioxidant capacity and total phenolics as nutritional parameters. The above mentioned parameters were used for screening five strawberry cultivars (Clery, Elsanta, Arosa, Marmolada and Madeleine) grown in Mačva region (Šabac). Investigations were carried out during 2008. on the private strawberry field of 'Libertas' company. The earliest ripening time was recorded in cv Clery (07.05.), and the latest in cv Arosa (22.05.). Cv Arosa expressed the highest values of fruit weight (41,2 g) and fruit dimensions, as well as the highest soluble solids content (8,7 %). Cv Marmolada had the highest amounts of total sugars (6,92 %), inverted sugars (6,13 %) and vitamin C (80,9 mg 100g-1 FW). Besides vitamin C, as a strong antioxidant in strawberries, total phenolic content were also detected in the studied cultivars, achieving the highest values in cvs Elsanta (16,8 mg g-1 FW) and Marmolada (16,5 mg g-1 FW). Consequently, these cultivars expressed the highest fruit antioxidant capacity which is of importance not only for maintaining the nutritional value and sensorial fruit quality, but also because of considerable health benefits. Generally, on the base of most studied parameters for commercial growing in Mačva region, we can recommend cvs. Arosa, Marmolada and Elsanta, as well as cv Clery with regard to earliness.

AB  - Pomological properties of eight floricane red raspberry cultivars (Shopska alena, Bugarski rubin, Tulameen, Meeker, Glen ample, Podgorina and Gradina) compared with the standard cultivar Willamette were investigated. The study was conducted at the Experimental Station 'Radmilovac', a collective raspberry plantation of the Faculty of Agriculture, Belgrade University, in the period of 2006-2007. The ripening time and more important parameters of physical (fruit weight, fruit dimensions, index of fruit shape and number of drupelets per fruit), chemical (total content of soluble solids and sugars, and total acid content) and sensorial fruit properties of the cultivars were studied. The most of investigated raspberry cultivars expressed a later ripening time in comparison with the standard cultivar under agroecological conditions of the Belgrade region. The fruit weight ranged from 3.38 (Tulameen) to 5.26 g (Podgorina), and considering standard cultivar Willamette (3.76 g), three examined cultivars Podgorina, Glen ample and Gradina expressed statistically very significantly higher values for this property. The cultivar Tulameen had the lowest fruit weight, but the best favourable chemical fruit composition, based on the highest soluble solids (11.2%) and sugars content, was also recorded. Based on the majority of studied parameters, raspberry cultivars Meeker, Tulameen and Glen ample can be recommended for commercial growing in the Belgrade region.
AB  - U radu su ispitivani vreme zrenja i važniji parametri kvaliteta ploda jednorodnih sorti crvene maline (Šopska alena, Bugarski rubin, Tjulamin, Miker, Glenempl, Podgorina, Gradina) u poređenju sa sortom standard - Vilamet. Ispitivanja su vršena u kolekcionom zasadu jednorodnih sorti crvene maline na OD 'Radmilovac' Poljoprivrednog fakulteta iz Beograda, tokom perioda 2006-2007. Najraniji početak fenofaze zrenja registrovan je kod sorti Vilamet (standard) i Bugarski rubin (11. juni), dok su ostale ispitivane sorte ispoljile poznije vreme zrenja u poređenju sa standardom. Prosečna masa ploda kretala se u rasponu od 3,38 g kod sorte Tjulamin do 5,26 g kod sorte Podgorina i kod tri ispitivane sorte (Podgorina, Glen empl i Gradina) registrovane su statistički veoma značajno više vrednosti u odnosu na sortu standard (3,76 g). Najveći sadržaj rastvorljive suve materije (11,2%), a shodno tome i ukupnih šećera (8,46%), invertnih šećera (7,46%) i saharoze (0,96%), registrovan je kod sorte Tjulamin, dok je najniže vrednosti za pomenute parametre ispoljila sorta Gradina. Najbolju senzoričku ocenu kvaliteta ploda ostvarila je sorta Miker (19,2 poena), a zatim slede sorte Tjulamin i Glen empl (18,5 poena), koje se na osnovu rezultata većine analiziranih parametara mogu preporučiti za šire gajenje u uslovima beogradskog Podunavlja.

Najveći sadržaj rastvorljive suve materije (11,2%), a shodno tome i ukupnih šećera (8,46%), invertnih šećera (7,46%) i saharoze (0,96%), registrovan je kod sorte Tjulamin, dok je najniže vrednosti za pomenute parametre ispoljila sorta Gradina. Najbolju senzoričku ocenu kvaliteta ploda ostvarila je sorta Miker (19,2 poena), a zatim slede sorte Tjulamin i Glen empl (18,5 poena), koje se na osnovu rezultata većine analiziranih parametara mogu preporučiti za šire gajenje u uslovima beogradskog Podunavlja.",

AB  - In this paper, first results from trials with primocane fruiting raspberry cultivars 'Autumn Bliss', 'Golden Bliss', 'Polana' and 'Polka' are shown. These cultivars are grown on relative small plots in Serbia. Previous results has shown that mentioned cultivars expressed good fruit properties with regard fruit mass and content of soluble solids. State and prospects of raspberry production in Serbia

AB  - This paper presents the state of raspberries growing in Serbia and its perspectives. With annual production of over 60 000 tons Serbia holds significant place in the global production of this kind. Unfortunately, almost the entire quantity is frozen and exported as semi-finished product, and a very small part of it in higher levels of processing or fresh. Thereby the economic effect of this production is significantly decreased. One cultivar prevails in the entire assortment (Willamette), and a significantly better cultivar Meeker is slowly introduced in the production. There are only several hectares of primocane fruiting raspberry cultivars. Growing technology is conventional and two wire vertical trellis system of growing prevails. Insufficiently built road network and distance of plantings from the cold storage have impact on the quality of fruits, and the percentage of first class fruits is around 30 to 35%. Lack of producer organizations and non-loyal competition among purchasers contribute to fluctuating prices, which leads to difficulties in export of raspberries from Serbia and this production very often makes it unprofitable. Expensive production due to expensive workforce and input components also contributes to this. The solution is to increased the offer of fresh raspberries as well as raspberries of higher degree of finalization process: dried, concentrates, etc. A significantly better organization of production and a better presentation of the products in the market with recognizable trademark are also necessary.

Pomological properties of primocane fruiting raspberry cultivars grown in the Belgrade region

AB  - During 2006-2007, studies were conducted at the Experimental farm 'Radmilovac', a collective raspberry plantation of the Faculty of Agriculture, Belgrade University. The experiment included four primocane fruiting raspberry cultivars: Autumn Bliss, Ljuljin, Polana and Polka. The ripening time and important physical (fruit weight, fruit dimension, fruit shape index and number of drupelets per fruit), chemical (soluble solids content, sugar content and total acids content) and organoleptic fruit properties were studied. In both studied years, cv. Autumn Bliss expressed the earliest ripening time with average date of 29th Jun. The latest harvest time was recorded in cv Ljuljin (12th July) as well as the shortest harvesting season (71 days). Fruit weight ranged from 2.32 g (Autumn Bliss) to 2.85 g (Polana), whereas the values of fruit shape index were lower than 1.00 in the most of studied cultivars. Cv Polana had the best physical fruit properties, but the least favourable chemical fruit composition, based on lower soluble solids and sugars content, was also recorded. Based on the most of studied parameters, cvs Polka, Polana and Autumn Bliss can be recommended for commercial off-season raspberry production in the region of Belgrade. However, cv Autumn Bliss is only recommended because of earliness, which can provide extend of market supply with fresh raspberry fruits after the end of floricane raspberry harvesting.
AB  - Rad prikazuje rezultate pomoloških ispitivanja četiri remontantne sorte crvene maline (Autumn Bliss, Ljuljin, Polana i Polka). Ispitivanja su vršena u kolekcionom zasadu maline na OD 'Radmilovac' Poljoprivrednog fakulteta iz Beograda, u periodu 2006-2007. godina. Zasad je zasnovan 2005. godine po sistemu pantljike širine 60 cm, bez naslona. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata većine ispitivanih parametara, za vansezonsko komercijalno gajenje maline u uslovima gročansko-smederevskog Podunavlja mogu se preporučiti sorte Polka, Polana i Autumn Bliss, sa napomenom da se sorta Autumn Bliss preporučuje isključivo zbog ranog vremena zrenja dok je senzorički kvalitet ploda poražavajući.

AB  - The work presents characteristics of 'Lisa' raspberry, which is a yellow sport of 'Meeker'. The clone was tested for three years in a commercial grower's field. The plant has strong canes, light green colour and good yields. The fruits are large (3.7 g per berry), and have a short conical shape with a fine yellow colour. The other characteristics are similar to those of 'Meeker'. According to its organoleptic characteristics, this clone is slightly better than 'Meeker'.

AB  - Results of studying the influence of three different mulch types (black, white and silver foil) on pomological properties in newly introduced strawberry cultivars Clery and Miss are presented in this work. Researches were conducted in greenhouse at the Experimental property of "Zeleni Hit" enterprise in Belgrade, during the period from 2005. to 2006. Planting was done on banks covered with different mulch foil in the form of bands with two rows. Investigations included: the ripening time, as well as more important physical, chemical and organoleptic fruit properties. Based on most studied parameters, silver and white mulch types expressed a positive influence on physical, chemical and organoleptic fruit properties in studied cvs Clery and Miss. Therefore, they can be recommended for commercial strawberry growing in greenhouse during two-year-old production system. Regarding the earliness, black mulch type has also practical application in the off-season strawberry production. .
AB  - Rad prikazuje rezultate proučavanja uticaja tri različito obojene malč folije (crna, bela i srebrna) na pomološke osobine novointrodukovanih sorti jagode Clery i Miss, gajenih na gredicama u plasteniku. Istraživanja su vršena na demonstraciono-oglednom polju preduzeća "Zeleni Hit" iz Beograda, u periodu 2005-2006. godine. Proučavanjem su obuhvaćeni vreme zrenja, kao i važnije pomološke osobine ploda (masa, dimenzije, indeks oblika i dužina peteljke ploda), hemijski sastav ploda (sadržaj rastvorljive suve materije, šećera i ukupnih kiselina) i na kraju je data organoleptička ocena kvaliteta ploda. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata vremena zrenja, možemo konstatovati da su ispitivane sorte jagode imale raniji i identičan početak zrenja na crnoj i srebrnoj malč foliji u jesenjoj berbi i da se slična tendencija zapaža i u prolećnoj berbi. Pozitivan uticaj na većinu pomoloških osobina ploda, hemijski sastav ploda i organoleptičke osobine sorti jagode Clery i Miss ispoljile su srebrna i bela malč folija, zbog čega se mogu preporučiti za širu primenu u plasteničkoj vansezonskoj proizvodnji jagode. Posmatrano sa aspekta ranostasnosti i crna malč folija nalazi svoju primenu u vansezonskom ciklusu proizvodnje jagode. .

AB  - The obtained results show the pomological properties of six newly introduced red currant cultivars: Rovada, Red Poll, Rondom, Junifer, Makosta and Detvan in comparison to the cultivar standard - Industria (Heinemann's Rote Spatlese). The study was conducted in the collection orchard of red currant cultivars located in the nursery "Omega", the village of Mislodjin in the vicinity of Belgrade. The experiment was established in the spring of 2005. It included three replications, three bushes per plot, planted at the distance 3.0 x 1.0m. The study included some most important indicators of physical properties of the cluster and fruit, chemical composition of fruit, as well as, the sensory evaluation of fruit quality based on which ranking of cultivars according to their quality was established. Based on the analysis of physical properties of the cluster it can be concluded that the cultivar Red Poll was superior with regard to the cluster weight (15.75g), cluster length (10.38cm) and the number of berries per cluster (22.3). Also, that cultivar had the highest content of soluble solids (13.4%) and total acids (2.95%). The other tested newly introduced cultivars Rovada, Rondom and Detvan demonstrated higher values of physical cluster properties and the berry weight in comparison to the standard cultivar - Industria, that expressed better results with regard to the fruit chemical composition. Therefore, the mentioned four newly introduced cultivars, as well as, the standard cultivar, can be recommended for commercial growing under the agroecological conditions of the broader Belgrade area. .
AB  - Rad prikazuje rezultate ispitivanja pomoloških osobina šest novointrodukovanih sorti crvene ribizle: Rovada, Red Poll, Rondom, Junifer, Makosta i Detvan. Kao standard je korišćena sorta Industria (Heinemann's Rote Spatlese). Proučavanja su vršena u kolekcionom zasadu crvene ribizle na imanju rasadnika "Omega" u selu Mislođin, u periodu 2005-2006. Ogledom su obuhvaćeni važniji pokazatelji fizičkih osobina grozda i ploda, hemijski sastav ploda, kao i senzorička ocena kvaliteta ploda, na osnovu koje je izvršeno rangiranje sorti po kvalitetu. Analizirajući dobijene rezultate, možemo konstatovati da je sorta Red Poll u pogledu parametara fizičkih osobina grozda ispoljila superiornost među ispitivanim novointrodukovanim sortama, kao i u odnosu na sortu standard - Industria, koja je manifestovala statistički veoma značajno niže vrednosti mase grozda (5,35 g) i dužine grozda (6,30 cm) u poređenju sa pet ispitivanih novointrodukovanih sorti. Najveći sadržaj rastvorljive suve materije (13,4 %) i ukupnih kiselina (2,95%) registrovan je kod sorte Red Poll, što pored odličnih fizičkih osobina grozda, ukazuje i na visok kvalitet ploda pomenute sorte. Pored ove sorte, bolje rezultate u pogledu većine analiziranih parametara ispoljile su i sorte Rovada, Rondom i Detvan u odnosu na sortu standard (Industria), koja zahvaljujući pogodnom biohemijskom sastavu ploda i dalje ostaje vodeća industrijska sorta. .

AB  - Results of studying the cropping and fruit quality in strawberry cultivar Elsanta grown in a vertical system are presented in this work. Researches were conducted in high tunnel at the private property in Surčin, during the vegetation of 2007. Planting was done in pots filled with 5,5 l substrate mixtures. Four plants were planted per a pot and nine pots were arranged in a vertical system. Investigations included: the flowering and ripening time, cropping potential, as well as more important physical, chemical and organoleptic fruit properties. Based on most studied parameters, hydroponics system for commercial growing of strawberry cultivar Elsanta in high tunnel can be recommended. However, vertical hydroponics growing system has shown more defects because of that we should intend its’ modification and promotion.
AB  - U radu su prikazani rezultati ispitivanja rodnosti i kvaliteta ploda sorte jagode Elsanta gajene u vertikalnom sistemu uzgoja. Ispitivanja vršena tokom vegetacije 2007. godine obuhvatila su vreme cvetanja i zrenja, rodnost, kao i važnije pokazatelje kvaliteta ploda ispitivane sorte jagode. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata većine ispitivanih parametara, za komercijalnu vansezonsku proizvodnju sorte jagode Elsanta u visokom tunelu može se preporučiti primena hidroponskog sistema uzgoja, sa napomenom da vertikalni sistem uzgoja pokazuje brojne nedostatke zbog čega treba težiti njegovoj modifikaciji.

AB  - Effects of different substrate mixtures on more important parameters of generative potential in Clery strawberry cultivar were investigated. Researches were conducted in a high tunnel at the Experimental property of "Zeleni Hit" enterprise in Belgrade, during the period from 2005 to 2006. Planting was done in bags filled with 20 l substrate mixtures. Four plants were planted per a bag. Investigations included: the flowering and ripening time, number of fruitful stalk per tiller, total number of flowers and fruits per tiller, fruit weight and, accordingly, yield per tiller and square meter. Based on the most studied parameters, C, D, B and F substrate mixtures expressed a positive influence on earliness and plant productivity of the Clery strawberry cultivar. Therefore, they can be recommended for commercial strawberry growing as substrate culture in a two year production system.
AB  - U ovom radu je ispitivan uticaj sedam različitih supstratnih smeša na fenološke osobine i rodni potencijal sorte jagode Clery. Istraživanja su vršena u visokom tunelu na Demonstraciono-oglednom polju preduzeća "Zeleni Hit" iz Beograda, u periodu 2005-2006. godine. Sadnja je obavljena početkom avgusta 2005. godine u vreće zapremine 20 l supstratne smeše, sa gustinom sklopa od 8 biljaka/m2. Proučavanjem su obuhvaćene važnije biološke osobine sorte jagode Clery: vreme cvetanja i zrenja, kao i pokazatelji rodnog potencijala u funkciji različitih smeša supstrata. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata, među ispitivanim supstratnim smešama pozitivan uticaj na ranostasnost, produkciju cvetova i plodova, oplodnju, masu ploda i prinos sorte jagode Clery ispoljile su supstratne smeše C, D, B i F, zbog čega se mogu preporučiti za širu primenu u kontejnerskom uzgoju jagode.

AB  - Rad prikazuje rezultate proučavanja pet novointrodukovanih sorti jagode gajenih u visokom tunelu u vrećama sa supstratom na postoljima visine 1,1 m. Ispitivanja vršena u periodu 2005-2006 godina obuhvatila su vreme zrenja, rodnost, kao i važnije pokazatelje kvaliteta ploda novointrodukovanih sorti jagode. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata većine ispitivanih parametara, za komercijalno gajenje jagode kao kontejnerske kulture u visokom tunelu mogu se preporučiti sledeće sorte: Thuchampion, Clery i Thurubin, sa napomenom da se sorta Thurubin preporučuje isključivo zbog visoke produktivnosti i vrlo krupnog ploda dok je sam kvalitet mesa ploda poražavajući.

Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata većine ispitivanih parametara, za komercijalno gajenje jagode kao kontejnerske kulture u visokom tunelu mogu se preporučiti sledeće sorte: Thuchampion, Clery i Thurubin, sa napomenom da se sorta Thurubin preporučuje isključivo zbog visoke produktivnosti i vrlo krupnog ploda dok je sam kvalitet mesa ploda poražavajući.",
