The analysis of DC Stark shift for NeI 511.367 nm
line was previously reported by Jäger and Windholz
[1] who found that the line splits into three Stark
components, shifted towards larger wavelengths
(i.e. smaller wave numbers). In a wide range of
electric field (>50 kV/cm), they successfully fitted
measured Stark shifts with eq. 2, using the Stark
coefficients listed in table 2, see [1].
Unfortunately, this neon line exhibits small Stark
shifts, which require high spectral resolution for
reliable electric field strength measurement in the
cathode sheath (CS) region of neon glow discharge
(GD). Fortunately, there are another neutral neon
lines, such as NeI 503.134 nm, which have much
larger Stark shifts, but there are no experimental data
for determination of algebraic coefficients for
electric field strength evaluation.
To measure the Stark shifts of the
NeI 511.367 nm line, we have fitted its experimental
profiles with the model function developed for this
purpose.... The aim of this work are measurements
Stark shift of NeI 511.367 nm and comparison with
results obtained in [1].
