Relation between greenhouse gas emissions by sectors and environmental protection expenditure: EU (28)

Abstract

For 2020, the EU has made a unilateral commitment to reduce overall greenhouse gas emissions from its 28 Member States by 20% compared to 1990 levels. Also, the EU has also committed to reduce its emissions by 20% under the Kyoto Protocol's second period. The basic aim of this paper is to analyze the relation between environmental protection expenditure and total greenhouse gas emissions by sectors in the EU (28) in the period 2001-2012. This paper confirms the negative relationship between environmental protection expenditure and total greenhouse gas emissions by sectors in EU (28) in the period 2001- 2012.

Za 2020, EU je zaključila unilateralne dogovore sa 28 zemalja članica o ukupnom smanjenju emisije 'gasova staklene bašte' za 20% u odnosu na nivoe u 1990 godini. Osim toga, EU je postigla dogovor o smanjenju emisije 'gasova staklene bašte' za 20% u drugom periodu Kjoto protokola. Osnovni cilj ovog rada je analiza relacije između rashoda namenjenih zaštiti životne sredine i ukupne emisije 'gasova staklene bašte' po sektorima u EU (28) u periodu 2001-2012. Ovaj rad pokazuje da postoji negativna relacija između rashoda namenjenih zaštiti životne sredine i emisije 'gasova staklene bašte' po sektorima u EU (28) u posmatranom periodu.
