Abstract
In the Stara Planina population, dogwood (Cornus mas L.), is one of the most spreaded fruit species, according to the method developed by Braun-Blanquet, 1964 - it spreads over 80-100% of areas, and it covers 25-50% of surface. In the Stara Planina region, the area Radičevac, the most important biological and pomological traits of dogwood (Cornus mas L.), on randomly selected sample of 30 genotypes, were observed with the aim to recognize biological diversity of this population. Based on important properties of vegetative and generative organs such as tree, fruit branches and flowers, pomological fruit properties and yielding, genotypes 1, 5, and 20 were the most valuable and investigation on them will continue.
